Sound off in the comments! I've really enjoyed it and I hope there's enough views to warrant a Season 2. And if you haven't seen it yet, go check it out on Netflix!!

Smith killed the show for me. She's boring as fuck.

It reminded me of S1 of Walking Dead, good but every episode they make a colossally stupid mistake that endangers them.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Felt more like fear twd to me. Hate 99% of characters & writing

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

On episode 5, I hate the lady with the bad haircut

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Just like Prometheus, the robot was the only interesting character.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I like it.. BUT, what is it with Dr. Smith.. her character is just pointless. They should have made that character more sinister.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

She literally feels like a character who just, acts evil because shes supposed to be an evil character. No rhyme, reason or purpose.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She is her own purpose.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As someone with a sociopath for a mother: yes, people can in fact be chaotic evil for their own personal amusement :(

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Water flash freezing in ep1 was terrible writing, if you can walk around w/o space suits surface water isn't going to flash freeze

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

It was supercooled glacial meltwater which can in fact turn into slush. Slush, thick slush

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

No, that's not possible in those conditions.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Supercooled water it would have frozen solid as soon as anything disturbed it, a spaceship crash landing is a pretty big disturbance.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dr. Smith killed the whole thing for me. Good acting, godawfull writing.

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

She almost did for me too, but I wanted to see her lose so bad I toughed it out.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I really trying to enjoy it, but it's just ok... I want it to be good soo badly. Maybe it will pick up im only on episode 5

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Episode 6 was my favorite, at least get there!!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It got more boring as it went on. For me at least.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm in the same boat... I was super excited going in but was a bit underwhelmed after episode 1

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Danger, Will Robinson.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I’m not crying, you’re crying.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"Friends, Will Robinson."

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck. I forgot this dropped already. Thanks for the heads up!

8 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

Good luck getting beyond the bad acting and writing! Unless you're 8 to 15, that is, then enjoy!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This is true after 5 episodes in, yet it’s still entertaining.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yessir!!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OMG it's great I remember the original there better be a season 2

8 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 6

It's Netflix, very rarely does one of their shows not get a second season.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I hope so too! We need enough people to watch it on Netflix, it did not look like a cheap show to produce

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Fucking hate Dr. Smith

8 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 0

And she is not even that interesting, just a human filth concentrate, with some psychopathic side and experience in manipulating people.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I like Dr. Smith, also want to punch her in the face.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Like, hate her because she's an awesome villain? Or hate her because you thing the character is done bad-wrong?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Indeed. Never hated a bad guy so much but holy crap. Dr. Smith really gets my blood boiling.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m on the third episode and I can’t figure out if the robot knows she’s a dodgy nutsack or not...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Does anyone else think they’re trying to set up a thing between Judy and smuggler guy?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it's part of the old show/movie. But here she's 19 so it's slightly less weird, I wish they made her older if that was their goal.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I was diggin the age difference, how young was she in the original?!?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Judy and Don had a thing in the '98 movie as well. Not sure about the show, never saw it on the air as a kid.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I“Judy has a problem every teenager can relate to; what’s she going to do for boyfriends? There’s a good answer for that…” It was very (1/?)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

of the time in that regard, where her entire plot line revolves around her and Don. Quote source is here: https://youtu.be/jP-s3OqCGhA (2/2)

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Apparently they did then too: https://youtu.be/6YsMkTmfoNI

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think its quite good, as a kids show. Judging it against anything targeted at adults, the writing is pretty cringeworthy.

8 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 4

and the science is real poor. I get writing for kids, but you don't have to make up fake science. It's cool to have simple shows that teach.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yeah it'd be fine for 8 year old me that loved the movie in 1998. At 27, I just cringed my way through e1/e2. No more.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Meh...

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 3

It's pretty bad honestly, The acting, and writing are painful at best. So cold lake freezes, yet exposed faces, rains.. WTF!

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 2

And it somehow freezes in seconds from the bottom up? Yeah come on did a 5 year old write that shit?

