Random tip from left field: If anyone needs to cleanly cut sponge foam materials to make cushions, etc, a scalloped blade like this is the shizzle. An electric bread knife is THE power tool for the job.
In my experience, the best knife for stabbing is an X-Acto hobby knife. They are super sharp and I have accidentally stabbed/slashed myself several times with them.

A word of warning tho: the doctor who later on stiched me up, didnt find my handy work as good as I initially thougth.
