Fun fact: Punching a Nazi isn't violence so much as it's self-defense. When a person broadcasts they are, indeed, a Nazi, they are telling the world they are 100% ok with things like torture & murder... up to & including literal genocide. Furthermore, by admitting they are a Nazi, they also admit that, given the chance, they'd be the one doing the actual atrocities. We need to make it easy for folks to escape being a Nazi but, while they're in, they are an active danger.

Nazism contains the core beliefs that some people are not worthy of basic human rights.
Therefore, a Nazi cannot exist without at all times premeditating violence.
If someone is at all times planning to kill you, then you are at all times allowed to meet their violence with your own as society is not actively protecting you.

Imgur has always been quite inconsistent when it comes to moderation, although it does seem to be running alright currently.

Because the user bases have started to call out the bullshit more often and stands together against it when it goes too far. They moderate for the ad revenue to not be threatened. But if the majority of their users revolt because of it. Well that's a bigger risk to them. Got to have users if you want to sell ads to them.
