I'm British and was in school in the 90s and 2000s. Uniforms are pretty accurate. Just want to rant that it took my school until 2002 to allow the girls to wear trousers as part of the uniform. The teachers that objected the loudest all ended up being convicted pedos years later.

That was a huge mistake for many girls at my school in the 90s. We used to get our skirts checked by staff on the way to assembly and told to roll them down. Jokes on you, teach, I can't roll mine down... They would then check this too. Nope I can't roll it down, see! Yeah, so I had mine professionally taken up... I got away with this trick the whole four years there.
I think the funniest part is remembering the girls would wear shorts under their skirts anyway, because of a spiral staircase anyone could look up and easily catch an eyeful. Then there was me, new to this nonsense, getting away with just wearing the boy's uniform instead.
