Everybody's always yapping about milk in a bag, meanwhile they're putting syrup in cans!? What other packaging nonsense is going on up there?

I take no responsabilities for this!!! I only deal the actual stuff!

I just bet Scott has something to do with this!

I need this brand of maple syrup in my life

The maple syrup consortium is going to be sending out their leg breakers. Almost not a joke.

From my understanding a significant portion of the maple syrup and honey is cut with other sweeteners like fructose syrup. Pay attention to the products you buy so they keep quality high.

Luckily for me, I buy mine from my sister. My brother-in-law and nephew have a maple shack and they make it themselves, as well as canning it, so it's pure tree blood.

That is how you know it is the canadians behind the scam, had it been americans it would have been corn syrup

Wait till you find about the honey industry and it's usually corn syrup.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well sir. Youll just have to sit here and drink every can till you learn your lesson.

It's one thing to try and sell this diluted product to the Americans, but to try and stock the shelves of Quebec with it? You're just begging to get caught at that point. I'm pretty sure QC has maple syrup sommeliers

Am I insane or is that the second time this has happened? Because I remember, at the back of my head, that there was already such a bogus once.

food fraud is no joke! unless you work in the food industry. I can honestly say I've never worked for an employer that wasn't intentionally breaking laws.

In Canada, that's an offense worse than treason...or not liking hockey...

You mean ice lacrosse?

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You joke, but we actually have a strategic maple syrup reserve.

3 months ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 0

Quebec also has a syrup mafia, like they have hard authority to dictate how much someone can produce and apparently you do not go over their helmet.

I'm from Washington and don't really eat sugar at all. I use maple syrup for every thing including like whip cream instead of vanilla. You can tell when that shit isn't pure!!

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Calling maple syrup not "sugar at all" are some real vibrant and creative mental gymnastics.

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

He means sugar sugar as in like brown sugar or cane sugar.

Any difference is immaterial to your nutrition, especially with regards to maple syrup, which is primarily sucrose.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That’s a hate crime

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Brother, they put a fucking Maple Leaf on their flag and that's it. Do not fuck with the maple syrup industry.

The sacred tree blood

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

If you can't tell the difference without a lab test, does it really matter?

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's damned yankee thinking

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Oh no! Someone sweetened my tree jizz!"

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The best quick reference for 'pure' maple syrups is if the label says 100% pure maple syrup. The price should also be a good indicator. Maple mixed with other sugars is noting new, but if the ingredients don't specify other sugars, it is fraud.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was being facetious. I understand the implications. I just don't use maple syrup.
