#26 What's the book above "Black Ties and White Lies?" It looks like pretty sprayed edges but I don't think that's the case.

#11 We used to have Blendi when I was a kid in the 70's growing up near Germany (Googled it but didn't get a hit on the name I recalled: BiBa Blendi, not sure if my parent bought it in Germany or if it was available in the Netherlands). Had a fruity taste and I used to eat small pea size parts of it... Didn't help my teeth as I had tons of cavities as a kid (but virtually none since adulthood) https://americanhistory.si.edu/collections/object/nmah_1061038

#11 My older brother hates the taste of mint and often has no choice but to get kids toothpaste bc they're the only ones that aren't mint flavor or 'absent of all concept of pleasure or flavor' flavor.

#13 I'm pretty sure that's the kitten from the old Domo-Kun memes (minus the doordash gear of course).....

#15 Meanwhile, we try to feed Donald Trump a Cobb salad without him recoiling in fear at the avocado. The reason it looks wet is because it’s salivating at the chance…

#2 I've never seen it spelled this way, but I can hear it, and i'm never not using it spelled that way.

#5 I usually make my kids listen to Alice's Restaurant. Also a song about the North Texas - Southern Oklahoma Methamphetamine Industry (AKA live version of Choctaw Bingo)

1 month ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

The McMurtry live recording of that was my first exposure and still my fav

"You can have anything you want at Alice's restaurant!"

#11 I'm calling the cops. Over age consumption is not a joke, the next kid you see with a cavity just remember that's your fault.

#11 that's odd, i thought you weren't supposed to use fluoride toothpaste for small children because they swallow too much of it.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

500ppm is a much smaller amount than adults or even older kids toothpaste.

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Also the amount that we are supposed to out is pretty miniscule.

#11 mint toothpaste tastes horrible and I'll die on that hill. really miss when I could easily buy cinnamon or orange flavored toothpaste. mint makes me wanna vomit.

1 month ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 4

Pro tip: you can still buy cinnamon or orange flavoured tooth paste (granted they're available)

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pro tip: find an Indian grocery in your area. They generally sell toothpastes that taste more herbal and less minty.

My time to plug Hello brand toothpaste! I use one that tastes like blue raspberry, my husband switches between strawberry and bubble gum. You won’t have to deal with disgusting mint aftertaste ever again

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't mind black jelly bean flavor or ginger.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I still buy Close Up which is cinnamon. However, my husband cant find the orange Aquafresh though.

mint toothpaste makes me actually throw up. Kids toothpaste is better than not brushing your teeth at all

1 month ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Kids toothpaste is functionally no different from regular - except is often has more fluoride for some reason. The outcome is the same, though

Gay frogs?

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Worse. Gay frogs with PERFECT DENTAL HYGIENE!!!!!

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I will buy the absolute most childish-looking toothpaste if it means staying away from mint, just the smell makes me gag.

I'm the same way. I have faked allergies to mint at the dentist's office for that reason. My current toothpaste is Orajel bubblegum (ages 2-10), my last toothpaste was Tom's of Maine "silly strawberry" (ages 2+). Most grocery stores have 1-2 non-mints.

Good luck, you can't throw a rock in this society without hitting something mint flavored.

#1 - I fucking loved bowling on Wii Sports. Nintendo Switch Sports has a pretty good bowling, but the need to have an online subscription to have any opponents sucks. Just let me bowl against AI opponents

1 month ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 2

Wii Sports was awesome. But I have to mention Wii Fit too, especially ski jump in it. It was fucking awesome, we would have huge competitions in it.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Today I found out they’re doing a remake of Wii Sports Resort..

.. only on the switch 2.

I get that they’ve made a new console and are now focusing on it, but it’s already pricey and they’re even raising the damn price soon. I know the switch 2 is decently powerful, but $499 is crazy especially with the price of the games for it.

While I don't disagree with you, I'm curious as to the need for AI opponents considering bowling is functionally no matter if one person or 10 people are playing.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I don't *need* opponents, it would just be nice to have someone to compete against without having to drag family or friends into playing with me. Once in a while i'd like to just have a simple computer opponent to give me SOME kind of challenge to it.

That was the main use of the Xbox Kinetic for us. Bowling and ping-pong we're awesome.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

PingPong was the very first thing I ever played on an Xbox 360... It was a demo at Gamestop and I played it for about five or ten minutes, just marveling at the advanced graphics. Never did find that game once I actually bought a 360

It was all fun and games until your wrist strap wasn’t tight enough and your controller went flying into the tv

1 month ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

Thankfully that never happened with me. I got the Wii when it was brand new and I still had a big ass HD CRT for a TV. Everyone was intelligent enough to strap the controllers on tightly, and before I let kids have a go they had to have an adult put the strap on for them. We took reasonable precautions and never had a problem... Now me playing Vader Immortal on my VR is another matter... Accidentally punched the TV while I was thrusting with a lightsaber.

The remote sleeves were comfy and saved my TV a time or two

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I never found those very comfy, which is kinda weird cause I have big hands. Always kept them though, in case I had some of the younger nieces and nephews come by. Better safe than sorry

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I wonder if we're thinking of the same product, the biggest part of the sleeves i had was at the IR end, the rest of it was pretty slim

When we first got our Wii, we played Wii Sports tennis like... all night. Woke up the next morning sore in places I didn't know I could be sore in.

Definitely gave myself a few repetitive stress injuries from Switch Sports bowling and golf. lol
