The car alarm sounding like a panicked emergency response alarm makes me laugh

#4 - I did this to a guy with a coffee cup on his roof! He gave me a free bag of drugs 🤷🏼‍♂️ I guess that's how he meets people. Was the first time I got free drugs like they advertised in schoo!!! But I'm 45 & was just a month ago

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

#4 This is the kind of harmless confusion I like to see spread.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

#6 aahh sweet karma. He broke the window, the car broke him.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

While I agree, he run from a mental hospital (not the first time). Article in Polish: https://wiadomosci.wp.pl/wybil-szyby-i-wpadl-pod-kola-samochodu-zaskakujace-informacje-ws-agresywnego-27-latka-6170643278587521a

Not from a mental hospital I'm afraid to say. The man was a vandal who'd broken the window previously. When the police were called he tried to flee. https://factcheck.afp.com/video-has-circulated-reports-about-vandal-who-smashed-shops-windows-poland

Still not sure what's going on there

1 year ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

They thought there were illegally parked cars behind the door.

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I think they spent all that time to cut down a metal door, just to find the doorway bricked up

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

They spent forever getting that door open only to find a brick wall behind it. The "don't park (in front of the entrance)" text was a decoy.

Okay that's hilarious :)

#10. A cat is mostly air and fur. That is a really good looking gate, though.

1 year ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

#10 ya, even if you completely filled the holes in that gate, the cat would just jump over it anyway.

1 year ago | Likes 598 Dislikes 0

Has this person never had a cat?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

lol yup

1 year ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

It's gotta be for dogs. If it was for cats, why would you have a cat door on it? Just leave the gate open.

1 year ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

I’m guessing it could be both for kids and pets?

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Yeah, could be for little kids, too.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It’s gotta be a joke right? Surely no cat owner could be that stupid

1 year ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 2

wait ... are you doubting the width of human stupidity?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nothing wrong with being one of today's lucky 10,000.

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Only inexperienced - if you haven't seen it in a video or live, you wouldn't believe what cats (and other furry animals as well) can go through

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I typically expect animals to at least be able to go through gaps that are bigger than they are, though.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

One could only hope…

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

I think the gate is for dogs or kids, they're just disappointed the kitty door is useless?

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

This comment makes me wonder if you’ve ever met… people?

At least two people died - #10 only on the inside tho.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's a Little Caesars. I remember making the sauce. Never dropped a can inside but definitely dropped a full tub before. The dough and cheese are actually pretty good but unfortunately the sauce is what makes it a budget pizza.

#1 Move away from the burning vehicle, dumbasses.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't know baseball. What happened here?

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Guy on base pretends to throw ball. Runner thinks he's safe and briefly steps off the base. He gets tagged with the ball, making him out.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I got the pretend to throw the ball part, but why. Thank you! Well played by the thrower :D

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The base runner is safe so long as he is touching the base, that flat square bag on the ground. If the base runner is not touching the base, he can be "tagged out," which means that any defensive player who is holding the ball can touch the base runner with the ball or with the mitt holding the ball, ending the base runner's play.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#6 personally, I love it when idiots think vandalism is worth their life.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

#10 I like how he leans down to open the beautifully crafted little door for the cat, and the cat goes "I'm good"

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

#10 for the most part if a can get it's head through then the rest will follow unless it's of chonky status or an absolute unit

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The meme with the can is #9

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Some people have no sense of humor. It's just a funny coincidence that #9 mentions a tin can, and in the comment on #10 the spell checker changed cat to a can. You probably have to add I DON'T MEAN THAT SERIOUSLY every time.

Al Capone's Vault. One of the first time I was genuinely angry at a T.V. show for failing to deliver it's promise.

And we only had like three channels, so of course the entire country was watching.

Pyroclastic flow. The gases can be hot enough to literally cook you alive. It's what covered Pompeii.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fortunately, the pyroclastic flow passed along the side of the ascent routes

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Another good rule of thumb is to not climb an active volcano that is showing all the signs of erupting very soon.

#8 I love it when the money and nonsense associated with a kid's game disappears momentarily and it once again becomes a game played the way kids used to play it.

1 year ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

It always comes across as insecurity when someone refers to sports as kids’ stuff. “Sorry adults, you’re not allowed to play sports any more, only children can enjoy throwing a ball around with the homies”

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

You are so far off base, you could be tagged out with a trick play. Me referring to it as a kids' game is because while it's competitive a lot of kids play because it's fun. At the major league level, it's a business. all business. it was fun to the player do something he probably hasn't done since he was a kid playing for fun.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

A lot of adults play for fun too. You’re coming across as condescending, whether it was your intent or not.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Sincere apologies if it comes across as condescending. But in my defense I wrote "At the major league level,..." (which is where this gif comes from).

