Do you have any source for that? Nothing I can find indicates Hitler ever shook his hand, and from what I've read he was never invited to the White House at all.

Re: the first bit, afaik he just got a salute from Hitler which is ofc an incredibly questionable honor. I BELIEVE the urban legend about the personal handshake was a reaction to the opposite urban legend that circulated prior, that Hitler deliberately snubbed the Black competitors.

Even Fox News is showing how Trump's approval ratings have gone into the toilet. So at least some of those people who jerked off over him a few years ago have hit their refractory period. Additionally, his actions to alienate both international allies and his own consituents may have galvanized a small amount of that third who couldn't be arsed to vote last time. Who knows. We can hope.

What matters is getting the nonvoters to vote. The ones that voted for him are not likely to vote against him or his party, no matter how low his approval ratings get. Many of them will disapprove of his actions, but will still vote for him again because they don't like Democrats. Matter of fact, a lot of his initial support was just because they knew it pissed off the rest of us and they would do anything to "own the libs."
