Police killed baby Kohen Wiley during a diaper shoplifting stop. People protested outside the Walmart. Police gassed them. The diapers would have cost less than the tear gas.

A baby named Kohen Wiley is dead. Police shot him during a shoplifting stop. His mother allegedly stole diapers. DIAPERS. The most basic item a parent needs to keep an infant alive. And when people gathered outside the Walmart to protest, police gassed them with tear gas. In front of the Walmart.

Let's be forensically clear about the chain of events: Mother steals diapers. Police respond. Baby dies. People protest baby's death. Police gas the protesters. At no point in this sequence does anyone in authority stop and ask "are we the problem here." NOT. ONCE.

A country that spends more on its military than the next ten nations combined could not — or would not — build systems that don't end with dead infants over stolen diapers outside a Walmart. This isn't a failure of resources. It is a failure of will, values, and basic human fucking decency. ⛓️

Kohen Wiley. Say his name. A baby. Diapers. Dead. Protesters gassed. Outside a Walmart. In the land of the free. If this doesn't break something in you, check whether something in you is still working.

Senatobia, Ms is southern hicKKK town with an all white PD. They start by lying with fake self defense stories and refuse to identify the shooting cop. Eventually the cop will be named, fired by the local PD and hired by the Sheriff's Dept. Did I mention with a hefty raise?

Kohen Wiley did not "die". Kohen Wiley is not "dead".

Kohen Wiley was SHOT and KILLED. Senatobia police SHOT and KILLED Kohen Wiley.

FUCK the passive voice in stories, and posts, like this.

They are here to protect property, not to help you.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Am I the only one thinking there needs to be a middle line of defense with battery powered leaf blowers to blow the gas back towards the police?

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That Walmart should expect to have a massive surge in thefts, hell I wouldn't be shocked if someone started it on fire. People are pissed off and the cops are going to push too far again.

When you push people to their breaking point, those cops would easily be overrun and would retreat.

Acab, they need to be shown proper street justice. Send them home with less teeth, less fingers, less anything except brain cells because they already have so few. Fucking nazis

Interesting not a single dark arm on any of those officers.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fucking rise up already. What are you waiting for? That they kill your children too?

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

Yes. For most people, violence has to hit very close to home before they become willing to put their literal lives on the line themselves. Some people are willing to step up sooner, but only in the safety of large numbers. That takes planning and coordination, and a heck of a lot of trust.

You learn when training at stores like walmart, kroger, whatever, that the two most shoplifted items it's:
1. Baby formula
2. Diapers

I learned that back in 2015, and if that doesn't help you realize how fucked in the head our economy is, then you need some serious help.

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Police are not there to help, they are the fascist enforcement arm of the government enlisted by the ultra wealthy to protect their property at the cost of the rest of our lives, treat them accordingly.

Stealing from corporations is morally correct, if its food or a car or anything in between. Corporations have stolen more from us than we could ever steal back.

You know what's really disgusting? This happened in a "pro-life" state, where a 13-year-old rape victim had to give birth because the state has a near-total abortion ban.

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

My honorable OP...after living in this country as an 'adult' now for over 20 years... it feels like there's nothing left to break. We are, as many have put it, a shithole country. It's just depressing knowing there's a bunch of good people here that should be protected by their country.

There is no profit in protecting people. America worships the dollar. It's our new god.

"in god we trust" on all our money. Because money is the only god we trust. And we trust it to be funnelled into the pockets of the wealthy

I was standing in line to have my receipt checked so I could leave Sam's Club when the shoplifting alarm went off. It was immediately apparent that it was a non issue- the attendant wave the person through- but someone behind me shouted "get 'em!". We are so, bloodthirsty it's disgusting.

Depends on who you ask. If you ask a Zionist nazi that hates immigrants and people of color, then we’re getting there. If you ask anyone that didn’t vote for trump then you’ll hear that we’re sliding back into the dark ages as far as civil rights and personal freedoms are concerned. But no, we are not great again. Quite the opposite.

Don’t just be outraged. Go buy a giant pack of diapers and donate them to your local diaper bank or other charity that gives out diapers.

You can be outraged at an officer of the law killing a 1 year old and still donate diapers. Don't be a fucking ghoul.

Which is why they said “Don’t JUST be outraged.”

1 month ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Good old America. Treating symptoms instead of roots and feeling good about it while the main cause festers.

1 month ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 7

We need to do both. Republicans are in the way tho

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In a sense yes. Ultimately, oligarchs are in the way. GOP are the obvious villains, but after the mass anti police protests in 2020, many blue states and cities promised to cut police budgets and reform the police academy. Nearly, if not all of those promises went unfulfilled.

Those in power like having a force to keep those without in line. Blue has given lip service to correct that, but action has yet to be significant enough to prompt major change.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

it will take decades to cure the root of the problem, doesn't help the mom that needs diapers this weekend. You can do both you know?

1 month ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

I fully agree. The person I responded to saying "don't be outraged" seemed to be missing that.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

You missed a very important part of the story: The officers(Multiple) claimed the mother sped away straight towards officers who were in fear for their lives and had no other choice available other then to shoot wildly into a vehicle in a parkinglot filled with pedestrians. It's important because video will show this wasn't true in the slightests and every officer that signed off on that statement should be prosecuted. They won't ofcourse but it's fun to think about living in that world.

