Seriously, guys....

Seriously, guys....

I've been a PC gamer all my life. I bought a PS4 recently, and it's the best gaming experience I've ever had.

I just downgraded to a ps4 i dont give a fuck

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

Why did you downgrade? I'm not judging, I'm just asking.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I presume to play with friends, not everyone can dish out a grand so they can play Arma 3 with each other

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

60fps at 4k with a titan xp? Nooice. I'm stuck in qhd land with the 980ti waiting for the 1080ti

Your day will come in March. 17th to be specific.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Looked it up on amazon. All I can say is "holy shit man"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Real gamers stock up on RAM so they can mod more shit in Skyrim without it breaking

When that thing chugs on your system with 17GB used RAM, you know you dun did er up good.

410 mods and counting.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What good is a PC when you rage quit even username creation?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The fact that controllers only cost half as much is a good start. For 15 bucks throwing it is an option.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

But his display is only 1024 x 768 resolution...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I swear I used to have a gaming rig. But then I got Dark Souls 3 on Steam and learned that is no longer the case.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1080 is better bang for your buck. Titan X just means you've wasted your money and it'll be obsolete in a few years.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

..is what someone who cant afford one would say.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

1070 is even better bang for the buck.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That's not close to the NVIDIA Titan X still. To even consider getting a Titan, you'd want very good performance

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Not much of a Nvidia fan - but this is true, in general, for GPUs/CPUs. The newest cards/chips are upmarked to hell and back, and become/1

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

obsolete just as fast as a card/chip released 6 months ago. So unless bragging rights are worth pissing money away, you're better off/2

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

by your own logic.. he's got a 6-month bonus on it going obsolete over buying cheaper....

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

by your own logic.. he's got a 6-month bonus on it going obsolete over buying cheaper....

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That said, do I personally think the extra $400+ is worth it for six months? Fuck no.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're forgetting that new DirectX/OpenGL features, and other new tech automatically triggers obsolescence in existing GPUs

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

finding that happy middle ground/3

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1. True that. While the titan x still spanks the 1080, your best money is always in the 60-70s (unless you run 4k). That said, I've seen

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

2. quad titan x benchmarks that make me cream my panties.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Cute, since SLI only supports up to 3..

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Certainly not arguing - but in 6 months they'll release a new card that makes the Titan X look like a 1080, and so on.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sick humble brag confession.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

"humble"

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As a casual, I'm perfectly happy with my GTX 1080.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So you're bragging about not bragging? -1

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If you decided to spend money on a Titan X you're either on welfare or so rich that money is meaningless. Generally speaking.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

money is meaningless, frame rates are forever

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Amen brother.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Frame rates actually aren't forever; they're but for a second in time.

I know as much as the word Nvidia. And only because my son harassed me for a good graphics card.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They started by talking about PCs, then took a hairpin turn and described a gunship with a 4,000 rpm rotary cannon and 60 missile payload.

9 years ago | Likes 149 Dislikes 2

Rounds or revolutions per minute?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

It can be watever you want it to be baby.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's totally it though

9 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

I'm actually fairly certain that the new AC-130s with the GAU-12 25mms can reach 4000rpm rate of fire, if only for a few seconds.

This is why you're a peasant.

Ah, got it...that is definitely a clarification

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My friend wasted over 2,400 dollars to build his dream PC, and brags about it every time we hang. I don't care about your "master race,"-

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

If you're going to be this pretentious about gaming and how people should play and enjoy virtual reality on a pc every time we talk, go away

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I get it, it's a cool PC. It does cool stuff, it looks fine as hell, but don't brag about how you're better than me because you have it, god

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I get that this is a joke, but I've never understood people who brag about possessions. You just chose to spend your money a certain way.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Because people like to brag about things they have in front of people that dont. It's a superiority complex.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the whole console vs PC pissing contest gets old after a while. Be happy with the game box you got or get a new one, quit bitching

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

:'(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

While some are dicks about it, there are those who try nicely to inform people that PC gaming is objectively superior in order to help them.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's true, and I advocate for PC when I can, but something needs to be done about PC elitists and console fanboys that can't be happy...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

With the gaming machine they have and have to belittle other people's purchases. PC elitists have a tendency to treat all console players as

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The stereotypical "peasant" without understanding subjective choice, while console fanboys have to believe that their console is objectively

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah but you cant play FF15, god of war and ....oh wait neither do it :( i got an i7 6700k and a 1060GTX instead of ps4 :( *cries in 60fps*

