Thats actually not so weird, my instructor told me once to do that (not violently or destructive) but to condition your knuckles, he said try out all materials, get the feeling of it, gauge the impact, like wood is prob the best tool for this. And its true, my knuckles are better equipped now. So you do you whnever, wherever possible, its rehearsing, nothing wrong with it.
Lol! I did krav maga when I was younger and I still utilise my elbow techniques in crowds or people pushing into me in queues. I would also still have good grappling skills if needed. Some things become part of you.
Big problem with phones getting thin and light, there are a bunch of KM moves using a late 90s mobile as a weapon because of the big, heavy battery on the back that are essentially redundant now. Wide, flat phones are not secure in the hand either.
Same shit, 12 years of Tai chi. Not just the real slow meditative crap, I mean actual martial arts tournaments, fights, when I was younger. His little half moon steps across the floor felt insanely familiar lol
I have that with karate. I haven't taken it since I was 9 but throwing punches/kicks the right way, keeping your guard up, blocking... some of that just gets ingrained at a young age and never leaves.
I did vaulting as a kid and young adult when it was only allowed until you got 18yrs old. 30yrs later stressed on a lended bike with the best gripping brakes ever ..I swear I would've been hurt badly without vaulting. I just flew over the bike & landed on my feed and if someone would've screamed "smile" in mid air I would have done that, too.
Unfortunately no. I found the video on another site and stole it for one of the humor posts I try to do every few weeks, but I never got the original source.

Their technique. I wish to admire their technique. In a totally non-thirsty sort of a way. Unless they're into that.

This is almost every martial artist. Even the Tae Kwon Do kids do this. Goju Ryu has similar foot work to what's featured in the video.
