The Tesla 3 that I drive has the typical cabin heat and defroster for the front (heated air) and rear (resistance wires) windshields. It has remote start like any other car so equipped. An EV does not heat up the car much faster than a car with a warmed gas engine. No car, EV or gas, is going to generate enough heat inside to melt that much snow off of the windows in a short amount of time. Brushing off snow and scraping the window ice is still required on an EV.
If they are this unfamiliar with cleaning a car off after a snowstorm, I am terrified by the idea of how they will drive on snow covered roads. Go back inside, my friends.

Teslas have a really effective defrost. We park outside and got ice and snow two days ago. My Odyssey took ten minutes of idling with the heat on and scraping to clear. My wife's tesla y required her to spend 5 seconds pushing the floating piece of ice off the windshield before she went to work.
It'll still make the glass warm and greatly speeds up defrosting. You could pretty much just brush the snow off after leaving it for a few mins. I've got it on my Nissan Leaf and it does defrost the car in light snow, at least.
Not a subscr. , comes standard with all models. I've been driving T's since 2014 in Montana and this is a Great feature. - Instant On Heat, no Idleng required. Works flawlessly every time. (Car does need a cell signal, though)

Tourists would absolutely have access to hot water. From a coffee pot or an electric kettle that's in their hotel room, or they just turn on the hot tap on the sink.

Teslas defrost is good. Works fine here in Scandinavia. Better than diesel/petrol. A Webasto might be better but not many cars have them.
