Also, lot of langue as it is right now infers that "human" is male or female, and that some roles are male only or female only (because masculine or feminine signalling words are in the name of the role, like fireman). It seems very unfair to humanity that people have to do mental gymnastics to unlearn lifelong assumptions about different roles in society that happen to have gendered names. Would more young people think they could be firefighters if the word "fireman" never existed?

To me, seems like a LOT of work and bending over backwards has to be done by politics, media, infrastructure, whatever...just to disadvantage "such a small portion of society." Because a lot of nonbinary, intersex, and trans people find the term triggering as it's colloquially almost exclusively used to refer to female breasts (for humans, anyway). So referring to it as chestfeeding just alleviates some unnecessary discomfort. I, as a trans man, find several words very uncomfortable despite them accurately referring to parts I physically have. 'Breasts' isn't one of them for me, but I am not all trans people.

I still consider women who don't menstruate to be women. Color me confused, but why are we splitting hairs over this? To me, terms like "people who menstruate" are applicable in their appropriate contexts (medical distinction, for example), but aren't a catch-all term. "Women" is a catch-all term for people of that gender identity. Trying to present these phrases and terms as "woke" just makes the people pushing the "anti-woke" agenda sound absolutely imbecilic.

I agreed with u initially, but thought about it longer n realized that trans men can also menstruate (increasing body dysmorphia). There r also women and girls who don't menstruate such as little girls, post menopausal, anyone who's had a hysterectomy, or anyone with medical issues. "People who menstruate" is the single most accurate term for... well, people who menstruate. There is no other term that is as accurate as that. And when dealing with any bureaucratic or legal process, the more accurate a term is, the better. Ambiguity creates loopholes. That's all there is to it, really. And your personal freedom of speech doesn't apply if you work for the government and are speaking on the government's behalf. That's true for any employer. It's a dangerous precedent, and a dangerous influence, to be sure. But it has nothing to do with 1A directly.
