The writing in today's comic books are so childish, immature, and outright stupid. Yes, the 60s-80s stories were unbelievable and contrived but they had weight and the writers were making an effort. Comic book writers today just want to cater to the uneducated and shallow for a laugh or "like". Stupid dump

I wish more Marvel games would remember that Nightcrawler is also a swashbuckling enthusiast. Give him some swords.

Captain America is such a jerk, throwing things at those poor mutants.

Also confused the hell out of me.

Anyone one immediately think Captain America threw the Egg because of where #18 and #19 are?

I mean there as that time that Doc Ock turned into a Japanese middle school girl

Thanks! Sadly haven't read a whole lot of comics despite loving the medium, its just hard to find them.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are some sites to read them, though they aren't the kind that the companies would suggest you use *wink wink nudge nudge* but I don't read a lot either. The recent stories have become bland, contrary, or predictable

One of Deadpool's Exes. Literally snu-snu'd him on multiple occasions as show in the ancient texts.

#5 someone should explain to them that people don't go through any sort of quality control or regulations. Livestock are much better eating than people. People are gross.

10 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Why are you assuming that the Jotunheim doesn't have an FDA? Maybe their human regulations are incredibly robust?

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Maybe they do like with escargot and raise them on a diet to cleanse them before eating them?

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not if they're harvesting from Earth. How robust can your regulations be if you're starting in a junkyard?

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

#9 That is so wholesome!

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#2 and sprinkled throughout. You have no idea how much I love the idea of exploring Venoms softer side. Seeing him gleefully taking care of baby symbios is my dream

#1 the worst power to have in Xmen

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't they have like a machine or something that resurrects them? Power neutralized indeed.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not exactly. Prof. X was using Krakoa (a living island) to naturally produce clone bodies and transferring memories into them. The mutants treated it like they were immortal, but it was just clones (or the Star Trek matter transporter discussion, if you like).

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh I see… well, that enters a Rick and Morty / Theseus ship philosophical discussion. Is a meat sack with the transferred memories of a person a different person? Do Freaky Friday'd people swap bodies, or minds?

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

shit as often as they die, she's at least going to be a consistent teacher that isn't going to miss classes

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I dunno, the one with an always-on several-mile-wide instant death field kinda sucked.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

She seems to have invulnerability as well, so not as bad off as the regenerating ones.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#1 - Invincible doesn't mean unstoppable, especially if that's your only power.

Handcuffs, a ball gag, and a deep and unmarked grave solves this mutant.

You know, if you're... the type who'd bury someone alive.

10 months ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

There's a reason wolverine's weaknesses include drowning and energy projectors. Is it a permanent solution? No. Will he be effectively dealt with? Yes. Nick Fury actually took him out once by jamming a pen through his ear to buy time to GTFO. Jean and magneto can toss him into low orbit, he has been repeatedly trapped underwater unable to regenerate due to constant state of drowning. Granny smite is just a much less threatening version of him only useful for suicide situations.

A person who can't die will dig free eventually. I'm more "concrete overshoes and dump'em into the Marianas trench where it's cold enough that mammalian muscles just won't work" school of thought. They can stay down there in a hypothermia coma until the concrete erodes away, assuming the silt accumulation doesn't turn them into a geological feature.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mythbusters did an episode on this. Unless you've super digging powers, not necessarily. Think of it this way - if you can be restrained by a few feet of rope, you can be restrained by several feet of dirt too.

And sure, this is comic book land where some psychic mumbo jumbo can locate and excavate your victim, but they can also be temporal-displaced back to life with some time travel shenanigans if you erase them with a doomsday weapon.

"Permanent" solutions are rarely if ever a thing.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Granny Smite isn't invincible. For context, she can't die, but they do cover in a different comic that if she were in space, she'd basically just float on forever (or until she died of old age, as she can age).

10 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

So kinda the same principle - even if you can't inflict meaningful damage, you can still restrain her indefinitely (or until she expires).

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Generally, yes, assuming she doesn't mind breaking her bones or doing something else. I'm not 100% on how her inability to die works. They usually just showed her surviving stuff, but I'm not sure if her body rebuilds or is just entirely invulnerable.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Seems invulnerable. Fire had no effect. She strolled around hard vacuum. She was singing Copa Cabana while getting shot with RPGs. I think she just doesn't take damage.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You can not kill me in any way that matters.

Decay exists as an extant form of life.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

There’s a character Butterball who is effectively immortal. His cells are in a permanent state. Absolutely nothing can happen to them.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's surprising how many superheros can put you into orbit and how many villains can't get out of orbit and how few villains are in orbit.

10 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Isn't that like half the plot of Superman 2?