1 month ago | Likes 619 Dislikes 5

Has this video been released yet. This is the first I’m hearing of this tragedy.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Out of curiosity, what video? I haven't seen anything released yet

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBFKqkXtOoY around 45 seconds it starts. I'm sure they'll say she was reversing towards them at a high rate of speed, as they ran full speed towards the car backing out of the parking spot.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Executed. Every officer who signed off on the report and was involved in the incident need EXECUTED. Fuck off with this prosecuted shit. Dead cops can't be bastards again.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Let’s see……
Jot down the license plate number and go to that person’s house later? Fckthat shoot up the fucking parking lot and kill a child. ACAB. All of them.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even if the car was driving towards the cops, it’s easier to move to the side than to move to the side and also kill the driver (who they knew was a mother with her baby in the fucking car).

Aren’t they trained to not shoot at cars driving towards them? We saw this with the ice Gestapo murdering a woman in minnesota *who wasn’t even driving towards them*

State-sponsored murderers deserve worse than they’ll get, and we never have any fucking recourse.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

So what DID happen? I'm not supporting the police for shooting a baby, but what actually happened that led the officer to draw his firearm? Did the mother run away from them? Get in her car when he said to stop and drive off? I always want to hear a full story that is all true, not just half truths

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

1 month ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 1

omg. That is low. Can they not be trained to shoot out the tires? I wonder if the mother is still alive.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Tires are rubber. Bullets are small. Boing!

*In distance* "Ow, a bullet hit my leg!"

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It wouldn't pierce the rubber? Also, I didn't realize there were 2 adults with the baby.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I couldn't tell you if it could pierce the rubber, it's a lot of factors involved. But for pistol calibers, ricochets are a LOT likelier than rifle caliber.

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Huh, I feel like this would be something the Mythbusters would have tested. Shooting tires in movies is a pretty big thing

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Would not, unless you're within like 5 feet. I've tested with 9mm, what police usually use.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I tried finding any footage on this and failed. There was that NBC 2-second clip that showed nothing, while parroting what the cops said.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

If it were true they already would have released the security cam footage

1 month ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

officers shouldn't have stood in front of the car. get tags, send a summons to court. period.

1 month ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

That’s not how American policing works.

1) it must be directly confrontational

2) it must escalate the conflict

3) it must leave the situation objectively worse than before they arrived

1 month ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

this!

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep. At this point, you don’t even have to see the video to know that they were lying.

But we will see the video. And then we’ll know that they were lying. And nothing will happen.

1 month ago | Likes 110 Dislikes 0

I can already see the police reply "Technical errors, leading to the loss of the video footage."

1 month ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

and thats only a short term thing. "ai" video is improving and eventually they can just edit the footage to make it be in their favor.

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Thats the point where cops can no longer prove if they did or didnt do what they are accused off, since no one is going to belive them or the video evidence. All cops are just considdered to be guilty of everything no matter what happens.

1 month ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

except that isnt how the system works. You are innocent until proven guilty. if they cant prove guilt then you arent guilty. Just further case of how the system was never meant to work the same and needed to be updated as technology and social norms evolved.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I wee you've never been formally accused of a crime. You are treated as guilty until proven innocent.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Honestly imo, people supposed to uphold the law, if accused of breaking it, should be considered guilty until proven innocent due to the massive power imbalance that their position gives them. Also the responsibility to be truthful and uphold the law is infinitely more important for them than the average citizen. Instead of free passes they should be given extreme scrutinization.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

ideally yes however won't happen. What will happen is vigilante justice when the faith in the system fails and the citizens just start dealing justice themselves. If stuff doesn't change that is the the futures path.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want to make something happen, but I live in the UK and would get in more trouble just trying to enter the US... ugh. But those cops all deserve to get the same punishment they gave out.

1 month ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Make it happen where you live.

1 month ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can you link the video or article? Where was this?

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I said will show, because good footage hasn't been released yet. There is a bystander released video that shows the car trying to speed away from police but at no point in the video could I see an officer in the path. Walmarts especially in these areas have crazy amounts of building, and police supplied camera systems throughout the parking areas but all of that will be evidence and most likely not released for some time.

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBFKqkXtOoY around 45 seconds it starts. I'm sure they'll say she was reversing towards them at a high rate of speed, as they ran full speed towards the car backing out of the parking spot.

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yeah if there's one thing that can stop a speeding car its...a dead driver who can't apply the brakes...

1 month ago | Likes 186 Dislikes 1

Just saw the video of the car. He shot at the passenger side, not even the driver side.

So even if we assuming shooting the driver is a good idea (it's not) he still failed...

1 month ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 3

He was just trying to stop her from stealing more diapers, mission accomplished

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I wondered this. Is the windshield broken, are there bullet holes in a door. If there are holes in the car anywhere other than the windshield, the pig was never in danger and they should burn his house down with him in it

1 month ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

From what I saw on the news last night there is a bullet whole straight through the windshield directly aimed at the pass anger seat. It’s like they were aiming at it at a range. Like they thought it was a UK vehicle and that the driver was on the right hand side of the car. The passenger window was also shattered but I’m guessing that’s from the piggies smashing in the window to open the door of a wounded adult and dead baby.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We went through this whole thing too when that shitbag ICE agent murdered Renee Good. Literally all of their training says to move out of the way of the fucking vehicle because a dead driver doesn't make the vehicle stop. Shooting at the moving car was the wrong decision regardless.
