"...price of a cup of coffee." Now, are we talking homebrew coffee, coffee from a convenience place, or StarGiveusallyerbucks coffee?

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It is also too hot, there are too many people, it stinks...

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When my kids were little they REALLY wanted to build a giant snowman. Until they got outside and realized it was cold af and snow was heavy.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

"The price of a cup of coffee" be more specific, do you mean instant coffee at home, Macca's coffee, a super expensive cup of coffee from Melbourne and your from some country that has a horrid exchange rate so that for the same price back home you could have a coffee from a high class place every day for the same price as this one Melbourne coffee.

I saw the beach for the first time when I was 15. We drove 16 hours (from Arkansas) and I immediately got in the water. It was roughly 7 pm and JUST past sunset, but not quite dark.

A jellyfish swam between my legs and missed stinging my junk by about 3 inches. That was my first introduction to the beach.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Lol. I did that as a kid.

I mean, in my defense, sand sucks, sun burns suck, and the water is *salty*.

2 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

But it leaves that recognizable feel on your skin! 😍

Salt crust. It leaves a salt crust all over your skin. Combine that with the sun burns for an itchy evening.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I grew up in Florida, and I also don't like the beach. I hate sand. There's no shade and I am super pale so I burn to a crisp in less than 30 minutes if I'm not putting on heavy duty sunscreen (which I hate the greasy feeling of) or I'm wearing clothing over every inch of my body, which is hot and uncomfortable. Then, you get in the water, and it burns your eyes. Lakes in Florida are gross too. No, thank you. I will go to a pool or a spring or river.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is why I like the rocky beaches of Oregon and Washington. Muuuuuuuch cooler. Yeah, they're not "sexy" or full of people in tiny swimsuits, but they're lovely and not insanely crowded and there's something beautiful about the rugged coastline.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That sounds really nice!

"Yeah, well, we're going to be here for the next four hours, so find a way to entertain yourselves."

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah that's what it comes to sometimes. One that happened last weekend:

"You don't want to go out to eat with us and grandma? Well everyone else wants to, sometimes you don't get your way because other people's needs and wants have to be considered too.

Also, you're 9 and we can't leave you here alone for 2 hours so go get in the car."

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

except its not fun when this happens your entire life and no one goes out of their way for you

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah that's true. And while I'm sure you're speaking in general terms I will include that the main reason we were with grandma that day is because he and his brother asked that we go to her house lol.

We work hard ensure their wants are being met or if they can't be, then that they at least understand why. It's a damn shame that other parents don't make the same effort with their kids (while also understanding that some families don't have the means to fulfill many of their kids "wants").

Beach > snow

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I feel like this about reading books on the beach. Movies make it look so good. Reality? Bright blinding sun off of bright white pages. Sunglasses too dark to see the words.

2 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Solution: New sunglasses.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I sit under an umbrella. It's lovely.

price of a cup of coffee, brother i drink water!!!! that is the level of poor i am

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"Pfft, nobody goes to the beach. It's too crowded."

2 weeks ago | Likes 50 Dislikes 0

Hah! I say that all the time! "Nobody goes there, it's too crowded!"

2 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

nobody drive in *insert big city name* , there is way too much traffic

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Personally, I found that our family trips to the beach were VASTLY improved after purchasing a portable sun shade canopy like the one pictured below.

It is amazing how having a “home base” for getting out of the sun and keeping our towels off the sand and such greatly improves the beach-going experience for children and parents alike.

I’ve owned one for 9 years and it has survived at least four weeklong trips to the beach with my wife and kids.

What kind of exclusive comics? Does cat dad go down on cat mom?

CountryYeti would never say such a thing...

Listen, CountryYeti got his daughter pregnant. I don't care what he thinks.

Cats don't like water, what were they thinking?

2 weeks ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

*Some* cats don't like water - Tigers seem to enjoy it.

"What do you mean, 'EURGH'? I don't like sand!" ("Sand, sand, sand, sand, sand, sand, sand, sand, lovely saaaaaaaaaand, wonderful sand")

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2 weeks ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I like the fan story where Anakin actually liked sand, and because he always has some in his pockets, he is at peace. Also it makes a great distraction that allowed him to take out Count Dooku without losing his hand.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

This line, and others like it, are what happens when George Lucas writes his own script and nobody is brave enough to tell him “no”

2 weeks ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 0

The sentiment was actually pretty good and well thought-out but the way he was written to express that was absolutely dogwater. So bad that i didnt even really bother to analyze what he was *really* saying until very recently

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yeah. Lucas is a good world-builder, but terrible character writer. (im not talking about Anakin being a whiney traumatized child. thats fine on its own, the dialogue he chose to convey it was just ridiculous)

2 weeks ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Sorry, you comic is great.... but if Im going to pay for content... it won't be pg 13 rated comics.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 25

Hey look it's I already forgot and also nobody cares, moving on.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Hey look, u got so hurt you had to comment and also nobody cares, so move the fuck along already.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

Thanks, your payment preference has been noted.

