Hey, you have to admit one thing. It IS entertaining to watch. I'm looking forward to the part when he realizes that the tariffs aren't going to do what he hoped they would, and the alt-right types try to justify his reversal by claiming "it was never about making them pay our debts! It was about sending a message and letting them know we're in charge! And we accomplished that!" :P

Missed out the whole "Blame Obama/Biden" part. :-)

After Mexico tricked Trump into lifting the tariffs the WSJ had a great quote where they essentially said the key to negotiating with Trump is to realize he has no clue what’s going on at any given moment.

All he needed was an excuse so that all the money his fund sunk into crypto when the market dove on tariff news would recover and make him millions.

Ha yes I had heard that the key to negotiating with trump is to remember he has no idea what’s going on.

You forgot the part that comes after 'Something really bad happens' where he blames it on Obama/Biden

This is very untrue. When does he actually fix his stupid decisions?

Q: How many MAGAs does it take to change a light bulb?
A: None. They don't change it, Trump tells them it's working great again, and then they all sit in the dark and cheer.

You need to add : People taunt him for being an idiot. Can we stop trying to get him to fuck up the world.

Three and four should be swapped. Otherwise it is perfect Trumpism.

Has he reversed something recently I missed?

I know Hanlon's razer is to never apply malice to incompetence, but, he's not incompetent, he's a grifter - the stupid is to down stock or signal to someone he wants payment, he steps back when stocks are bought low or payment is received, never believe anything he does doesn't have a grift attached...

No, he's a moron. This is the guy who, when he left office the first time, stole a bunch of paperwork in the hopes of selling it. When all he had to do was look at Obama and Bush and see how other presidents make their money after leaving office. Just offer to show up at banquets and give speeches in exchange for large cash donations. (and then stick around long enough to let them whisper in your ear for a favor, since you're an ex-president and have plenty of political influence)

“The Art of the Deal” is his framework

Integrative bargaining strategy, mutually beneficial solution, "win-win" VS strategic bargaining strategy, best possible outcome for one's own side, "win-lose".
Guess which style is trump's?

"Biden did it."

It was intentional because a bunch of rich people got to bounce some stocks.

Yeah, but the problem is the Trumpers are making serious coin with each of these. He calls for a tariff, the market drops, you buy a shit-ton of stocks when the price is low, the tariff is called off, the market rises... Profit!

You forgot “take credit for improvement from reversal”

You misspelled "Use insider trading to profit from easily foreseeable effects of policies."

Thats the optics problem. Trimp averted a crisis he created. Oh glorious leader! Thank you for saving us!!! /s

No no, these are all stock market schemes. Basically anyone in the inner circle gets a heads up about what to expect, and they dump their stocks before the market drops. They buy back when the market tanks and ride the profit on the rebound. We should technically all be doing the same thing to a lesser degree because fuck those douches.

us poors tried that with the Gamestop debacle and we saw what happened there

Part of it is also knowing when to tap out. Don't listen to the influencers telling you to hold.

We made out well as long as we didn't hang on and get greedy. It was always a short term strategy. Buying up shares didn't suddenly make GameStop profitable, it just put a crunch on the fund managers.

I'm not saying he's abusing his position for the purposes of market manipulation but

I'd probably switch out the "I convince" and "I reverse" parts to make the flow better.

I thought so, but I do think his dumbass followers think the problems get solved by his stupid decision. They don't even wait for things to actually improve before declaring that he fixed things