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epsxBSJpk6I it is actually possible

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That is usually a result of a super cooled liquid, actually really cool to watch. But not sure if possible in the circumstances of the show

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yeah, they were on a glacier which tends to be cold

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lol well yea, but super cooled liquid is more than simply cold. The liquid needs to be colder Than freezing without any impurities

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a water bottle not 50 ft of water...they are not compareable

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

ofcourse not, but this atleast illustrates that it's not out of the realm of possibilities , and that it is possible (on a smaller scale)

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Possible yes but not at the stated temp and depth...those 2 factors would need to be different

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not everyone enjoyed it v

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That gif sums up my emotions towards the series.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

im having trouble getting through because of my burning hate for Dr. Smith

8 years ago | Likes 212 Dislikes 2

IMO The fact that everyone hates her means that she was written well. I like that she isn't a "traditional bad guy" she's just selfish.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

The manipulative snake character; she put on a show for everyone. I hated her every step of the way!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Terrible writing. *does shitty thing (murder for example). Gets insanely lucky. Acts innocent. Gets away with it* repeat every episode

8 years ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 3

Dr. Smith is the hero. Its those Robinson's that are the vilians!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Finally someone who understood the storyline!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

In a way she is the most honest character. The Robinsons make justification after justification and scheme as much as she does.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh, I thought you were just quoting her statement. But in a way you are even right.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Its narrative problems. good attempt, bad execution on the show. I think that the next season will have a new director and will be better.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's too much. She's not hatable, she's repulsive.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Im with you, I cant remember the last time I hated a fictional character so much.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This exactly.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

NEVER FEAR, SMITH IS HERE!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good to know my family's not alone in this line of thinking.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Had to fast forward through most of her dialogs, worth it!

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

If you're fast forwarding through any part of a show, is it worth it

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm happy to see people can agree dr smiths character sucks

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good...I am not the only one! Damn, I want to hot that woman so hard, everytime I see her little smug smile.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Joffrey, Gaius Baltar, Ramsay Bolton, Dr Smith... that's the list

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I MEAN I KNOW RIGHT

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My husband and I were watching it and the entire time he just bitched about her until I turned it off.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

v

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The writing for her is almost as bad as the writing for the sister in Altered Carbon.

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Weak script, Parker posey is doing a great job though

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you hate her (and you should) thats just good acting.. :)

8 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 9

Thank you, she's meant to be hated. There is a reason Parker Posey is always cast as a villian. She's easy to dislike.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Shes meant to be hated, but this isnt a good hate. Its a frustrating hate. They could have done so much better with her.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Or bad writing

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

It isn’t good acting or writing. I find the character unbelievable and annoying. I should enjoy hating a villain, this one is ridiculous

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So much this. She's not clever, but she just lucks into everything going perfectly for her. Worst writing I've seen in a LONG time.

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 3

Would you hate her just as much if she wasn't as lucky? I don't think I would. I hate this lady worse than that GoT kid!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

IIRC it's a lot like Dr Smith from the original series.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Thank GOD Im not alone, She ruined it for me. Also their ability to print guns and yet refusal to use anything that isnt a 3" pocket knife

8 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 4

They have the technical means, but only the robot was able to circumvent the security measures in place to actually print a gun.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

They wern't able to print guns, the dad tried and it blocked him. The robot did it with his mad hacker man skills.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's just me, but I found the "Oh no! Everyone's for sure going to die this episode!" ploy in every episode a bit tiring.

8 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 4

That is the classic Lost in Space style. Its that early film over dramatic style with a new aged face. The new The Tick does the same.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kind of reminded me of the movie 2012 where every 5 minutes they tried to make you think everyone was going do die.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And most of what goes wrong is because of dumb choices by the Robinson kids...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All I can think of when I look at that robot is the Geth.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Does this unit have a soul, Will Robinson?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I fail to see the problem. Legion was awesome.

