Fuck, I gave up on that 2 years ago. Now I am just producing tracks, and putting them straight to album. I will make money on it later!

I call most of my friends bro, regardless of gender

I was able to suplement my bills pretty nicely when I was playing. Didnt live off it but it paid for plenty of utilities and beer

I was lucky for a long time, bar bands etc made decent living. Weddings/corporate gigs were what paid well.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was bars and such for me. Only did a couple weddings and didnt really care for it. Wasnt really suited for corporate gigs

8 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh I hated the weddings/corporate stuff as far as showing up etc. They just paid really well =) 7 nights a week in bars was pretty much norm

My best gigs were always the local winerys. People that go to winerys are chill as fuck and tip really well

None of those in my area :( Tended to be biker bars/cowboy bars. Had 3 different styles of clothing & gear to show up in depending =)

Don't rely on YouTube for money. If you do get money, good for you, but don't make it your primary source of income.

Getting rich on youtube: step 1) start in 2008

8 years ago | Likes 87 Dislikes 0

I must've missed step 2. Started in 2007. Got 50 bucks over ten years.

If you have the viewer base, why not? Sure, for the actual income patreon is almost a must these days, but if it works...

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well it just have to keep being interesting to watch. It's hard to keep a good quality over time, but possible with a little help from fans

Youtube is trash for income now. They demonitize people SO much now even most prominent folks rely on Merch to keep living and making>

8 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

content. Most people never read Youtubes submission rules, you can get demonitized for saying "fuck" even once, or mentioning sex, drugs,>

8 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

alcohol, politics or religion even EXISTS. It's like the mods are Christians on crack, it's awful and got so much worse after Google

Until you hit like a million

8 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Even the twitch and or patron is required

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

*then

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Even then its a bad idea. Youtube demonitizes videos left and right these days. Unless your name is logan paul, then do what you want.

If you get to that extreme popularity you can kinda just live off your brand if you're remotely able to think though, so it can still work.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

what's the term...."professional social media influencer." what a load of crock.

8 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

I mean considering some of those dudes make several hundred thousand a year.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean hell some of the bigger twitch streamers pull 50 grand a MONTH.

8 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Not counting donations, just subscribers

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*biggest. There's only a handful that actually make that much.

8 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, not everyone is qt pulling $2M annually. Granted that's not all just Twitch, but I wish I could make that much sitting in my PJs