2 weeks ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 2

Wasn't talking to you, dick breath.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 16

You were addressing the public, cumb dunt, if you wanted only the creator to see it you would've sent a direct message. Nobody cares that you can't masturbate without help, nobody cares that you're unwilling to support something you consider to be great, but you felt they needed to know so we feel you need to know how much of a pathetic clown show your posting habits are. If you don't want to hear from the public don't start a public comment thread. Jackass, lol

2 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Blocked. How about that for private, you slack jawed inbred.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

Edit, since your both a moron AND coward, no I didn't mean it as a DM, I just wasn't talking to you and don't care how you feel about what I said. And no, pointing out the objective fact that you breath smells like you've been fellating A LOT of men is not a threat... just an observation.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 11

You seem very familiar with the smell, enough to identify it easily, which is also just an observation.

2 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

Your mom was very descriptive, when she was recalling her glory hole video days, so...

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 8

I mean, you're the one who knows what dick smells like and identifies it even through the internet.

2 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

It's strong enough that it wafts through the internet and is not mistakable for anything else... your mom was very thorough when she described it from her glory hole days.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 9

You posted this publicly. You probably intended it as a private message.

And was that a compliment? Threat? Promise?

2 weeks ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

You know what I've come to love. Is seeing people who post shit like that idiot did. Then when they get called out on it turn into absolute petulant children. It's a wonderful way to learn the joy of the block capabilities of Imgur. :)

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If I'm going to out myself, it's going to be for being cheap AND a whiny gooner. -You just now.

2 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

The wierdest part of this is... I never said I was buying adult content. You just *assumed* i was saying that because you desperately think about strangers masturbating.

Maybe project less and work on your self esteem.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

Your opinion of me means less than the paper wrapper off of a plastic straw. -also me, just now.

You strike me as someone who doesn't really care what anyone thinks about you, and that's not a good thing.

2 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

You strike me as somebody that thinks *everybody* has to care what you think about things, and that's not valid good thing.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

You got that from that? No, how quick and often they respond makes me think they care an awful lot about what random internet strangers think, and I mean that in the most derogatory manner.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

... because you're too stupid to understand that push notifications are a thing and this app uses them.

Dumb ass.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

If you're mad the bonuses are on patreon, then that sounds like a you problem. You're not entitled to them, so kindly dick off.

2 weeks ago | Likes 137 Dislikes 18

You wouldn't download a cow.

2 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I demand the complainers get a full refund for the free content they paid for!

2 weeks ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Those guys

2 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

From my perspective, they *weren't* patreon exclusive, and now they *are* patreon exclusive, and that's annoying. That taking something that was provided free, and then changing it to require money for it irks me. If the bonus panels had always been patreon exclusive, I wouldn't pay it any mind - like the exclusive comics.

2 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 6

Are you talking about the bonus panels that she sometimes includes with the comics on there? Iirc, the bonus panels have always been patreon exclusive, it’s just that she reposts the comics (with the bonus panel) a year later. It might be only recently that she’s started advertising the patreon for that with an image rather than just text on the bottom, but I can’t begrudge her that, since, clearly, it gets more people to pay attention.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

https://www.litterboxcomics.com/fan-service-bonus/ Here's one posted to the litterboxcomic site, linked from the imgur post. Now, I'm not sure whether that was posted a year earlier on patreon or if it was, as I mentioned, something that wasn't primarily patreon restricted. If they do simply time-gate the bonus panels, then I'll downgrade my irked status to "barely concerned".

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well said.

2 weeks ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 3

Modern subscription hell isn't automatically a good thing just because it's going to some comic artist on the internet, not to mention that patreon ads have become as much of a nuisance on the internet as regular ads, even moreso when Ublock can't block them automatically.

2 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 11

Should add that I don't care about the bonuses, I just wish patreon flat out didn't exist. It's an advertising nuisance that has made people think everything they do on the internet HAS to generate income.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 12

Almost like people love to eat and have a roof over their heads or something. The nerve! They should suffer for the privilage to entertain me!

2 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Ah yes, the stable and reasonablably paying job of "internet comic artist", because nothing is allowed to be a side hobby anymore and every piece of internet content must be monetized somehow. Everything must be subscriptions and consistently scheduled content and ads everywhere no hobbies allowed!!!!

The internet would have been 10x better off if patreon or any equivalent had never existed, I just want the fucking ads gone man.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

And you just hope the servers and the infrastructure pay for themselves, too?

You are allowed to have hobbies, you are allowed to do things for free if you want to. But people, if they are good at something, would love to do that thing rather than some other job, and then not have time for doing what they are good at.

But it is ridiculous to expect others to generate content for you, for free, while you are complaining that they want extra income from that.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I remember someone being snide because one of the artists who kindly posted here had some/most of their stuff in Patreon. People being given free stuff and still complaining.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's double weird to be mad about it because they are pretty easy to find outside of the patreon if you really cared to see them.

2 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

It's $2 if you pay for a month. It's really not that much to ask, again - if you really cared to see the bonus content.

2 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Oh I agree I'm a member myself. Im just saying if youre the kinda loser who gets upset about this kinda thing you must also be stupid as well because its fairly easy to access the content you are bitching about not getting for free for ya know free.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Heck, know what - I wasn't paying on Patreon. I'd occasionally see these comics and have a chuckle. But it was consistent chuckles. Every comic is a little delight.

I think finally my argument convinced me to join up as a member there. I mean, $2 is an amazing deal for the joy these comic have always brought me.
