People on planes are one serving friends ... I once sat beside a black judge from Buffalo who became a lawyer during the Civil rights era and woman who claimed she was a single mom with nothing who now owned a bunch of car dealerships in Phoenix .. it was an amazing/interesting conversation that time went by so quickly from our flight from Buffalo to Phoenix

I went to improvisation courses in Florida. I’m non-native english speaker and european. As a result I don’t feel shame anymore. I didn’t before and I don’t now offend people and never make anyone feel uncomfortable. A good joke in a situation can make me look dumb and clumsy but never try to position youself higher than who you are talking with (I took standup comedy course too). Talk to people you come by and ask for top-3 worst jokes they hear from their customers. Probably no-one has asked.