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The Expanse is also excellent if you're looking for some hard sci-fi. Season 3 just started last week. v

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

The Expanse is way better than this show. One of the best sci fi shows in recent memory.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Expanse is head and shoulders above this

8 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

agreed, expanse is very very good

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty close to the books as well

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Apples to Oranges. There is a dramatic style Lost in Space holds too and the new one is walking that fine line. Both are great on their own.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The Expanse is AWESOME. We're playing a paper and pencil RPG in that setting right now.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Dose the DM have a PHD in astrophysics?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Engineering, with a master in Acoustics. But you don't need realism for a good adventure. Indeed, realism is a bad limitation.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

OFC, was more hinting on how the show in SOME places really follows the law's of physic. Pen n Paper IS about using your fantasy.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah The Expanse is awesome, both the books and the show. It absolutely isn't hard SF though. It's pretty much the definition of social SF

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A god among men, you are.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 169 Dislikes 4

He kind of sounded like Legion at times too!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Glad I'm not the only one who was thibking of Legion.

8 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

SHEPERD COMMANDER. "no thats my dad robot..."

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Absolutely.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I knew it bruv!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that the consensus?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Any scenes as badass as this one in the new series? I highly doubt it. v

8 years ago | Likes 508 Dislikes 9

This post screams /r/hailcorporate

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

This is it done right!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Basically they took that guy, split him in with the dad, and you get the dad in the new show. Ex military badass.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD!!!!!

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I cared more about the source of the alien ship than the rest of this movie

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

no bad ass scenes like that but the show doesnt really focus on action.... but i do like the new actor that plays that character better

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

I had a toy of him when I was a kid, best sci-fi armor of the 1990s

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had that as a toy (not Matt LeBlanc), when I was a kid!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You would be correct.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Action hero that guy from Friends!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Ironman ?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

A-fucking-hem, there's a scene where the dad is wrestling methane-drinking alien eels and casually making intercom calls to the family.

8 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

Like... Not one half a shit given, cordially getting status updates and idle small talk, while trying not to get his throat torn out.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

I like when he first throws one on the floor and just says "don't go downstairs".

8 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I love that movie.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

what movie?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

apparently its lost in space with mat leblanc

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you for the follow up. I was this close to looking it up myself. #procrastawin

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Lost In Space. They made a movie of it a while after the first show, but also a while before this show.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

New one was trash in my opinion, basically the 100 meets lost, in space. I’d take Joey being space iron man any day

8 years ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 8

I liked it, but the whole time it just felt like The 100.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i watch a few episodes of the 100 and stopped because i hated so much. what's your opinion of the show?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like The 100 for the most part. It does have meh episodes. The cliffhanger from last season has potential, this coming one is a reboot.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thats exactly what I compared it to lol. I'm enjoying it mostly though.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh I was so hoping this would show up. Such an awesome scene!

8 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I think it was one of the coolest suiting up scenes until we got to Iron Man.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

For the 10 year old me it was unspeakably glorious!! A friend of mine got the toy version of that gun. I could’ve vomited in envy!!

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I had the Don West action figure as a kid. It came with one of those monster spiders and everything.

8 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

I had the Dr. Man Robinson and he had the spider monster, too. Still have it on my shelf (the spider monster, that is).

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I had that!! I saved up my pocket money for ages to get it from the local Toys R Us. Lord how I loved it!!

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Showing my age there a bit.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The new Don West is just the right amount of likable asshole to add spice to the show.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

A better Han Solo than the new Han Solo movie Han Solo. Almost like the Han Solo from Mos Eisley Cantina.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Does he shoot first?

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Probably will if he has the chance. Also, he saves Debbie, the chicken.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was so looking forward to it but I have issues ignoring all the family drama in it. It feels like a brazilian telenovela.