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

is that the "did you catch that?" guy?

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kids i played with made up rules on the spot

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

rules made up on the spot -- like when I am trying to catch up to the new NFL rules of the season "what do you mean I have to take the ball back there, I cought it here" "NuUh, that was too close, you have to put it back here" : )

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ahhh good ol' Calvinball...

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I guess my baseball knowledge isn't what I thought it was; could you explain what's going on in that one?

1 year ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Toronto Blue Jays are in the field, and NY are running the bases. Blue Jay throws the ball to a baseman, who then PRETENDS to throw the ball to ... somewhere else. Presumably the pitcher. Runner then steps off the base, and the Baseman tags him with the ball as out. Runner then realizes he's been bamboozled.

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

'hidden ball trick' in baseball, the ball is *usually* live the baserunner thought the defender had thrown the ball back in to the pitcher and was caught off base.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

The player who caught the ball tricked the other player into thinking he had thrown the ball. When the player in gray temporarily stepped off the plate to adjust his stance, the player in blue tapped him with the glove holding the ball, thus causing an out. I believe it was just a prank and not an actual out.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It was an actual out. Poor Todd Frazier, lol.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

That's just shitty and bad sportsmanship. Dude was just switching his stance.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

It's baseball. This is not 'Nam, there are rules.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It was counted as an actual out, since the ball was still in play. Happened back in 2017 if I remember right.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Then that's some bullshit, but it's what I would expect from a Blue Jays player.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Good Morning! Missed my Wazert break yesterday.

It's almost always back window, but sometimes...

I am always happy to see one of these types of cars get destroyed.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Some super genius I know, wrapped it tightly around the back bumper. Really revved it up, and launched forward. Ripped the bumper off, the mounts the bolts made slots in the frame... he asked me to drive it, and I said... no, you have to do the "drive of shame."

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

And once while I was watching a backhoe try to pull a crane-truck out of deep snow, it was the 1" cable that snapped and whipped past our group of onlookers, 3' from decapitating 8 people. It did snap like a whip, only much much louder.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah that's scary shit.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like it may have gotten the front window as well, stump sailed over the top of the vehicle.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Less often the bumper, even less often half the car or the whole engine bay.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Got heeem!

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Either way, the stump wins

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea I feel like had they not gunned it, the axle was doomed because clearly they weren’t going to give up

1 year ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Didn't even bother to dig just a little bit to get it loose

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's possible they fucked it up a bit regardless

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

OOC, what's the safe way to do this if all you have is a truck and tow straps/chains? I'm picturing some kind of stopper made by putting two posts halfway bw the stump and car to stop the stump

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Wrap the chain around a large wheel. At least for smaller things like fence posts.

For this -- nothing. Skim cut it with a chainsaw, then slice groves into the remaining stump. Wait 6 months, and then mulch with an 8 pound sledgehammer

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So long as it ain't a damn cedar, anyway. God herself couldn't get this stump out of my yard, it's been 3 years and the only 'mulch' happening is the dirt that gets caught in it.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Fair point. Ceder you have to just grind.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah every couple months we get mad at it and decide we need a new chain so we take the saw to it and round it out some more, cut some new grooves, and basically just keep prodding it down towards the ground. Someday, it will be gone.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No, and it only popped the top of the stump off, didn't deroot, so might as well have just chopped it up

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Rent or hire someone with a stump grinder. That's the best and safest way

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

For off-road applications there are weighted bags and such to hang in the middle of the strap/chain to stop the snap back, but for a stump... Might help, but maybe but that much...

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Using a shovel. It may take a while, but the worst thing you are going to do is tire yourself out.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Cut it off flat, then use it as a plinth for a garden ornament for a few years, then it should be soft enough to get it with a heavy mallet

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There isn't one. If you're pulling on a stationary object and it moves, that force *will* go somewhere. If it doesn't move, that force will *also* go somewhere. The safe way to do this is to get a machine capable of withstanding those forces. If for some reason that isn't an option, leave the stump the hell alone.

1 year ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

For sure that's what I'm proposing with the stakes. Probably didn't do a great job explaining but if the line passes between the two stakes, once it popped out it would hit the stakes, arresting the motion. They'd have to be super tall though I guess and add others have pointed out, they didn't actually get the roots with these shenanigans

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

What if they tied the log to an anchor with a decent amount of slack, maybe that rope can be stretchy as well?

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Auger bit to drill a big hole out of the center. Apply small amount of accelerant and burn responsibly. It'll burn for days potentially but it'll burn.
