I have several silly things, here are two:
1) Do you know how to operate a thermostat? I've seen too many say "I'm cold" and twist the knob clockwise to 120°. Or to 50° when they're hot. I can't stand people who can't operate simple technology.
2) Met a lady who always carried a big purse with brass feet on the bottom. Several times she plopped it on the hood of my car and scrubbed it around while she searched for something. Stopped dating her after the 2nd time.

The worst part was that he was tag teaming with another guy who wanted to woo me and then hurt and humiliate me in public because I told him off in the Novice Network in FFXIV (yes, that's on me for playing the game and trying to be helpful). The guy who tried to hurt me ended up hurting a friend of mine VERY badly, and I asked him to apologize. His apology was a non-apology and blocked me. Oh well, good fucking riddance.

I had a GF that reacted unreasonably to most things I did even slightly wrong. I think it was emotional manipulation, I think she was really insecure and tried to make everyting in her favor. I did sometimes lie about unimportant stuff to not set her off.

To a partner... not in a LOOONG time. There can be a little wiggle room on what a "lie" is (eg changing little facts in a funny story so it tells better). But no... if I felt the need to lie to a partner, that means I don't feel safe, or I am doing something I shouldn't. Both are signs that something should change.

Charging your phone to 100% too much isn't good for the battery.

It's two part.
1. Phones are powered by both battery and the plug in charger, and once you hit 100% the phone only pull power from the charger. As soon as you unplug a charger the battery will be used. You can not overcharge a phone battery because of protective circuits.
2. It's unhealthy for the long term lifespan of a battery to constantly charge and drain fully. Operating at 20-80% is the sweet spot.

Wrong. Charging 0-80% is .3 wear cycles, charging from 80-100% is another .3 wear cycles. Never charge past 80%.

Every 1% above 80% is 4x the wear on the battery of each 1% below 80%. I'm an EV engineer. We design the charging system to only charge to 80 for this very reason, only if you tell it you want to charge to 100% for extra range for a long distance drive will the vehicle charge past 80%. It is literally the optimal charge percentage for LiPO chemistry batteries.

It is inherent in the chemistry of LiPO batterys and is never going to change unless battery chemistry changes. LiFePO4 don't suffer that kind of battery wear but they are 80% as energy dense as LiPO. Solid state batteries are the future.

They did figure out a fix, it's turning on battery protection on your phone to stop it from overcharging.

Manufacturers now use batteries that can handle a bit of overcharge, and let them to charge to 4.3-4.4V. When the phone is new, you have extra capacity and are impressed. But charging to 100% everyday causes premature battery wear. In 2-3 yrs you'll notice the phone doesn't last as long.
If you have a brand new phone and want to keep it for awhile, only daily charge it to 80% (there should be a setting). Charge to 100% only for traveling/trips.

It's not a bug or something, it's the basic laws of physics. If you don't drain your battery or overcharge it, then the battery will have a longer lifespan.

My experience is that most people disable these features if they are optional. If it's mandatory, many won't buy it because the advertised max charge is lower than other brands. While there's something to what you're saying, I think there's still room for education.

In fact, the batteries are safer than ever and are designed to be overcharged. Manufacturers do it on purpose so the battery works great when its brand new, but wears away quickly so you buy a new phone.
All lithium NMC chemistry (the kind in phones and electronics) last MANY more cycles if limited to 80% max charge for most of their life.
