Boyfriend felt like experimenting: broke them down and used them as "breading" for schnitzel. The result was dubbed "fried sheep". :-D

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

But did it taste good??

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

The taste was ok but the texture was a bit scratchy/not the most pleasent to chew. So we made it just a few times for the funny look.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Haha ok. I like to do experimental things in the kitchen like that, too. Just wondering :)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I like how it goes "aaaaahhh noooo" and contracts and then goes "wait changed my mind" *BWOOF*

My hair actually gets really flat when it's humid. It's sadly not very attractive

When it's humid, someone comes and deep fries your hair? That's odd.

That's an interesting URL. 4Eck (Viereck) is the German word for a tetragon. And in the first picture that rabbit looks kinda tetragonal.

Coincidence? I think not.

Pretty sure those aren't vermicelli noodles. Aren't they rice noodles? Or something like that?

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 5

That is vermicelli.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Rice vermicelli are thin rice noodles. They are especially good with shredded veggies, chicken and sesame dressing, and now I want some.

9 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

Ooh, don't forget the mushrooms and curry powder!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Vermicelli" refers to the caliber of the noodle, but you are correct that they are made from rice.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Fun fact: taco bell cinnamon twists are just fried spiral noodles.

9 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 10

As a former taco bell employee i can confirm. They are fried noodles tossed in a bag of sugar and cinnamon

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yup, just made with rice starch instead of wheat flour. They look like sorta pale rotini.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

they arent noodles. its dough. its got yeast. it rises.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

They're spiral noodles. Like regular ass noodles man. Thrown in the deep fryer for like 15 seconds. I worked there for 3 years

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

No... they're made from puffed corn

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

Used to work there. Its definitely spiral noodles. Interesting to watch them fry.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yo i worked there for 3 years, wanna bet?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sure. I just Googled it

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

Google all you want dude you're wrong.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Neat. Wanna provide proof?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

No they aren't. Don't believe everything you read on the internet.

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 7

Yes they are. I spent 3 years there making them.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Pasta is made of wheat. Cinnamon twists are rice+corn+wheat. Similar, but not the same as regular pasta. Fried regular pasta doesn't puff.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

Having bought regular spiral noodles and done it at home for friends, yes, yes it does. Pasta isn't only wheat.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I thought they were styrofoam with cinnamon sugar on top.

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

LOL same

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should I believe you?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Good advice but the dude is right. I used to work there. It was the most surprising thing I discovered working there.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Can also confirm. I too worked there and had to make them every morning!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pasta is made of wheat. Cinnamon twists are rice+corn+wheat. Similar, but not the same as regular pasta. Fried regular pasta doesn't puff.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

What about rice pasta?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Correct but it's still pasta, mate. No point of arguing semantics though. Its just a surprising revelation

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

But when you say that it's spiral pasta, people think they can go to the store and buy rotini and fry it into cinnamon twists. They can't.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 6

Jesus, cut this guy some slack.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not necessarily. In Italy we make Vermicelli out of the same grain we use to make pasta. In Asia though, they make "Vermicelli" 1/?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Or as they call them in India and pakistan "seviyan", "shevaya" in marathi, "sev" in gujarati, "shavige" in Kannada 2/?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

sevalu or semiya in Telugu, and semiya in Tamal and Malayalam. These noodles are made out of pasta and Vermicelli is a loanword from 3/?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Italian, though the noodles in Asia are made of rice. And Vermicelli just means worm but with a suffix which gives it an affectious tone 4/4

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not a given. Vermicelli is simply the name of the pasta shape.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Vermicelli is a traditional type of pasta round in section similar to spaghetti. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vermicelli

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why are people down voting a simple reply that is just asking a question, God you are mean.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Rice vermicelli. "Vermicelli' refers to the caliber of the noodle, though it is defined differently in different places.

9 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 0

Half the italian I know is pasta shapes. Little worms! Sphagetti is string I think, farfalle is obvs bow ties. Penne is feathers?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They say the Italians have 100 words for noodle but none for happiness. *wipes tear*
