Seems like more bad owners should themselves receive some of the harm their lack of care causes others.

Owners are the worst. Good on that guy.
noReallyIamPrincessBob
That guy needed to be maced some more. He’s entirely too comfortable.
wurstkaesescenario
Unlash your dog.
CallMeMcGyver
Was a dog required to walk down that street?...Also, the twat that got maced didn't get punched nearly as much as he deserved.
charondaboatman
Did you actually read my post, or are you so hell bent on assigning blame that you’ve temporarily lost your fucking mind? Read it again, sport, nice and slow. Try to understand each fucking word. The word “kicking” doesn’t appear in my comment.
IliveIdyeIliveagain
Looks like that happened somewhere in British

I'll boot a little dog to the mother fucking moon if it comes after me or my dog/kids. That's why there's a leash law.
However, there's this big, fluffy German shepherd in my neighborhood that pulls hard after cars, bunnies, other dogs, people, doesn't matter. He's pulled the owner off their feet before and I can't help but think maybe it's time to admit they shouldn't have a dog they can't train/care for?
THESEVENSGUY
The law in my city says you have to have your dog(or any animal)under control both on and off leash.
sesamestreetfighter
My county is on-leash unless at a dog park or similar area. Areas like open spaces and trails your dog has to be on-leash unless the owner and dog are registered with the "voice and sight" program and at certain times of the year in certain places all dogs must be leashed to protect birds.
BosunMark
Both parties are wrong here..
BloodyDisappointment
How? So what if he kicked the dog. Motherfucker was lucky dude didnt stomp its brains out for attacking.
thatguyfromny
The hell they are. The guy with the white dog was 100% in the wrong. The other guy was protecting his dog.
TheJomsborgViking
The dogs got along faster than the people did. People are scum.
ziralien
See how you feel about that when someone's off leash dog attacks a pet you own, or even goes after you. Get outta here.
BosunMark
I have had this EXACT thing happen in the past. I didn't lash out and kick the other dog. It was obvious the white dog was wanting to be friendly, not acting menacingly. Unpopular opinion, but I don't like people kicking dogs..
bigdix69420
No leash???????????? They are at fault . It's easy. Stop trying to justify it. The owner waves all rights
charondaboatman
1. The white dog should be leashed. The owner is a dick.
2. The leashed dog’s owner reacts appropriately by attempting to distance a rushing unleashed dog from contacting his dog or him.
3. When it became evident that the white dog wasn’t attacking, everyone should have fucking stopped. Everyone.
4. BOTH humans were at fault for escalating the event. The dogs worked it out just fine; and, they usually do. Humans, not so much.
BosunMark
EXACTLY what I meant when I stated both were at fault.
greatbam
One guy wasn't following the basic basic basic rule of leashing his dog.
BosunMark
The white dog wasn't attacking. Yes, should of 100% be leashed, but the other guy kicking the dog would piss me off.. They were both wrong in my book
bigdix69420
Lol no... no leash in public? They are AT FAULT
PrincessNausicaa
If a dog runs at you or your pet, you're 1000% in the right, morally and legally to attack it.
greatbam
He was keeping the unleashed dog from attacking his dog! Don't want your dog kicked? Then be a good dog owner and follow the rules! This is stupidly simple. Plenty of worse things have happened by unleashed dogs.

No! No! NO! BOTH WERE NOT AT FAULT. That is dumb. This event would NOT have happened if the owner of the white dog had does his job as an owner and leashed his dog. Since you want to double down on this the guy "kicking the white dog" was more like nudging the dog anyway and the idiot owner not leashing his dog should've noticed this and chilled out.