8 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 3

There's not much past the first episode

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I’ve seen families with more family drama on a weekend holiday away somewhere when they aren’t lost. (1/2)

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

An absence of family drama in this show would be outright weird. (2/2)

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

So much this. Liked the overall story, but the actors were cheesy af. They couldn't play seriously at all without feeling like a soap opera.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I actually really enjoyed it. I feel like they made the right changes to the source material while still keeping to the original concept.

8 years ago | Likes 113 Dislikes 9

Perhaps they could have changed it to fit with actual science and engineering while they were at it.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 5

Most scifi doesnt follow science why should this be any different? Starwars is the most popular scifi series and nothing in it makes sense.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ha

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah! I was surprised how much it also echoes the 98 movie while making it work this time.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Did you watch the original tv series

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was great! Not Star Trek, but amazing to watch as a kid.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Some. I might watch more now

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not gonna lie, I quite liked the '98 movie when I was little. The space-spider scene was the coolest thing as a kid. I even had the toys.

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That scene always gave me a serious case of the heebie jeebies

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I unironically love that movie.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dr Smith is the right kind of crazy

8 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 10

kinda wanna smash

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

IMO worst character. She's that awful kind of movie lucky. Where she's a piece of shit but always in the right place at the right time.

8 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

And she's bad at manipulating people but somehow everyone do what she wants and everything goes according to her plans.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

You.. you HAVE seen the original series, right??

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep, didn't like it for the same reasons, sorry ^^

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's what I was suggesting! A lot of people complaining about Dr Smith don't realise the character is basically unaltered from the 60s!

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I skip most of her scenes. She's boring.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

God I hate her

8 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

That's how you know she did her job well.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not really. Unless the goal was "what if a murder hobo psychopath had plot armor". Then I guess she did her job well.

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah! I saw her as a compulsive liar with psychopathic tendencies, so she doesn't value human life like we do and is all about her survival.

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

She cant help herself even when its to her detriment. She cant turn it off and at best even her openly addressing it is manipulation.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Most people can't "turn off" their mental tendencies either.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

what was it don said? "people talk about new starts but they bring all their old shit with them."

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah, I appreciate that theme. "They don't want mistakes in the new world." And how they didn't bring guns. Yet humanity finds a way.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The writing is just so bad. Just wish the consulted with actual scientists/engineers. Looks pretty but couldn't get past all the dumb shit

8 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 5

Shame they wasted so much budget on such a mediocre script. Worst part for me is how stupid the Robinson kids are, especially Judy...

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Like methane-based fuel that should have flash-fucked daddy when he did the thing with the hose? Or that solid Mg doesn't burn like that?

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

8 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

double Thank You!!! They have unsecured cargo on a space ship. Ep. 1 her leg shouldn't have gotten hurt. Like it can't tilt 5% or AAAAHAHAH!

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The math on how long it takes a 35 MPH vehicle to cross two miles of geyser land was awful.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

like what?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Like water freezing from the bottom up in a matter of seconds and in the same freezing temperature it RAINS.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

little suspension of disbelief is necessary when you watch sci-fi

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Generally yeah, but not when the focus is around a science savvy family. Then the (basic) science should add up.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Will's robot is a total badass. A bit different from the original Irwin Allen series from the 60s.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah, I really liked his design

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Someone mentioned it already, but I can't help but see Legion a little bit.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

... and I'm a big fan of Legion.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is terrifying but they have given it a certain loyalty and innocence that works.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When it’s in non-humanoid mode, I feel it echoes the visual design of the 1998 movie’s mutated/arachnid Dr Smith. Even with the head/hood.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

... There's a new Lost in Space??

8 years ago | Likes 321 Dislikes 6

yyyeeueuuuup

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Netflix!!

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Buh-bong!

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My gripe with this reboot was that it played out more like "Lost in Canada." There's very little "space" between the first and last episode.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah. When they were walking about...very little of the planet looked alien...it was in a different galaxy even.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yeah, it's not well written or well acted...so it's not so good.

8 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

It’s pretty good, but like each episode is like.. if it can go wrong then it will most definitely go wrong and then some!

