I don't have that many knives, I can't try this at home . . . I should buy more knives.

How far would those stick into like some pirates, zombies, or a ninja?

Got my wife a set of throwing knives as a stocking stuffer a few years ago, she was really good right away, taught our daughter to throw, then we had to have the talk that knives couldn’t be part of the school talent show

Looks silly but at least it hit the target

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It hit a wall. We can't see the grouping and penetration is minimal.

Auditioning for Kill Bill 3….youre hired.

I don't suppose she knows someone named Azula?

I've never wanted to be a piece of wood more in my life. /s

This is why they switched to plastic silverware in the work cafeteria.

He should've studied the blade instead of computer science. RIP Darren the IT Guy

What do you mean don’t try this at home? Seems like I get in a lot more trouble if I tried it anywhere else. Like a restaurant. Or the Zoo. On a train. Or the post office. Home seems smarter. Better yet, the garage.

This kills the plank?

Do not intimate!

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

where is she carrying all those knives?

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I am pretty sure skills like this inspired 1000 needles in the FF series and the multiple knives thrown skills in the Castlevania games.

Can I talk to the manager? Our waitress needs to calm the fuck down.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do unmute. No Music. Just blades and wood, as it should be. +1

I'd hate to be the poor sod who tries to rob her. "Gimme your mon..." *Repeated sounds of knives hitting flesh*

“When you throw at extremely hardwood”, will they penetrate?

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No unless there's already a defect or you hit just the perfect grain. Pros use softer wood like cottonwood. And spray it down with water so that it becomes more pliable. You don't wanna risk something ricocheting off harder woods

Death by Hibachi

Movie "Hunted" had me making my own throwing pieces for over a year. The Shuriken style seen above was briefly used in the movie, and is by far the hardest to achieve a proper "stick". Also less possibility for projectile bounce-back.

That could have gone very liveleak.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If I ever need to throw blades at random into a wall I will give you call.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Too right, that's the kind of thing you do over at your buddy's house when his wife is out.

3 weeks ago | Likes 193 Dislikes 0

Which wife? : work, home or both.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I did that once and bent a kitchen knife. Not the best wine for 1 decision while she was out of town

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Until you find out the wife is out getting her CIA assassin training doing this

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why's the wife gotta be out?

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Don't forget to use her good knives when you do this.

3 weeks ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

Can't very well use the old ones...no tips, they won't sink in.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and drink at least a 12 pack 1st! that she bought for her and her friends?

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

A twelve pack of wine?? Good luck

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My wife has a really great pair of scissors she uses for fabric, cuts like a dream through salami wrappers too.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And how exactly did she become a professional? She ignored advices like "don't try this at home", yes

3 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

"Ever since I was a school girl, I knew I wanted to terrify weak men."

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She became a professional by starting simple and slowly building the muscle memory and confidence to do more complex actions like repeatedly swinging her hands full of bladed weapons back and forth past her kidneys and liver. Just like the dudes doing backflips on top of skyscraper ledges started by attempting backflips in ground floor rooms full of safety padding. Or under professional guidance, where "professionals" were forged through luck and (sometimes fatal) trial and error amongst peers.

This. That's the most important part of any skill. If you start learning it by yourself? You'll learn wrong and will never be able to unlearn the muscle memory, or unlearn it with great difficulty. Teaching oneself can yield incredibly talented people. But that's an anomaly. Most people teach themselves wrong and then diminish the potential they could have had from a good teacher. Sauce: I'm high and trying to sound all wise. But also I teach people how to throw as a job, legit

There might be some dark story involved.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tell me they didn't come for her sensei who was also her parent! That's the worst one when they have to hide and watch it happen. Yields a great kung fu vengeance plot though

Made me think of this Mitch Hedberg joke "I saw a guy juggling chainsaws. It was cool, but unless something needs to be sawed down, then it’s just annoying. It’s like, “Come on, Rick, can we use ONE?” "

3 weeks ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I think Patton Oswalt also did a joke about a guy that spends all him time throwing axes and how useless it is

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not to downplay her talent, but his throws would actually down people instead of mildly irritating them.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The knives went into wood. Wood is harder than flesh. Those knives would sink deep into your flesh. Your flesh yearns for the knives.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OK, this guy gets to bring a knife to a gunfight!

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

omg not the hat!

3 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

It's cool, he just made a hanger for it.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Curious to know how many times he had to retake those shots until he got it right

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Probably fewer than I would need lol

3 weeks ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I'd only need one take. After that it's straight to the hospital to see if they can reattach my hand
