#3 There was a cafe near my old apartment with the BEST BLT’s I’ve ever eaten. They shut down and I’m still hunting for a BLT of equal potency.

#3 There was a pizza place nearby. It wasn't the best pizza but it was good enough especially for the price. Their creamy spinach pizza was pretty good. I kinda got so used to eating and ordering from there for years. One day I opened up the food delivery app and they were gone. I didn't think much of it initially. Then I went to visit the physical store and they really were closed... I guess business was not as good as I thought, even if I ordered from them like twice a month...

#3 I'm not sure what's worse. Losing a restaurant you love deeply overnight, or seeing the slow decline from greatness of one you once loved before they got all cheapskate; sacked the staff and rat-fucked the menu.

#3 Changed ownership twice in 5 years, after we had been going there for 20 years. First it was sold to a niece/nephew without much change. But after the 2nd sale, the menu stayed the same but the food wasn't very good and the service suffered. Nobody else has made a chili cheese omelette with jalepanos like they used to.

It might have been an amphibian. Gotta be precise

#3 worse. It going to a new owner who fires all the staff, and tapes new prices and just whites-out other items on the menus.

#3 Holy shit, I didn't expect to relive old memories today. I would kill to go back to the local grill from when I was a kid. No idea what it was called, i just know it was the best thing I ever ate

It’s even worse when it’s an international chain. I’m addicted to TKK Fried Chicken but all the franchises nearest to me keep closing!
Rathan5
I know it can’t possibly have been as good as I remember it being, but I would absolutely kill for a burger from Round the Corner, that shit was like the holy grail of going out for dinner as a kid

Chi-Chi's chicken enchiladas (with Spanish/mexican rice) and fried ice cream for afters.

Local Greek Deli guy died young (mid 50s?).. guessing by his weight.. probably a heart issue. His son was never interested in it. I loved hitting that place up for a couple gyros a week. And a gelati cone to go!

Theres this little yellow house built in the 1800s out by the beach here that was turned into a "cafe", and the owner also owned a farm- so a lot of the produce came from the farm, a lot of the waste back to it. They fitted the outdoor porch with large window panes so you could sit next to rainy windows if that was the weather. Upstairs they had a gallery rotating through local artists, and a collection of surfboards.
There was a courtyard with a koi pond shared by a little sushi place and a->

Small bar- they had a collaboration going with those businesses and everyone shared the little courtyard covered in plants, dotted with wrought iron outdoor seating, and draped in little hanging lights.
They had a strawberry milkshake, and a mushroom falafel that were SO good.
I miss it. I took a pic of part of the house way back when:
(Imgurs not letting me just add it so next comment)
