I started purging today, that’s 5 garbage bags of clothes to donate. I feel like I’m finally getting organized.

I'm moving in a few months and have been doing the same. So much donated or put on freecycle. Feels sooooo good to get it out.

Oh crap, that reminds me that I have some bags of clothes in my trunk from like... October? Maybe earlier? Anyway yeah, goodwill.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I’ve been trying to do this for the past year. You might have motivated me to start.

How much for the gee-tar?

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

I had 15 bags of clothes I donated when I moved out of state. Felt. So. Good.

I have 3 boxes of clothes that satin my garage for months. Put in trunk today, meant to drop them off somewhere- got home.. still.in.trunk!

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

My donation bin is right outside my building! Except.. when I donate stuff that isn't closed.. yes it sits in the trunk for months.

6 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Same here. Bags expended 4 month in the living room waiting to be donated, though

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

“The boxes were so heavy I couldn’t even say what was in them. I was like, ‘This one’s shirts! I got a bunch of shirts! Take ’em away!’l

Good for you. I need to do that this weekend as well. I’ll post a picture (hopefully)

Do it.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I did! Even posted about it.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hell yeah! Grats dude. I recommend not Goodwill.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dude, we are doing the same thing. 6 bags and 3 tubs so far.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fun tip: take them to shelters and/or local safe houses. It might be their only change of clothes.

I have thrown away enoigh junk to fill a dumpster that can hold 8 tons twice now and there is still more. Don’t hoard kids.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Only gather what you are able to eat. Freezers are expensive and they get smelly in closets.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, don't hoard kids. But put them somewhere a bit more comfortable than a dumpster. They can be pretty cold for kids...

"Purging" might not exactly be the best word.

Heyyyy donate to your local nursing home !

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm going to donate to the donation bin right outside my building.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You and 300 other people today at work.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hey! Me too. I bagged up 5 bags, plus a plastic tote. Yay, purge!

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good job! I did that myself for NewYears, my resolution is to live less cluttered. Threw away two bags, donated two bags, closet still full.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Feels great. Excellent job @op!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good for you! I rearranged my kitchen yesterday. I kinda forgot where stuff is but it’s clean and organized. Yay us$

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My SO and I did this today too!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There’s a bin for a non-profit right outside my building so i put it all in the bin.

Canada, eh.

Wow. Either you've got no clothes now or your wardrobe is MASSIVE.

6 years ago | Likes 438 Dislikes 0

Donate the clothes to H&M. They’ll give you a 10% coupon for each bag and they recycle the clothes.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I didnt really think I had much clothing but when I moved, I donated probably doing the same amount. Had a ton of old shit in the closet

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I can't speak for op, but I know from personal experience, shopping for absolutely nothing is always my go-to to cheer myself up

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I was skinny before, then i got super fat then i got not as fat but not skinny yet, I'm just getting rid of extras.

6 years ago | Likes 294 Dislikes 0

Carrying all that is good exercise right? No really I wouldn't know? Keep doing good OP

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hey good for you OP!!

6 years ago | Likes 53 Dislikes 0

Oh God yes, I did this. And I'm always like "What if i change again". I will purge this year, no matter what size i end up.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same. After two kids and so much weight change I had clothes in sizes 8-20! I purged the bigger stuff in a no going back move.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Bit of a rollercoaster!

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Life.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is bigger, bigger than you and you are not me.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll be there soon hopefully. But I don't have much. Lol

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have that problem @OP. My waistline hovers between two different sizes so I need to keep jeans in both!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I keep my skinny clothes and avoid buying clothes to try and motivate myself to be less fat

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I did keep all my skinny panties because I had just bought a whole bunch of new ones before I got fat. So we wait.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You could always sell them online; there must be a market, catering for the knicker sniffer.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I looked into it. The market is over saturated and it was too much effort.

I have a favorite style of shorts that isn't made anymore, I have four pairs of it in great condition in a smaller size I used to fit.
