Plus Hunter Biden agreeing to testify but only if public, is calling the GOP out on their bullshit.

Geesh what Repubs will do for attention.

I have a DeSatan fan on twitter absolutely furious that I called that debate a Desantis massacre. Fox NEws has assured them repeatedly Sedantis won and Newsom just blubbered and cried the whole time. However, they refuse to watch the debate, claiming it has been AI altered. Even on Fox's own site. Derp state or some shit.

I'm really surprised that more Imgurians haven't picked up on this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-67560516

Don’t forget trumps own lawyer testifying that she told him that hiding documents would constitute a crime, and he acknowledged it.

This week was indeed great. Can't wait for death of musk, Trump and McConnell. If that happened in the same week I'd buy every lottery ticket I could find.

Do not forget pootin !

Sadly the war criminal lived 100 years in comfort, the gag order won't work, DeSantis still has years to fuck over Florida, Moms of Liberty will barely take a hit, and Santos should have been expelled months ago or never elected at all. We're grasping at straws here. Sorry. I'm pissy this morning I guess.

2 years ago | Likes 166 Dislikes 14

The real dystopian situation is in the comments, unfortunately.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Santos stayed in office as long as he did pending an investigation. Democrats didn't want to set a precedent of expelling members without an investigation.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Pessimism kills progress. Take the wins and push for more. These things don't change with everyone sitting there being apathetic. No quicker way to kill momentum than to act like it isn't useful.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Lots to still be pissy about.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

you are absolutely right so no need to apologize. none of this stuff is actually that impactful.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

DeSantis is term limited so only has a couple more years. after his presidential bid fizzles out i could totally see him pulling a Palin honestly. some claptrap about 'already accomplishing what i needed to do for Florida' and maybe some 'spend time with family' or 'the mainstream media attacks on me are keeping Florida from moving forward' blah blah blah

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're right that these are small victories at best, but if you don't feel good about small victories you'll never achieve larger ones.

2 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Saying Desantis got smoked by Newsome is kinda dumb. Nobody really won that debate. No minds were changed.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

So, are they going to do something about San Francisco? It is a literal crime shit hole

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 14

Negative points, days old account...nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Ok so.... You have no solutions, but you love to lick that boot. How sad. Maybe someday you'll think for yourself, look outside of the Internet, see how bad it is out there and finally wake up. Or you'll get knifed by a homeless guy first, idc

Venting online is not a substitution for therapy.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yep. Debates are theater these days, nothing more.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Santos was a pathological lying crook whose likely to be found to be an embezzling thief. The only surprise was so many GQP voting him out

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

The one thing the GOP doesn't stand for is campaign finance laws...or it use to be that way. They are good with stealing money but not stealing from each other.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He stole money from a congressman and his mother. You're supposed to take *poor* people's money.

tbh, prisons should be safer and not a place for extrajudicial punishment and also that guy deserves every second of his prison sentence.

Can I ask a fully sincere question? Do you support the death penalty? I ask because I do, and it's a position that the Left and I have never quite agreed on. Rehabilitation often seems like a fool's goal.

I think the death penalty is right for sadistic murderers, such as Chauvin. And it seems like the entire Left wants the mother fucker dead, and yet I never see anyone just support the death penalty. I don't get it, so I'd like to hear more perspectives.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i think the death penalty is an easy-out. i'd like them to sit and think about it for decades and decades knowing they'll never go outside as a free person ever again. that seems much worse than sitting around a few years and 'later gators!' not to mention the death penalty costs more than imprisonment. and most the methods to carry out the sentence seem purposefully cruel and sadistic even if they claim otherwise. then the big one : maybe the conviction was *wrong*. then who is the murderer?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

All fair points I could raise my own beliefs against, but frankly I'm just happy to have what seems to be a genuine response. I shan't DebateLord against you.

Though, I ought to ask: provided that the Death Penalty was made to cost about as much as normal imprisonment, and provided you knew they were guilty beyond a shadow of the doubt (such as in this case), would you still prefer to just put them in a normal prison and hope they die by... running into a shiv?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i don't think people should be shivved or raped in prison either. also not sure on the numbers of death row inmates that have been killed by other prisoners vs. the state but i bet it isn't a significant number. the assorted hypotheticals raised don't really matter since they are hypothetical and we are talking about real people in the real world.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

for instance. this makes killing of other death row inmates seem exceptionally rare : https://www.cbsnews.com/news/san-quentin-prison-california-one-condemned-inmate-kills-another-in-rare-death-row-slaying-2018-10-06/

If he was convicted why continue using "allegedly"? Seems like that doesn't fit anymore post conviction

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

This is the kind of thing the media does to make people seem more like decent people. They lie. They manipulate words in such a way that people they want to cater towards are allowed to use them to present misinformation. Something like "allegedly convicted" is top notch misinformation propaganda. At any point in time, people can "forget" or "misunderstand" the term, and claim "allegedly" to outright lie. Then spread that lie. Then suddenly, a pedophile is not a pedophile to the magats.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

If someone presented this idea in a writing room for a TV drama, it would get dismissed as being too unbelievable.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Donald Trump was told to shut up. Again. How long do you think he'll last before the compulsion to shout his every thought to the world overcomes him?