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's usually my go-to in like "Superman versus the Hulk" discussions. If one guy can alter his velocity and trajectory at will in space, and the other guy can't, that's usually a pretty done deal.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Superman: "So I threw it into the sun."
Batman: *Grumbling*

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Always seemed like the ideal way to get rid of Doomsday to me. "He just keeps coming back stronger!" "Yeah, nah, hold my beer."

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure there's at least one invincible hero in a coffin out in space somewhere. I don't remember the exact context.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The Immortal chucked some guy into space because he didn't have time to solve the situation more subtly because of the big alarm back at base.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know that Juggernaught tried to attack world breaker hulk, (I think it was) and since hulk couldn't be bothered to fight with him, he side stepped him and hit him really hard and knocked him MILES away and went on with whatever he was doing

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

One mutant had their base in orbit for a while

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If by "put them into orbit" you mean "punt them really really hard", maybe not. They might be thrown so hard that they leave the atmosphere, but that's peanuts compared to actual orbital velocity, so they'll just come back down. If they're punted so hard that they hit orbital velocity within the troposphere (where we live), they'll still experience loads of drag on the way up and no longer be at orbital velocity by the time they leave the atmosphere, and again will just fall back down. And >

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

> then if they're punted so hard that they're *still* at atmospheric velocity by the time they leave the atmosphere, they'll still have a ballistic trajectory that would take them back into the atmosphere. So they would have to punt them so hard that they reach outright *escape velocity* (by the time they exit the atmosphere) so they enter an independent orbit around the Sun. (Or get punted to trans-lunar injection for a gravity assist, which is almost as hard.)

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Orbit" requires some pretty precise calculations, but, with enough force, you can get them into somebody else's gravity well.

I don't know how I feel about Eddie/Venom shipping.

10 months ago | Likes 76 Dislikes 2

Does it count as incest or masturbation though...

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you jerk off when you have a symbiote it's kinda like the symbiote jerking you off. You can't escape it.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Kinda craps on the original Symbiote storyline and given Mary Jane is now the new Venom... well it's a train wreck. I mean marvel's shit the bed on so much in the last decade or so so I can't say that's their worse decision but it's still bad.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I write a series where the MC has a symbiote type of entity, and you would not believe the number of readers who ship them lol.

...Okay, you probably could believe it.

10 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Don't you change
Some walk by night
Some fly by day
Nothing could change you
Set and sure of the way
Charming and bright
Laughing and gay
I'm just a stranger
Love the blues and the braves
There is the sun and moon
Some think it's sweeter
When you meet along the way
Come walk by night
Come fly by day
Something is sweeter
'Cause we met along the way
We'll walk by night
We'll fly by day
Moonlighting strangers
Who just met on the way

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, it would probably make more sense if it was a narcissist. Eddie Brock was absolutely Self-Centeredness and that's probably close enough to make sense for some who want to ship them.

There's a comic book issue of Venom Symbiote literally sneaking into Peter's home just to try and get his help because the symbiote got worried about Eddie. I remember reading it and wondering why they made the Venom Symbiote almost talk like a worried wife.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Well, that would check out, since my character starts pretty self absorbed as well, hahaha. His whole character arc is learning to put other people first. The funny thing is, once a love interest showed up, the readers just pivoted to "I guess it will be poly now"

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Makes me think of a cute pet.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Creeps me out the same as Deadpool/Spidey shippers. Venom actively made Eddie's life worse most of the time and treated him as a disposable body.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Deadpool/Spidey shippers such as Deadpool?

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Kinda feels a bit incestuous to me. Not that they're related or anything, but it has that sort of feeling to it. But then again, I haven't really been reading the comics in like, a couple decades, so I'm way behind on the current lore, so I might very well be talking out of my ass.

10 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Step parasite what are you doing?

10 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Symbiote originally bonded with Pete, then jumped to Eddie, then back and forth like spurned lovers with bad habits. Retconned to having been with Deadpool first due to time travel shenanigans, explaining why Symbiote is insane and obsessed with Pete. Eddie later sold the Symbiote and it got passed around, also left on its own to find its own hosts, was bonded with Gargan (Scorpion) for a while. Returned to Eddie, left Eddie again, ended up with Flash Thompson, went to space, ended up with MJ.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm sure there's more I'm missing, but yeah - Symbiote gets around.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Mary Jane is Venom now, I guess. Flash has the Anti-Venom. I THINK Eddie is the new Carnage but not sure

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Flash is in Marvel now? Damn. Ezra really screwed the pooch there.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Venom wants out of the "relationship" and back with Eddie

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is she not "Jackpot" any more? If so, thank christ. Hated that powerset.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

From my understanding, no. I don't read so I'm not sure. Something happened and the two are now "permanently" stuck together or they'll die (or at least MJ will)

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No, she's Jackpot with Venom as a unwilling sidekick
