I still remember the original set, without the special pieces, just high-tech Erector Set style. For the matter, I remember Erector Sets.

STRIKE! LASER! CLLLAAAAWWW!!!!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've got a few ZOID kits in my shamefully large backlog.....

Used to watch it every morning before school and had pretty much all of the models. I lived and breathed Zoids!

Love me some Zoids, Elephander is BIG BOSS.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Me and my dad used to build these when I was young. I don't remember but he says it's one of his fondest memories.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That’s a really sweet memory, I’m glad you have it. I remember building models and Legos with my dad when I was little too.

I still have all my zoids! Favorite anime. Chaotic Century, that is. The newer one was kinda lame.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

you should try and find a stormsworder as well as the AS line since it focuses on the Genesis line

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

KB toys had all of them. I miss those days.

I have the Beserk Fury and Shadow Fox sitting on a shelf still. I think Chaotic Century was the best series.

Have you checked out Genesis? It's completely different, but some of the zoids were pretty cool

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s awesome, they’re fun models to build, if only they haven’t gotten so expensive on amazon!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So fucking cool

Got into gunpla recently but I've always wanted to build a liger zero. Nostalgia is a mofo.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I've always wanted to take a Gundam model and make it ride a Zoid. I mean there is the BuCUE but damn that's an old kit.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do note that if you buy a Kotobukiya HMM Liger Zero, the more recently released "Marking Plus Ver." does not come with a Bit Cloud pilot fig

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#1I have one like that

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Neat. I really need to finish my Gundam models

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well now I know where the design for Solgaleo came from ?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I fucking loved zoids as a tv show growing up. Sadly it is harder to find models.

They're still huge in Japan. When I lived there I was shocked at how readily available they were; you might be able to order some.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

eBay and other web stores that import from japan. Takes awhile to get them but my buddy does it regularly

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The supply of the hmm versions is running low though, so the prices are really high

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is unfortunately true...

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

These were so fun as fucking fuck to build. I still have my Red Blade Leiger and the Genobreaker. Great animes too!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Holy shit! I forgot all about how much I used to love Zoids.

My older brother had all the cool ones, like the motorized Saber Toothed Tiger and wolf. I had the crappy wind up rhinoceros.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You don’t just build them. You bring them to life.

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Watched the first and second series before school every morning

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Wow, honestly I thought it was just me! I didn’t realize Zoids was so popular.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have the same Liger Zero kit and a Jager i still need to get around to, been looking for the Shadow Fox for agesss

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They're releasing a game for the switch. Might have to check that out

6 years ago | Likes 81 Dislikes 0

Damn really? Hell I thought zoids basically disappeared cool

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but my quick look earlier I'm not holding hope it'll be what it should be.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like the Budokai DBZ games.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah it had that feel to me too, I just feel more open areas are needed given things like the gun snipers.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nb at the point of this comment I'd not watched game play. Watched it now, basicly generic fighter not impressed...

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

There used to be a zoids game in this bootleg 100 in 1 Gameboy game i had. It was terrible.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Really? Neat, I’ll have to check it out, I only knew of the old wary 2000s era games

6 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

I loved the Nintendo handheld RPGs, shame we missed some.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Unfortunately looks like a tournament fighter. Let me just say though, I would kill, KILL, for a dynasty warriors style Zoids game.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh hell yes though not sure how you'd do the trash units

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I want a mech warrior style, or at least battletech

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember Zoids. I randomly think about the show from time to time, although I have no clue why.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Anybody remember the Zoids GameCube game?

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I came looking for somebody talking about it!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Friend of mine bought it. I do not recall it being good....?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah....it wasn't....lot of circling opponents and shooting and that's....it....

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

^this^ the story mode was ok, but the tournament mode that allowed you to design a zoid, & upgrade with winnings was a straight CLUSTERf***

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice! Pilots molded in color, or did you paint?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The pilot figures actually were indeed molded into color...I think they’re 1:87 scale so similar to HO scale train figures, super small lol

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you saying Zoids are compatible with classic train sets? :D

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are any of those the windup kind?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nah, these are from the HMM series models from Kotobukiya, but I have heard of all sorts of battery/wind up ones like you mentioned

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The precursor to Horizon Zero Dawn.

6 years ago | Likes 171 Dislikes 1

precursor to solgaleo

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love that that game is FINALLY coming to PC

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh man. I build tanks and planes and stuff. If they came out with HZD machines that you had to fully put together I'd be all over that

6 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

One can dream.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

https://www.brothers-brick.com/tag/horizon-zero-dawn/ some of these can be bought as kits

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Zoids had a pretty robust model line in the early 2000s. I dont know how easy they are to find but they might be up your alley

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They still release new models in Japan
