Depends. Some sit around in standby mode for days where as others only fly around for a few minutes. The speed is the main factor and if they land and go into sleep mode then they can last for a very long time.
I only ever flew freestyle qauds, pretty sure having more motors means you have some redundancy and can control descent with more. Think I've seen that as a feature for "cinelifters" that carry expensive cameras and/or transmitters.
The problems it the attached explosive, knocking it down before it gets to you is the best solution. But that's easier said then done considering the easier it is to hit the moving quad, the closer you are to the boom.
I am by no means an expert but that does not look like a suicide drone, nor does it look like its carrying a bomb like a bomber drone. Either its a bomber drone that already dropped its payload or its a surveilance drone. The reason its hovering right there might also be because its hijacked or jammed. Hard to say.
Yeah, if it's a surveillance drone, it already did its job. The other side might not want to fly it back and showing Ukrainians exactly where they are.
