So infuriating. I'm 34, but I'm lumped in to this category.

Any generation below gen x is a millenial apparently

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I know exactly who the Mills are, they're the ones taking credit away from GenX for the past 2 decades.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I hate generational tags but imgur has taught me that anyone who explicitly identifies as 'millenial' probably really likes being a victim.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can we finally stop separating each other and realize how it's not only "millennials" or Gen X who is at fault.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There are complete idiots in every single generation.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am a millenial who is on Spring Break. But, as a millenial, I never did anything before quarantine anyway so...

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 6

If any WHO representative actually used the word Millenial in their address I’ll eat all the dips in my cubby

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The youngest millennials are like 20 or 21. So if there are any millennials out right now, it is from the tail end.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm 23 and I am also infuriated by those brain dead monkeys

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It has nothing to do with age but with intelligence, wisdom and God damn common sense.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People also keep talking about 40-something year old white dude when discussing Boomers. People don't like change and hate is ignorant.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

From what I've seen a lot of boomers are not taking it seriously. I walked past a bar yesterday and it was filled with people in their 60s+.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Can everyone stop using generational labels as the keystone of news stories? It's lazy reporting and is almost never accurate.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I'm a millennial and I've been working this whole time. I spend my days terrified of the boomers who act like nothing is wrong/different.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It absolutely does my fucking nut in that so many boomers think "millennials" are in their early 20s or even teen years.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Plenty of teens are the *kids* of older millennials.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

“Millennial” is no longer the name of a generation, but the name of a bogeyman.

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

I take The Time as seriously as The Onion anyways...

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Im early (late? Im 22) Gen Z and even im telling people not to go out. Maybe its less a generational issue and more a "those idiots" issue.

6 years ago | Likes 59 Dislikes 1

I'm a Gen Z and I'm only going out to get food. But that's what I did before

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

yup, i was in high school during the tide pod/ice cream licking thing. no on thinks these people are smart

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's not only "those idiots", it's "those idiots who do stupid things for likes of random strangers on the internet".

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's almost as if grouping people into generations has little to no value...

6 years ago | Likes 42 Dislikes 1

Grouping people into any category rarely has any true value. "The gays" don't have an agenda. "The blacks" aren't all out committing a crime

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But all Karens must speak to the manager

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's the exception that proves the rule.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Millennial" just means "young person" to them. You're sadly on the hook for all new things, forever.

6 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

It's like how the nintendo to them was everything from a gameboy to a playstation.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Sometimes, when he's on a laptop using Quicken or something, I tell my 60 year old father to get off the Nintendo.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You mean, it's the same like Millennials calling everyone a boomer who is older than them? That's some profound insight you got there, mate.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

Salty.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

1. Most millennials don't do that. 2. I've been called a boomer. 3. Technically, I'm a millennial. 3. I'm 36. At what point am I an adult?

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

This.is.how.i.feel.... but I don't want to. When I see people blanket blame a generation, they're morons. Occasionally 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I call it Boomer disease.... Hypocrite? Maybe. 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Fuck people who generalize huge groups of people thru monikers and snappy sounding names. Use your brain and stop blaming others.

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

That's something a gen x would say

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Generations are completely made and arbitrary. I have no idea why they became popular but try not to get stressed. Remember, it's made up so

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't let it define you

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The concept can be useful in sociology, but it's not supposed to be this astrology type bullshit some think it is.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Enough with this stupid ass Gen Z Millenials Boomer labeling Shit..Stop with the labels People.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

right, you know most of those people hoarding supplies were millennials and gen X, but we’re not gonna say that are we?

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

The U.S. PIRG defines millennials to be born between 1983-2000. So they aren’t all millennials, but there’s definitely plenty there.

6 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 17

1981 to 1996. Yes I get it, there's different definitions but they're fucking wrong. The window I've adopted will henceforth be the only one

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

If you're too young to remember 9/11 in context and the world before it, or old enough you were an adult come internet age... Nope

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think that anyone born 95 to 00 is free to choose if they are millennial or zoomer. Every damn source says the cutoff is different

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The defining trait is remembering a pre 9/11 world and then into a recession as you mature. 2000 babies weren't there

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I remember 9/11 but barely. I'm a 98

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think we can claim X-ennials. We're on the cusp of the generations. So, there's that.

6 years ago | Likes 94 Dislikes 10

Analog childhood and digital adulthood. ?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's almost like generations are arbitrary bullshit that don't actually exist

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No way. This is a perfect apportunity for... XMen gen.

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

X-Mennials

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Xennials are almost 40 yo

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

I'm closer to 40 than 20.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok I'm almost 26 I'm on the line for gen z and millennial. Those kids on spring break are 100% zoomers.

6 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

I feel that, all my friends are older and there's a clear divide between me and my younger sister.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You are correct.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Early zoomer here, some of us, myself included, have already graduated college. I'd appreciate if we could start pointing to individual 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cunts instead of claiming whole generations, because I've been called both a millenial and a zoomer and I feel like neither

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also 18-21 year olds have always been stupid. Don't make this a generation thing, you old jerks.

