TBF the Trump administration had in 2025 a Deficit of $1,73T compared to the $1.8T in 2024 under Biden, thanks to lot of Cutts. In 2026 they already are over the $1.8T Deficit. Which increases inflation as well. In 2027 the Tax Cutts of the Bonkers Billionairs Bill will kick in and it will hit around $4T, thats why he wants absolut control over the House.

Well if we did that, then we'd have to enforce rules like "politicians who dance around questions without answering them honestly, will immediately get flogged". Obama inherited the great recession caused by Bush's policies and deregulation. Which forced an increase in the deficit to save millions of jobs and lives. Biden was then handed a country going through something similar with Covid, caused by Trump's policies and deregulation. Good luck to whatever Democrat wins in 2028.

The budget and the national debt are two different things. We did have a budget surplus for some years under Clinton, but our national debt has been there for decades. It jumped with the 2008 financial crisis and at other points since. Republicans are definitely skyrocketing it like a psychopath (not just Trump, but the whole GOP congress funding all his shit and cutting taxes for the rich)

TBF under Obama the Debt increased to $20T from $5T under Bush, but Bush set Obama up with the Lehmannbrothers to a very step Debt increase which was down to 0-5% in 2016 and would have started to decrease in 2017/2018. It is not important how high the Debt it, but the growth of the Debt. UK for example had a massive WarDebt in 1950 of 200% GDP but had a slowly decline of it over the years till they payed off the wardebt. (30% in 2000)

Because of two simultaneous wars that Bush Jr kept off the books and a global economic collapse due to Bush Jr’s deregulation. Obama paid down a huge chunk of that debt and then Trump inflated it again. If not for Bush Jr and Trump alone, the debt would only be something like $5 trillion. But in a world where those two idiots were never president, we would’ve had an even bigger surplus and an incredibly robust social safety net. And probably less of a surveillance state because no 9/11.

As i said Obama putt down the Growth of the Debt to nearly Zero. After he inherited a Disaster by Bush. And it was projected to decreased in 2017/2018. And Trump is already increasing the Deficit he inherited by Biden, which halved the Deficit he got from Trump thanks to the great Covid policy.
