I cant remember where I read this, but it was along the lines of "if you dont laugh at farts, you're denying yourself enjoyment while still having the same amount of farts in your life." Something like that anyway.

Worth noting that the Federation tended to be nicer to the Klingons (who were prone to viciously attacking anyone they thought was weak enough to be conquered) than to the Ferengi. It makes me wonder how Kirk would have treated the Ferengi.

#34 Bailey White wrote a short story in the 90s. The main character remembers being a girl of about 6, with a high fever. It would have been in the mid-1950s, when doctors made house calls. The doctor determines her temperature is the exact temperature needed to incubate some eggs he has, and his incubator (and presumably the mother bird) were out of commission. After a few days, she wakes up one morning, surrounded by the chirping and down feathers of the hatchlings. It's very sweet.

Hey samesies. I started on TNG because the general consensus is that DS9 is the best and I figured it's only fair to watch the series from which spun off. Ive also been cherry picking episodes of TOS and I honestly dont get all the hate for it. It's actually delightful if you approach it like a campy space comedy.

These things are carnivorous? I've once gotten lost on a trail and ended up with hundreds of them covering me and my hubby. Thought they were just some random moth caterpillars. Some ended up in my hair and didn't get out until we got home.
