3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Circle of life man...

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This is very true.

3 years ago | Likes 85 Dislikes 14

Except it isn't since dinosaurs didn't turn into oil

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

The dinosaur aren't making a choice in the last one, they become oil(decayed) and their offspring become chicken. It's two separate events.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

The choice in question is that of the child.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Sounds like computer games, the choice is how you get to the next set story moment.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Pretty much anything by telltale

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Anyway, petroleum products, (distilled from oils) are frequently used in medicine. If anything, this meme is true for nearly everyone.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

As father to a dinosaur-obsessed three-year-old, this hits hard.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

well, the top one isn't true, but birds do descend from some small dinos https://youtu.be/9GVvtKK5sFw?t=40, so dino nuggets are real

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(I know the oil one isn't quite accurate, but it's still funny. I say allow it for the purposes of memetic licence.)

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

yeah, “dead dino juice” is definitely cooler

That's coal (for the majority of coal, anyway). Dinos were around for most of our oil but they'd have to be way out at sea.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

OH SHOOSH

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

There is some oil that may be from the dinosaur period but it's still plants

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Pffft everyone knows it's flammable dinosaur blood, c'mon

3 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 1

Dinosaurs ate the plants, died and became fodder for plants. It is a cycle

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

its amazing if you really think how much decaying matter was there in the first place

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oil is not dinosaurs, yet again.

3 years ago | Likes 665 Dislikes 17

There's a little dinosaur in there, but not much https://what-if.xkcd.com/101/

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a quote that says otherwise: "oil is dinosaurs." see?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's homeopathic dinosaur juice

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You might be more dinosaur than oil is, since a couple of molecules of the water in you almost certainly used to be in a dinosaur

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I will not be lectured by 31 liters of walking trex piss

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Mostly not. Little bit prolly is, but mostly it's plants and wee beasties.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But it sure is fun to pretend it is.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

thanks for the reminder

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dinosaurs poo. I also poo. Therefore I'm a dinosaur

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hey how about instead of the passive aggressive take you do some work for your fellow man and educate a mother fucker

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

*Mostly. Oil is mostly not dinosaurs. Depending on where the oil came from, it may be none at all or some but not much.(<1%)

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Maybe coal?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

A wee bit is.

So my car is not accelerated by setting dinosaurs on fire?

3 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Too soon !

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That'd be cool, but no.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

only if it runs off restaurant waste

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No but I bet horses would go REALLY fast if you set them on fire while riding.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's dinosaur plants

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Indeed. *Draws from pipe and adjusts monocle*

Dinosaur pants.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oil is regularly made, you have some before the dinos, some after the dinos, and some during the dinos. Gulf of Mexico is mostly Cretaceous.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Also chicken came from avian dinosaurs not non avian dinosaurs

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

oil is dinosaurs just not a measurable amount

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Look at mr/mrs I know the perfect oil recipe here.

2″ piece ginger, peeled, very finely chopped. ¼ cup crushed red pepper flakes. 2 Tbsp. soy sauce. 2 tsp. sugar

No lightly fried fish fillets? I was hoping for lightly fried fish fillets. And jumper cables

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I was under the impression that an absolutely minuscule portion of oil might well be dinosaurs, but the vast majority is plants n' plankton.

3 years ago | Likes 125 Dislikes 1

It's just common sense. Eons of seaweed, plants, et al, washing downstream, piling up, getting buried.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you understand homeopathy then you will understand that oil is in fact dinosaurs. Would you like to buy some?

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

What about dinosaur excrement? That could count, no?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

its not just plankton , its plant matter before bacteria existed or fungi who would decompose it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

its made of trees from before bacteria and bugs evolved the ability to break down cellulose.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No, that's coal.

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 2

i thought both oil and coal were made the same way, just oil is older. regardless, thanks for the clarification

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Coal is from coastal swamps, oil is from organisms accumulating on the ocean floor. Oil can be older, but since oil is so light it tends to-

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That's coal, not oil. Oil is from millions of years of dead plankton

3 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

So global warming is planktons fault? I've been telling people for years we gotta nuke the oceans! Strike back strike first strike hard!/s
