Nonsense. Just fill a bowl with enough water to put them under, add a tiny drop of chlorine and leave 'm in for 20 secs. Kills germs, bacteria and stuff. Rinse 'em & eat. With whipped cream of course.
Clean the whole batch at once. Store leftovers in a mason jar with a small piece of paper towel. Stroobs keep MUCH longer in the fridge when cleaned and in airtight containers.
And to think that I never even used to bother washing my produce at all. Until I met my wife and she changed my ways for the better, that is. I think back to the no-wash days and SMH.
They keep better if you don't wash them until you are ready to eat them. This gadget is not necessary, but I would not wash all of them at once. Keep them dry until needed.
