#26 broken earth trilogy.

#19 I actually learned that babies literally don't understand that sleeping is the cure for tired. They just know that they feel like shit, that's why they need to be soothed to sleep. Poor things 😢

#6 sooo, if that dude in blue in the middle panel would definitely a witch if he was a woman because of all those pockets, right? https://www.egscomics.com/comic/2014-05-12

True, but also, the prefrontal cortex NEVER stops developing, and I mean NEVER. The study suggesting that development stopped at 25 merely ran out of funding once the subjects reached 25 - follow-up studies suggest that it just...keeps going, forever, for as long as you live.

#6 this is a cute story, but is totally false

#4 the magnitude of the centrifugal force experienced by rotating observers is proportional to their ANGULAR velocity, not linear. The merry-go-round and carnival ride complete a circle in a matter of seconds, while the earth takes 24 hours to do so.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Moreover, the circles of the merry-go-round and carnival ride are MUCH smaller than Earth's circle - hence, less angular momentum is transferred to Earthborne passengers than to folks using those specific amusement park rides, on top of the time difference (a few minutes vs. 24 hours).

Things do not spin in linear units!! #4 looks like some flat earth bullshit

#33 The poop looks like a toupee. I mean, most toupees look like shit, but this is the first time I’ve seen the reverse. A poop-ee.

#6 Disinformation from the witches, again. They just want you to not look in their purses and handbags. I've heard there are treats in there.

#25 itchy bumps from mosquito bites is an allergic reaction to the chemical they use as an anti coagulent, that's why some people itch more and mosquitoes seem worse outside of your area, in different areas the chemical is a little different.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thats why antihistamins work for the itch and swelling

of all the female chosen ones you choose, you choose the one where the movie is about preventing her kid, who is spoken quite solidly as the chosen one, from being born?
not trying to downplay the badassery of sarah, but, the premise was all about now allowing her 'chosen one' kid to not exist
(this is not intended to be harsh criticism, I can see how it can be taken that way)

#4 you don't feel speed, you feel changes in velocity. Earths velocity doesn't change so you don't feel it. Also the atmosphere moves with the earth, don't spread flat earth bullshit please

#1 Shirley we've learned much, and are totally prepared for any new epidemic or pandemic

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We've learned that literal convicted felons can somehow run the show - again - to murder more people with incompetence, negligence, and fuckwittery with 0 consequences.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

WHO says she killed 88 people world wide the last 7 days: (Like they say Muddville "Next batter!")

#34 proud to say I am the Disappeared Friend! So mysterious, so elusive. My friends from categories 1-3 wondering what marvellous things childless me is up to all the time (drinking iced lattes and lying in bed with my cats 24/7)

3 months ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 1

Believe it or not, friends, it is possible to go out and to interesting and fun things and not livestream it or immediately post photos to social media about it. Some people do things for themselves, not for internet strangers and imaginary points.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

None of my friends are the other three. I think we are all the disappeared friends.

3 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Disappeared while running to the end of the world!

Y'all should probably not drink while lying down.

Measles "hey guys, what's up?"

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm so antisocial I didn't even have covid yet. Secret life hack.

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I’ve never had it either. I read one time that if you haven’t had Covid by now, you don’t have any friends, and I think that’s rather fitting lol

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Username might have an affect

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I got it initially in Jan 2020 before it was even called covid. It was still mostly headlines about china. I DEFINITELY do not want ebola though - or hanta for that matter

3 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

People die too fast of Ebola for it to be a world wide problem. It’s a problem in w Africa.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was living in NYC during the 2016(?) outbreak and one of the infected doctors lived three blocks from me. I only found this out because I was picking up some dry cleaning and the nice lady said "Did you hear about the doctor with Ebola? He has clothes here right now!"

I mean, I knew it wasn't transmissible that way but I was still a little WTF…

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Tell that to the Dutch person admitted to hospital under the suspicion of Ebola.. in the Netherlands.

Any disease can travel anywhere within a day nowadays. Nobody is safe from any disease anymore.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

On one hand yes, but on the other I doubt that people are going to start setting fires to hospital buildings in the Netherlands because the hospital didn't permit the public direct access to infected corpses. Culture and the prevalence of modern scientific education is relevant to the spread of Ebola.

3 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I agree, but it does go to show that people can travel quickly to the reaches of the planet, and potentially infect people along the way.
Not fearmongering, but I remember the response when Covid hit in China and the blasé response around the world. Until it spread FAST.
