When I was a kid before 9/11, we crossed the border just to go shopping on the weekend. Even as an adult, I used to go to the US every two or three weekends for many years just to hang out with my friends from my college days (Mcgill U graduate), but now with everything that's going on, I'm scared to go at all. I feel like you guys probably hate me or don't wanna see me.

Just fyi, so far we're not feeling much. I bought 12 eggs yesterday in montreal (in the plateau, where everything is overpriced) and it was just over $5 CAD. A little above normal, but also i usually buy sales, so. Definitely not $17 USD. Also, those of us who follow merkan politics get it. I know 2/3 of the population didn't vote for him, and 80% who did were fooled because they are rock-dumb.

I've been paying about $9 USD for a dozen eggs for the last several years. I'm in Los Angeles, and I buy the brown pasture raised eggs, so all that adds to the price but $5 CAD is super cheap for a dozen eggs. I can't even get the type of eggs I usually buy anymore, I'm assuming it's due to the avian flu outbreak that's been ongoing since last year.

Hell, one such Magat actually came to me two days ago to tell me I was right and she was wrong, and one of the major sticking points for her with the monster she voted for was the she was outraged that he would dare attack Canada.

My bad experience was actually Montreal, spent some of my childhood there in a poor French neighborhood only speaking English..... It was unpleasant. My first hand experience is not a welcoming one. That was many years ago however.