6 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 7

Yeah, the human brain is programmed to try the dumbest shit it can think of at that age.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, it's a toss-up who's more stupid - 2020 Spring Breakers or those who aren't millionaires but still vote Republican.

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Fair point.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We are taking it very serious because we remember how bad we were at the Oregon trail

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was ficking amazing at that game; speak for yourself.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So so bad

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That’s a Gen X joke, dude. You have generational confusion.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 13

That’s also a millennial joke. We played it in school too.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I was born in '80 I'm not sure if I'm a lazy gen x or love avacados like a millenial

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same for 78-82. Have nothing in common with GenX or Millennial. But on the plus side I get most of the pop culture memes from the 90s.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s often class based in that range. I was born 78, but lived dirt poor so had the toys and experiences of someone born in 1972-1975.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I grew up dirt poor but was in to video games and computers and went to school for them. So still neither.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My wife was born 1979 but was well-off. Always had cutting edge tech, so she lived like someone born in 1982-1985.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Growing up in the '90s, Oregon Trail was the most popular game played on computers at my school!

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Anyone else have the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" game on the school computers in middle school?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Also: TIL Oregon trail was re-released for pc as recently as 2011!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

covid-19... dysentery... same thing!

6 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

I'll have you know cholera (and drowning in rivers) was more deadly for me. Who the hell actually TESTS water anyway?

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I mean, COVID is *kinda* like your lungs shitting themselves to death

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I am the most fun at parties. The mortality rate for untreated dysentery is like 4% so it's not far off!

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You have died of dissing Terry!!!

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Came here to say literally this.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I could.never diss terry crewz

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I have no idea how to properly Ford a river

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

no one can afford a river. because nobody owns the water, its god's water.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Easy. You don't. You caulk the wagon and float across it.

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well, not with a Ford, that's for sure.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't use a Ford. Try driving your Chevy to the levy.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

drive it to the levy, not in the levy.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But what if it's dry?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

get them muddin tires on and ye-haw till the cows come home.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

U fookin what m8?

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My Gen z is at home and refuses to leave unless it's to go to my Mom's house because I didn't raise an idiot.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hey not all of us! I'm being the perfect citizen and laying in bed all day watching TV and getting fat for the apocalypse

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

There is a stigma in a lot (not all) of the older generations that think anyone younger than them are millennials. Its a bummer

6 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Kinda like how all old people are boomers. Oldest boomers are 74. Older than that is silent generation

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's about time they got their own fun nickname, like I dunno, Virals or something. "Ugh, the Virals are at it again." That feels right.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

I would like to note as a Gen Z represent, that I finished my finals last night and am peacefully in quarantine now.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Watcha studying?

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm working towards an AA in business. It's not required to be a managing broker, but I believe it will seriously help me in my endeavor. 1/

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Plus, I'm "technically" still in highschool, so why not take advantage of free, running start payed, collegiate education?!

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

THANK YOU! Tide pod eating mfers. Clearly we know they want to die

6 years ago | Likes 388 Dislikes 3

I'm not like them

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Of course we want to die. We were the generation raised on social media so our outlook on people and life it fucked and our education is f'd

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

As a zoomer, I can vouch that we welcome the sweet release of death, and are excited that this one comes with cleaner air and free elephants

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Damn, you guys are becoming boomers real fast

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Except for us Gen Z's that are in university just hoping to graduate and find a job to pay off debt.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Or the ones who do want to die but we don't want to cause other people to die

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

YA YEET

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Can confirm, I’m still going outside so I can die, but I’m staying away from people so they don’t have to

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

All of their memes are always about suicide, they're a weird bunch.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

YEETY BRETTY GIVE ME THE QUICK DEATH

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We kinda had to turn into crotchety grandparents quickly for various reasons. And this whole situation is just the cherry on top.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Gen Z here. Fuck those guys. I don’t associate with them at all.

6 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Sorry man guilty by association. Its the law.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also my mom is high risk and I still live with her, I don’t want anything happening to her. I love her.

6 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Well thats rather inhumane of you. Loving your mother.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

IKR what an asshole I am? (In all seriousness the last thing o want is something bad happening to her. I’m not working cause of this/1

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even tho I’m ‘essential’ I work at staples. They said they can make do without me. I’m glad they understood

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What a simp! (THIS IS A JOKE. I AM MAKING A JOKE.)

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah I’m just an asshole. ? (I gotchu)

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

95-99% of Zoomers can get coronavirus and not even need hospitalization. I'm not saying that Zoomers shouldnt care, but it's not awful.

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

I don't think I'd risk 3% chance of hospitalization to get drunk. I'd be safer skiing while hammered than getting the virus.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not awful for them could be fatal to another.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah but how many vulnerable people can they spread it to before they show symptoms?! It is terrible!

