He knew exactly where he needed to be, and wasn't concerned with where the defenders where. He was going to be where he needed to be.

Gabriel wins most of their duels. The handful of times Haaland does come out on top are the ones that get applauded. Must be rough being a defender, you have to shut someone down the whole game, but as a striker, you only need to win some.

Bro is responsible for some of the craziest goals I've ever seen!

Cue the theme from Jaws.

He knows it’ll take take two or more defenders to cover him so he just trolls them

The increasing frequency of the head swivel as he's checking his position relative to ball and goal... He was fully engaged the whole time.

Like someone put it “Haaland won the genetic lottery when it comes to physique and game. But look at his goofy antics after, and the ackward, shy camera face, he’s just a kid at heart.

Ummm.. that's his job. Messi is rated as the "Least running teammate" while simultaneously also ranked as "The guy who is involved in all the critical plays"

Thinking: I know I came here for a reason, how much did...just a second...that round thing, doesn't it belong in the net?

You can see the back of the net moving because it hit the net and bounced out

Well fuck me. I just found out my cousin and his dad were past Presidents of the Norway football team.

Haaland

They kept calling him the terminator on telemundo which was pretty funny. Kind like when they go from speaking really fast Spanish saying the players names as the ball moves around, Haaland, Oliguard, Sorlough, and then Oscar-Bob gets the ball and it makes me chuckle every time.

I've been really enjoying watching games on Telemundo. The enthusiasm is the best.

That is a keen stealth roll! Easily a 19 on the die with a +6 modifier.

I mean it looks like they just went past him, without tracing his movements. Might be a +16 modifer.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes what he said

Lucky roll or just a great modifier? I don't follow the barbarian team enough to know.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it's a given that he has proficiency

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Great modifier. There are some games where he will touch the ball maybe 10 times and will have 2 goals. He lurks very well for a guy his size. Spends most his time just kind of drifting around, looking for space that might get the ball played into it, and then when it does he is normally the first to react and by that point is often way too late.

Economy of effort.

maybe thats just disguise of not being a threat

THIS 100%. He moves quickly when he *needs* to, and doesn't waste energy running or jogging around. Messi does the same thing, he spends 90% of the match just walking. Why not? Run when you need to, save the energy. People that don't understand this have never played a sport.

Played the sport, soccer requires more running than most other sports
