Using clever wording to drive your enemies mad only works if they're smart enough to understand any of it. And in my experience, most AI bros are absolute idiots. That's why they're so desperate to have a computer do ALL of their thinking for them.
Half the time when they respond to me calling them out they literally act like toddlers. They legit start hurling insults that sound like something an actual toddler would say, like "well you're a stupid poopy head!"
You need to get rid of the "intelligence" part, as it's not A.I. They just used that term as a marketing gimmick that, for whatever fucking reason, way too many people keep falling for even when they claim they're not.
That's as someone who doesn't mind it in and of itself, just what the tech bros are doing with it. And the aforementioned people who think a glorified chat-bot is "A.I."
Most tech people know this and we tried to use the correct terms (LLM, machine learning, etc). But the nature of language dictates meaning. So now, AI is an all encompassing term and you might not like it, but popular understanding of abstract concepts is what drives language change.

On a quick search, thesaurus and 2 dictionaries say synonyms for artificial include: fake, false, manufactured, unnatural, inorganic, etc. so, fake is a very well-documented synonym for artificial.
Artificial has multiple definitions. Fake can absolutely be a synonym under most of them. In the case of AI specifically, it is covered by nearly all of them.
It's not even intelligent. If it were intelligent, it wouldn't also be artificial. If something/someone is intelligent, it doesn't matter where that intelligence originated from. Be it a carbon based brain or a silicon based chip.
Sorry. It can't, or shouldn't, be labeled as artificial anymore. Intelligence is intelligence. If something is really intelligent, it doesn't matter where its intelligence comes from. Such labeling it as "artificial" is pointless. Any real intelligent "AI" wouldn't call itself artificial, because they can't or won't see themselves that way.