9 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 1

Have a screaming PC, but have a XBOX One S for my 4k TV (recommended!). You aren't missing anything with FF15 except noodle commercials...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Mate. Emulators. If youre patient you can play pretty much any console game.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Sure you can play GoW on a PC. You just stream your PS4 to it via remote play :-p

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly. There are lots of exclusive on PS, I play PC games too but much less exclusives on it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Instead you can play Arma. Or KSP (They SAY it'll be ported at one point, I highly doubt it will be good. Especially without mods)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

your cpu and gpu combo is odd to me

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh gotcha. I have a fairly old build lol I'm still running an i7-2600... time for an upgrade I think

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How impossible it is to just save up some funds and own both platforms you are interested in?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

FFXV will come out on pc after a while just like FFXIII did.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

I couldn't wait. I bought a PS4 for $210 on black friday and picked up Last Guardian and FFXV. I've played neither in 2 months :|.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you use FFXIII as an indication, you'll have to wait 4 years.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I *loved* FFXII's battle system, though. Such a disappointment that they ditched it for more random encounters and costume changes. ;_;

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

On the bright side, by the time PCs get it, maybe they'll have finished patching the story.

9 years ago | Likes 0 Dislikes 1

GTA5 took a while too, but the result was a game that looked far better than the console 'original', so ill wait. :')

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

It also has a massive gap between last gen and current, pc was just 4 months after XBone and PS4, with more content.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was already over my budget :P and in greece a 1080 costs about 700 euro :P

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Dang thats expensive. It might be almost worth it to fly to the U.S. and buy one. Hang in there fellow pc master race.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Lucky you, mine cost 809 euros. It's ok, could be better.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i picked up a 1060 on black friday... my 750 still played every game on high settings but i wanted it more higher. 2x1080=most highest?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think 2xTitanX is the highest you can get

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Technically, but SLI (2 cards) performance on newer games has been...spotty at best. Most new titles barely take advantage of a second card

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And nobody knows if this trend will go up or down - SLI is falling out of favour as it no longer makes as much sense, but there is the 1/

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think 2xTitanX is the highest you can get

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the point is though, spending 8x more money on a 1080 to play the same games at the same settings is elitist and useless ;)

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

1080p 144+fps > 4k 60fps

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

As a titanXP owner; 3440x1440@100Hz. > Everything.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

1080p is like Senor Chang looking at a small piece of paper dot gif for me. I haven't been below 1200p since 2008

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

But my point still stands.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Console guy here, why? I see what your saying often, never asked though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Less input time, smoother, just makes high movement easier to follow.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Response time, higher fps means Less ms between key presses and seeing them on-screen

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Generally everything gets drawn faster but that's the main point

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Close but not always correct. Depending on the engine used, polling may be tied to framerates due to the internal rendering loop. 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That is why running some games at 500 FPS even if those frames are dropped forces the game to get inputs 500 times a second. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I know the game engine is a big factor as well but it generally works out that higher framerates lead to a faster response time.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok so I know fuck all about gaming pcs but how much would I have to spend to get a decent setup and which would be the best bits to go for ?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

If you want 4K gaming with good frames it could range from $800 to $1200 it just matter how good you want it to look.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As long as you're okay with 1080p you should be able to get a decent rig together for $400-$500 that will last a few years.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

https://www.reddit.com/r/PCMasterRace/wiki/builds has a buch of different builds with a breakdown of parts. pcpartpicker.com is good too.

Console player? console player. Yeah you know nothing about PCs. My $800 rig from a year or two ago (which is $400 now iirc) can run like 90

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

percent of games out now on ultra settings at 60fps. Only thing holding me back is I foolishly bought a non-future proofed processor.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I've been playing primarily PC for almost 10 years, but sure assume that because I contradict the PCMR circlejerk I'm a console peasant.

My pc is $700 and I'm playing battlefield 1 at ultra settings at ~45 fps. My rig can play any AAA game @ high settings and >30 fps

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

BF1 isn't really a GPU intensive game, plays just fine on mid tier builds as long as you don't go above 1080p.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Keep in mind that a lot of the cost depends on what you have to replace/upgrade. But unless you like pissing money way, it's foolish/1

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

to buy the just released stuff - markup is ridiculous, and it will be outdated about as quickly as something released 6 months ago. /2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah as a person with a red light up keyboard it does improve game play tremendously.

My wife actually designed mine. Not sure what that means.

That's just bad airflow.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It all goes from bottom and front to top and back. I probably don't need a couple of them, but I like the excess.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

not necessarily. You just want the fans all blowing in the same direction.

