1st, democrats didn't run on identity politics, it was always a conservative talking point to complain about society and create an ephemeral "other" to make their base feel marginalized and outcast. 2nd, if you voted because "the economy", and aware of the rhetoric that was being espoused by the conservative party/population regarding identity politics, then you've shown you value money over humanity. Over the course of the week, I basically learned the other shift at work is overwhelmingly pro-Trump. I figured some would be because I knew they were conservatives and they'd likely vote Republican even if they didn't actually like him, but I was surprised at some of who fell for the "Biden's Economy" trap. I'm even happier to be on the other shift now than ever.