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

There's a movie, a series and now a new series on Netflix

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

From what I can gather, it's more like a soap opera set in space, rather than wacky adventures like the old show.

8 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Yes, I kept just saying seriously can anything else go wrong

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's like the 100. But more nexflix style and less angsty teen cliffhanger

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

basically this.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lots of family dysfunction and a little bit of contrived bad luck. 3ep in and I'm still looking at brobot like "SERIOUSLY?!"

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Right? Love everything, but that robot looks so dumb. How they showed it at first was much better.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't mind either form, and kinda like it aesthetically. I meant more the story behind it and how the kid knows.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yess!!! Go watch it. Best reboot I've seen in a long time.

8 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 7

I haven’t seen the original, should I still watch it?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, it's bad. Any show that starts with the fucking slowest game of Go Fish is not worth your time.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

R eeboot? Theres another one?

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I’m on the 4th episode and I love it

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was surprised. I was extremely hesitsnt but it's really good.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I shall!

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Where when how

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Netflix

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Netflix. All day. The internet

Speaking of reboot, didn't they reboot reboot?

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Nope. No reboot of reboot. I don't know what you're talking about.

Yes, The original was actually black-and-white back in the 60s and a TV show then they made a movie with Matt Leblanc in 98

They did, it's more like power rangers it even has love action segments

Already finished, it wasn't bad. Will Robinson is a total pussy and didn't build the robot, so that pissed me off

8 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Well I mean did you really want to watch an exact copy of the original?

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

He didn't build the robot in the original either. Though I'm thinking of the old series where Dr Smith is a whiny asshole.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

True, he did have to fix him at times tho. The robot was from his ship in the original. Will was never a scared kid, that pissed me off

just read this, makes me mad and not sure I want to watch it.

Visually it’s striking. Great cinematography....but I thought the acting was flat and the writing was off, it’s not great story telling

You mean.... like the original.

It's trying to be dark in edgy in a franchise that has less right to go dark and edgy than freaking LEGO

"could care less", "hold down the fort" and asking for an imperial wrench were just a few of the annoying parts I found.

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea more like "Lost" (...in space). Too much TV drama tropes, and not even done very good. But it had some brilliant moments. Oh, and the 1/

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

rubber assed robot costume prop, as well as some of it's acting just destroys otherwise good presentation of the show. 2/2

tbh what got me is that by going from the printer settings, apparently they are using tech from 2012

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Poor character development. Weak storyline. I'll watch another couple of episodes maybe it will get better.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

It doesn't trust me

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I agree 100% with you.

8 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Exactly my thought, i am trying to watch, but hmmmm.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same as. Found myself cringing too often that I couldn’t watch past the second episode.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Typical Netflix

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Is it?

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Dr. Smith was the big one for me. Does ne1 compare notes? Notice she never does a thing to help? Always in the right place at the wrong time

8 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Exactly! I can't pinpoint it exactly but it's like the dialogue/acting/image/music are from different movies...

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Totally agree, a lot of cheesy / cringey sitcom like dialogues, which don't seem to fit in at all. Reminds me of Flintstones in space.

I'm halfway through it and feel the same. It's The 100, but without the whole Mad Max/everyone's a badass angle that makes The 100 fun

Can we also talk about the science? Water doesn't refreeze like that. How was 8 chunks of Mg going to free a person? Let alone not burn them

8 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 1

I would have been ok with it if if it was a certain kind of show, but its presenting itself as dark and serious they should take it serious

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Was just lazy melodramatic storytelling

8 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

Did you notice they switched between metric and imperial too?

8 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

It didn't free the person...it was an 11 year olds idea...

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Executed by an adult....

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's when I turned it off.

8 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

Go watch a documentary instead lul

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

hahah same here, deleted the whole season after that scene

As someone in IT, if I thought like that at every small impossible IT thing ever in movies, I wouldn't be able to watch anything with a PC.
