I think the general idea is that braiding down the grass makes for a pretty comfy place to sit when you’re short of a blanket to sit on.
Then afterwards the grass works itself loose and is none the worse in the end.

Just mow your lawn.

A: this is quite clearly not a lawn.
B: it's better for the biodiversity, that you don't mow it.

1. Anything is a lawn if you mow it.
2. In your overly-serious opinion, how good is braiding a field for biodiversity?

Pretty good, probably. Could potentially create shelter for a lot of little critters

B might depend on the type of grass. Mowing prairie grass is better than nothing if you’re not allowed to burn, and a lot of prairie natives need to be disturbed in some kind of way to keep growing.
Not sure if that applies to the video or not, but 🤷🏻‍♀️

Freshly stolen from imgur 20 minutes ago

Careful. I was repeatedly called out and downvoted for posting the same sentiment recently. *shrug* Used to be a thing here to not repost and point farm. I dunno.

Yeah, it's stupid. It would be trivial and reasonably cheap to detect "Same picture made public within the last 24 hours" but no one cares about us peons in usersub.

Until you call it out and the gatekeeping by other users begins! I get it, it is a “free” social media site that scrapes my data for revenue and maximizes profits by engagement. Just sucks.
