Yes, the only three possible answers to “Can I have a hug?”: Yes please, [THREAT DETECTED], and “No thank you I’d rather not.”

Not threat detected, more like "its wrasslin time"

1.) I love you human, you're the best human
2.) PLAY!? You wouldn't be on the floor if you didn't want to PLAY
3.) Please. Stop. You're embarrassing us.

Yeah. Bear just seems like that friend that can't show physical affection in a non-violent way, but really does love you. He grabs and wrestles you because he doesn't know how to just, you know, ask for a hug.

Junior is that kid who finds hugs from his parents embarrassing.

Dobies are awesome. We're getting one soon, I cannot wait!

My inlaws had one for a while. Big 80lb lap dog. So sweet and patient with my brother-in-law's baby. That kid would pull on her ears and she didn't so much as growl.

THE BEST. Obviously you know about training and stuff if you're getting one but they are so smart it's scarrrry. Gracie, my last one, had "good night" down to picking up her toys and closing the chest, getting her dog bed out, getting her blanket out, and tucking herself in lol.

Awesome and congrats!!!

Yay! Only piece of advice i can give you, be strict. No is no. And will stay no. Other than that they are great dogs! Be warned they are very smart! I learned to keylock my doors bc they f open it xD

I have only two dogs, and they are like Knox and Bear. One passively lets me hug her and just leans her head against my chest, waiting for a kiss. The other jumps on me, wraps her arms around my shoulders, and kisses me on the cheeks.

same with my cats. one lets me pick him up like a baby. the other one would rather I don't do it but she kinda trusts me but at the same time not

Aww knox is such a big sap I love it. This is just like the personalities of my kids bruh. They're all different and you gotta show them love in different ways. But its crazy animals are like that too.

None of my animals understand how to snuggle properly 😭 all very affectionate in their way tho

I love chocolate Dobes... especially Knox.

For anyone who claims animals don't have personalities and minds of their own. Got the snuggler, the pusher/fighter, and the "stay tuned to find out" (still learning). Wonder if those correspond to human birth order claims at all. Like being the eldest or youngest in a family.
