Every once in a while Mother Nature likes to remind us how our society doesnt really mean much to her plans. Stay dry, OP.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Haha :P Thanks but I'm not dry anymore :(

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm gonna assume this is the French speaking portion of Canada?

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

QC is the abbreviation for the province of Quebec. Went there once as a high school french trip, middle of winter. Was absolutely beautiful.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be honest, it was more of a joke on the English, but I would definitely love to make it up there!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep/oui

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Parts of the English-speaking portion across the river too.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Courage les québécois !

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Me: "Huh. I guess that's what happens when you live in a 3rd world... WAIT! THAT'S CANADA!?"

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I'm in MTL, the news just keeps getting worse. Stay safe! I'm glad Gatineau is receiving aid.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

The most Canadian thing I have ever read!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I wanna make a joke about that being in English but at this point all that matters is the well being of quebec.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A positive comment about Quebec? That's new! And appreciated of course.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He was apologizing for his English. He is a francophone i would assume.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

And soon a thin layer of snow

Apparently Sask is like the only place not flooding right now..

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Too fuckin flat for water to stay here. Plus the wind dries it up damn quick when its 60kph

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Only 60 near you? That's like a light breeze.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Upvotes from England, from a girl missing Saskatchewan skies and open prairie. We had a flood 6 years back. Hope all goes well

Former Saskatchewanian here! Also sending upvotes (from British Columbia).

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Did... did you just say sorry...?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Sorry

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

We're currently letting part of the (us side) lake ontario flood so montreal doesnt become this. Good luck friend

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Montreal declared a state of emergency yesterday too :(

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I honestly feel like nothing is being done so i dont care who is flooded anymore need 2 stop giving sandbags and actually do something

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's very neighbo(u)rly of you!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I mean it's not my choice. I'd rather not lose property like this but i get why a major city needs to avoid flooding so...

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I raised my dock 24 inches and last night the water finally made it over the top. RIP land value

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

:(

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why are you saying sorry its not like you ment for this to happen

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I guess op has some powers, because there is no other reason to say sorry in that post. Time to call exorcist

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Sorry, it's just a Canadian habit.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

From another floody floody town, stay safe and don't let them forget you need help AFTER the water is gone!

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah. Thanks stay safe too. I feel like the trend will not stay after the water will be gone :(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably not. *hug* Take lots of pictures. Helps remind your local leaders why paying for dikes/floodwalls/zoning enforcement are good.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are the ones who can do the most good in the long run, gotta convince them to fight alongside you for your town.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So true. My town has had three major floods since I moved here in '95. Some people are still recovering from the last one in '13.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You write as qurbecoise as you probably are :p much love and support from Alberta <3

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As an Ottawa resident, this is insane...I'm just glad I'm not near the areas affected, especially Britannia beach. Hope you are doing well!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Salut de Britannia Woods.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is Aylmer flooded? How about Chelsea?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Aylmer Marina is definitely under water, I think the water is lapping right up to the road.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good thing the town called a day off

9 years ago | Likes 441 Dislikes 2

Without pay :(

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's great that they called a day off but... what happens tomorrow? and the next day?

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Day off, again :)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure that in the US, all minimum wage workers would still be required to report for work in this situation.

9 years ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 4

When there were evacuations in Calgary a few years ago the mayor said to stay home. I had to work. I was removed from my house. Still worked

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yay US

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

"Oh, your entire street was two meters underwater? TOO BAD, LOL"

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Unless my building was under water, they'd expect us to be there.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree.

9 years ago | Likes 96 Dislikes 1

How is it going now? Everyone safe?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I will send a new post :)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Be safe! :D

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure you got the order wrong too, doggos 1st, kind of a coin flip between humans and cats though

9 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 3

Haha. Completly agree!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Cats first, I think most dogs are ok swimmers.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Smart one ;)

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Humans last , I like your thinking

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Well, humans are the most likely to survive.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why am I not hearing about this in Vancouver..?

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

It's been all over the news in Ontario

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

A lot of friend told me so in my own town so don't worry.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Probably because the rest of Canada doesn't really care about us

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

sad and true

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Most likely because you don't listen to or watch Canadian news

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Kelowna and other parts of BC are closing too. Two people are missing apparently

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Try watching the National from time to time?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I let the lady choose the channels so all we got is global which is garbage

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Make an over the air antenna out of a cookie tin! Super easy and it works great! Google it!

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I heard about it earlier - from Pennsylvania.