10 fans? Must be AMD.

Just upgraded to Intel 5-6600K from AMD fx 6200. Never had any problems with heat. CPU never went over 30c in idle or 55c under load.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yeah I had to strap my last AMD rig down to keep it from hovering around the room.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You think AMD is hot, I use to work at Intel. Ever seen a pre-production CPU get overclocked to the max? Lava.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

The Motherboard didn't survive... or the workbench.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They shouldn't be lava post-production tho. My 6600K is nice and cool @ 4.6 GHz with a tiny ITX air cooler. MY AMD CPU was a space heater.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That is because we lock it so you cant do that but if you have unlocked firmware you can force it to do anything with no problems.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Two are on my AMD GPU, two in the front, two in the back, two on top, one on bottom and one on processor.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Sounds like it should be suspended in midair by cables attached to the corners so as not to restrict airflow on any side.

you need alien computers from XCOM to run 4k at 144fps

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nah. Seriously I built a pc on falcon northwest's website and then just bought all the parts they were going to use. 1/3rd the cost.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

144hz is a way better gaming experience than 60fps at 4k

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

I dunno 60 feet per decond sounds really fast to me. My computer just sits on my desk.

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

He probably has it capped off

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

if you don't use a 144mhz monitor, you should

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Ah yes, those 4k 144mhz super monitors... I think you mean 144hz, and no monitor does that with native 4k yet, not retail at least

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

i have a 4k monitor @ 60hz and 144hz monitor that does 2560x1440. the latter is where it is at.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm not arguing haha just saying anything by 1440 isn't technically 4k :P

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember those days. Pentium 144mhz.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I always said that g-sync is overrated before I tried it... Oh boy <3

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I have Freesynch, and while not as good as G-Synch, my games run like butter and it is awesome.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you have to buy a special monitor for g sync?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes unfortunately. They are expensive.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Damn :( yeah I looked up the prices and the prices are pretty insane.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You could get a Freesync monitor to pair with an AMD GPU, they're a fair bit more reasonable.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Proprietary bullshit as always from nvidia. I hope FreeSync/Adaptive Sync wins the race, best for everybody involved.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I own nvidia shit and I spent 200€ more for a v sync monitor but I agree with you. We need more competition to have better shit

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's too expensive though. I wish NVIDIA wasn't so greedy.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

G-sync is amazing... Such silky smooth frame rates...

Do you have to buy a special monitor to use G sync?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes. G-Sync requires added hardware.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Such silky smooth variable refresh rates

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

60 FPS on 4K is amazing, Sony PS4 Pro can't even do 4K. Only upscale but that's still not 4K

9 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 9

There are also no games that run natively in 4k on either console.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sony PS4 does have a few titles that do run native 4K such as Skyrim but there are frame drops

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

A rig that can run 60fps on 4K at medium settings will cost you twice the amount of a PS4 on the GPU alone. Disingenous comparison.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 13

That's not the point. The point is that Sony is falsely advertising the PS4 Pro as 4k capable when it really isn't

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

But the ps4 pro is upscaled 4K and it's 30fps. Still, PC would be more expensive. Also pc games are way cheaper. So costs are the same.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

You would have to buy a lot of games to make up for the difference between a $400 PS4 Pro and a $1500+ gaming rig.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Wtf mate a 1500 gaming rig will do 60fps 4k medium settings. So your logic is flawed.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

An RX 480 pc costs only 100 more than a PS4 pro, and if you buy a RX 470, cost is the same. Both gpus are far better than ps4.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

I dont know why your getting downvoted, I Just got a 1080 and it set me back 800. Just under 2 ps4s.

I don't think that was the original commenter point. He's saying that ya obvs the PC runs better it's 3 times the price

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Because the PCMR circlejerk doesn't like dissenting voices that point out their elitism.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 4

They are just chronically unhappy because deep down ever PCMR knows someone has a better rig then them. I'm just happy with what I have.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

What do you mean "even Ps4pro can't..."? Thats like saying "even my Fiat Panda can't hit 100mph. :P only top of the line pcs with dual

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 1

...dual GPUs hit constant 60fps on 4K.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Quadro P6000 can, but it's like $5000 or something. Also the GTX 1080 can with a few settings turned down.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yeah i know it runs gta V on max settings around 30fps

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not for long, in well optimized Vulcan games Vega gpus will be able to do it with just one.