6 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Read my other comments.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Millennials saying Zoomers are all on Spring Break is the same as Boomers saying Millennials are lazy. 2/3

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

zoomers getting through college or high school, are working at grocery stores etc. They may prevent many CRUCIAL services from shutting down

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah seriously. We should be thanking them because they are a lot healthier and most don't have kids to worry about.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Not all zoomers are on spring break but pretty much everyone on spring break is a zoomer.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The generation as a whole doesn't need to take the blame, generations are a meaningless label anyway

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They're partying, meanwhile my Boomer in-laws think this is a Democratic hoax & are going out every chance they get. Feels like Gen-X, (1/2)

6 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 1

Hopefully they leave you some inheritance.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

(2/2) my generation, and Millennials, my wife's, are the only ones taking this seriously.

6 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

I mean, you can't expect teenagers to take it too seriously. Kids have always been some stupid shitheads

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Millenials saying Zoomers are partying is the same as Boomers calling Millenials lazy. Zoomers are the least vulnerable group rn. 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 8

Their lack of care, or "partying", is probably a big factor in what's keeping grocery stores etc. operating rn. AKA crucial services. 2/2

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 6

Also keeping the virus spreading

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hoax or not...obviously people are actually getting very sick, and people need to learn to wash their hands again. This is a chance to 1/

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

do a reset. To stop the rat-race and breathe. The only people NOT taking advantage of that are the 'Essential' employees and those who 2/

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

haven't joined the rat-race yet.3/3

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm in the weird 5 year generation between millennials and gen-z (like 95 - 2000) and most of us are taking this seriously. Gen-z has >>

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

We’re right at that age we got the AIDS scare. I think that has something to do with it.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

>> all their schools shutdown so they really don't have a choice. I think the media is just lumping everyone not taking this seriously >>

6 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

>> into one generation so that it's easier to be outraged by them

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

That's Gen Z mate lol, accept your fate with the tide-pod eaters

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

On the news the other day they categorized young people as “18-49,” i think they’re just trying to push blame on an easy target

6 years ago | Likes 293 Dislikes 1

TIL I'm a young people.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am 30 and don’t feel young at all.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's an established fact that putting "Millenial" in the headline leads to more clicks. Clickbait-101.

6 years ago | Likes 73 Dislikes 0

Is it us that click more on them when they write "Millenial" in the headline or boomers I wonder.

6 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Probably a healthy mix of both. Same way putting Apple in the title of anything tech-related gets more b/c both Apple haters & lovers click,

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Good to know I'm still young

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I am A-OK with this, as it means I will still be a young person for much longer than I had previously thought.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m just happy to learn that I am still young even though I’m in my 40s

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Gen X seems to get off the hook for everything lol

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That covers X, Millennial, and Z in one fell swoop. Amazing.

6 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

I have a feeling the "expected top end" is about to get a bit lower is the next couple months

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Probably will, yeah. Unfortunately...

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Man I'll probably die at 75 or 80. I don't know if I even want to live to 98!

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I have too much I want to accomplish. Duration is less important than setting foot on Mars. I want to run my toes through raw Martian soil.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I already know I don't. Granted, I am not in any special hurry to die but I've already seen and done much of what's important to me.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Millennials has become shorthand for anyone younger than me that I don’t agree with

6 years ago | Likes 737 Dislikes 4

This is a good joke.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Last time I checked the article-writer was a millenial themselves, so....

6 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

The best part are millennials calling those slightly younger than them millennials. Listen Karen, you are 36, THAT'S YOU TOO.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Right. Anyone born in this millennium, basically.

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The antonym is boomers....

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Millennials = anyone younger, Boomers = anyone older. Noteworthy, Dr. Dre is Gen X.

6 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

So was Obama. Only X'er POTUS before the Boomers got mad and yanked the steering wheel back.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

In Sweden our biggest problem is our fucking boomers who refuse to stay home because they think they are invincible.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I think Mother Nature’s working on that.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Tbf, Boomer is the opposite, the part where the overlap is is where you find Millenials

6 years ago | Likes 114 Dislikes 5

The difference is that Boomers deserve all their criticism. Millennials do not.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 10

in that case I'm looking f forward to you solving all the problems once you're in power (how's that going btw?)

6 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Hopefully they'll vote.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yep, not to be a negative nelly but if ya can't muster the gumption to vote I have a hard time believing in their power to get anything done

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

(laughs in Gen-X)

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm on the old end of millennial and I get called boomer...

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I know. Im 26 and got called that by aome 18 yr old on grindr. Like listen here you little shit.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be faaaaaiiiirrrr!

6 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Came here to say this. Good enough.

6 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Lol

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think it's broadened into a mentality of which not all actual baby boomers fit. My 66 year old mom for example's not one in that way.

6 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

#NotAllBoomers

6 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, right. You know why they call my generation the forgotten generation? Because that's what Gen-Xers are.

6 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

Something that gets brought up every time even though nobody asked about you, Daria. Go watch MTV and pretend to be a boomer

6 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Both true. Also Millennials are now realizing that every new generation gets shit on a bit before a new generation is old enough to get 1/2

6 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 2

"are now"? No, we've known for a long time.

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

2/2 shit on. I remember when Gen X were just a bunch of slackers and adrenaline junkies and the Greatest Generation were old coots.

6 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

it probably took some serious stones to shit on the greatest generation

6 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

It was exactly like millenials vs boomers.

Nah. The Boomers just thought their parents were boring squares.