2 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

He started attacking the Judge's wife after the order was reinstated, so not long at all.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Seriously? Off to Google I go, yet again.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

What a fucking moron. I can kind of see where this will end.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

With him actually, physically gagged to prevent him from destroying the work his lawyers are trying to do?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Spending a little time in jail for political theater purposes, honestly. Violations = penalties, and judge isn't going to keep nickle-and-diming Trump with meaningless fines that he ignores

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Depends on how much time he wants to spend in a jail cell for it. Pretty sure he's on Engoron's last nerve. And he's not one of Trump's constituency.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm 85% sure he violated the order within minutes of returning to his residence.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's like he pissed off a Greek god and got a really creative curse. "Your life will be just great as long as you keep your big fat mouth shut, but you won't be able to do it."

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Makes sense. He’s never been able to last long.

*Homophobic Moms of Liberty founder gets caught in bisexual throuple AND husband accused of rape by the third partner while the wife was away.

Are we sure this isn’t just Onision in disguise?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Oh wow. I was wondering how the rape thing worked with a throuple. That clears it up. Yikes.

"The laws apply to thee but not to me."

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

THANK YOU! Already sick to death of everyone and the media having the rapist male as a blurb or ignored completely but shouting from the rooftops about the hateful woman's consensual (she's not accused of anything by the victim) sex life. Defending or minimizing men's crimes as the status quo again.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We all know that’s not the type of gay they have an issue with.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Bingo

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

also kinda weird they don't seem to have nearly as big an issue with transmen it seems? maybe i have just missed it but seems the trans hate always seems to be with transwomen.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the rape accusation involves an actual crime being alleged, where the three-way relationship just shows them to be hypocritical assholes, and we always knew the latter.

Both are worth pointing out, but one is only a problem because of their positions on calling everyone else “deviants”, not because of the act itself.

2 years ago | Likes 129 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also if her husband is a rapist, I don't see how that reflects on her. Unless something comes out that shows she knew and was ok with it.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

As of now, it appears that the fact that Bridget *wasn’t* present for one of the sexual encounters is part of the accusation (along with the alcohol et al)

“On the day of the alleged assault, the woman had initially agreed to meet because she thought Bridget Ziegler would be joining them. She canceled when she learned Bridget Ziegler wouldn’t be there, saying she had only agreed to the encounter because she wanted her there.”

“You didn’t bring her and then you did that to me,” she wrote.”

What is a throuple for God's sakes. Is it a new thing or just someone who wants to be cute and make a cute name.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

I was in one 22 years ago so it ain't new.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Three + Couple = Throuple. It's not a new thing.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Well I'll be frank I didn't expect Santos to finally fly. Look at that, isn't it marvelous. Good work US, keep it going.

2 years ago | Likes 238 Dislikes 0

The thing that kind of disappoints me is that the easiest GOP to expel are typically "outsider" to them anyway (gay, POC, etc) so while I'm happy there's one less liar it doesn't really impress me as much as it would if they ever managed to oust one of their Good Ol Boys.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hi frank.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wish there was a tradition for such an old and seldom used punishment, something non lethal like defenestration from the 2nd floor or being forced to run a gauntlet of geriatric senators with paddles.

2 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

I always liked the idea of banishment. You had power here, but now you are no longer welcome here. Especially if we can watch dogs chase the banished out.

He committed the only cardinal sin of being a republican. He fucked with their money.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I'm not in his former district but I'm next to it. Proud of my state for taking care of business there.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I moved from the district just south into his district right before the election. I was disgusted that he won, and I absolutely love my old rep Grace Meng. She's super cool, always has time for you and takes the train like the rest of us. I run in to her on my way to work a few times a month. We need more people in government like her.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Absolutely. I'm in the 2nd, just sucked coming into a red majority district from where I lived in Brooklyn

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is he actually removed from Congress or is this just another "impeachment"?

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

They changed the locks on his office last night and took his name off the door. Gone.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

He got the boot. Didn't even walk out of the building before all his shit started being taken out of his office.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He walked out before the gavel signaled end of vote.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He's OUT

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I think the vote was to expel him. I would imagine a special election in his district needs to happen now.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

And I wonder if his prior district will vote republican again.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it’ll be scheduled for Feb 2nd