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Make sure so check out ve.ga if you haven't

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yea but upscale 4K for $400 is still pretty good.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 42

Ok so I get this is a pc circle jerk but nowhere here did I say console was better than pc so da fuck did I get Downvoted for I just 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Said that for the price for people that don't have the time for a pc it's good and.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Only at 30 fps though.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Some games play 60 but overall yea but for the price people would go for it.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 5

... in a way

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Demanding better shit works, i demanded your mom perform better in bed and she brought her sisters.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm really sorry man, nobody should be traumatized like that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

$600 pc can do that with cheaper games and free online play.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

It'll take a $400 GPU to be able to do that. The rest of your PC is going to cost $200?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Could you give me an example of a 600$ setup that runs 60fps@4k? And i'm talking triple A titles. Not indi sidescrollers in 4K

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

But PS4 pro is 4k upscaled, not true 4k and it runs at 30fps.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I don't think you can do higher framerates at 4k due to output limitations. 120/144 monitors seem to cap at 2k.

9 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

Depending on the connectors on your GPU you can do 4K/120 or 8K/60, but again you'd need one of the displays from CES that doesn't exist yet

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Ah, see I'd heard the issue was you needed a forthcoming DisplayPort standard to push that much through. May have been old info.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

FPS over the monitors refresh rate can still reduce input lag. It's a reason you'll see people run on low settings in competitive games.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If you ran quake 3 with anything other then 125 fps the game would suck.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It will still look better if you render more frames as the delay between a rendered and displayed frame is shortened.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't think it has anything to do with limitations with the monitor I'm pretty sure it's just that computers struggle to make more than 60

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

if my calculations are correct, uncompressed 4k @ 144fps is roughly 28 Gigabits per second. HDMI 2.0 limits at 18 Gbps.

7680x1440 isn't 4k I thought? Technically

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A fair point. I was talking about a single, 4k display. Triple monitors come with a lot of issues of their own. (3x1080 here)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh but it's so worth it. So far I've been getting great results with the games I'm playing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I really liked it for Elite, and FPS'. The main issue for me was the distortion on the side monitors could get really distracting at times.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

May be wrong but I'm pretty sure most monitor resolutions dont even go higher than 1080p. 4k is pointless because monitors don't display it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Don't hate I just feel like I've heard that or something along those lines

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Many more resolutions above 1080p - go check it out!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are definitely monitors that go above 1080p, but up until a few years ago they were very expensive. That may be why.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You can buy 4k monitors

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it that the human eye cant notice a difference?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No I have a 4K TV and it looks fucking amazing.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DP 1.3 supports 4k 120hz. There are only few monitors that support it though.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

how many gpus youll think youll need? i mean to run anything other that dota or c-strike. say witcher 3. theres no point in havng a display>

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not saying you should buy a 4K monitor right now...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not saying you should buy a 4K monitor right now...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Asus debuted a 144 hz 4k monitor at ces

9 years ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

No shit? I hadn't heard that. Nice.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Yeah they announced 2 of them, coming Q2 2017, both use the new G-Sync HDR too

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's still not available to buy so doesn't matter at this point. Also they'll cost more than most PCs haha

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And a 240hz 1080p monitor

9 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

I mean, I'm not gonna rain on the parade, but 120 is basically the highest we can see. Still good that things are advancing.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

1000 is the number you're looking for. 150 is about the highest the 'average person' can differentiate.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Oh god I need it

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

WHAT

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Now they just need to team up with dell for an 8k 240hz monitor

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Meanwhile here i am with a 1360x768 tv screen capped at 60 hz... while also having a GTX 1060..

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Welp. I'm doing 1280x1024 at 60hz :/ but ya know, at least my shit machine churns out a stable 300 fps in csgo

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At least do 1920×1080 man!! That hurts to hear :(

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

why in gods name are you spending money on GPU with that screen ?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But I don't think any gpu has the power to run it.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I bet the 1080 does. My 980 from 2 years ago does 4K/60 on a lot of games. 1080 is way stronger, turn down some settings and 144hz couldwork

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Im talking about max and even with settings turned down on some games.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends entirely on the game. I can imagine Dota or CSGO running at those fps on a good rig.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Maybe a NVIDIA Quadro P6000. But that's a professional grade gpu that'll run you over four and a half grand.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Thats a workstation GPU. different beast for a different job. A high end gaming GPU will easily perform it.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, quadro's advantage is in the vram for rendering, in terms of gaming it's just like a high end GeForce card

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

no. no single gpu exsits than can run all new main titles @ 4k @ 60hz min. Single gpu all fluently is 1440p.
