No, this is your Insect Glaive. I was hoping you'd mount me with it.

Nah, it's a Gunlance

I run Glaive, but I am happy to see you. I've got Master Mounter so you know I'll be riding you multiple times before I capture you.

I was an insect glaive main in worlds, but trying it in wilds its almost too jumpy and uncontrolable, i can barely hit a creature as im flying through the air at mach 3. Im a switch axe main now, and honestly im enjoying it so much more

#1 Let the HONK be with you! Also that Rathalos was evil... but not as evil as Xu Wu and the other squid... Those were the only two I've needed help with so far,

The Abrahamics not so much

The idea that a shapeshifter would be anything but gender fluid is an absurdity. I'd have so much fun with it, I can't imagine being able to look however I want and to arbitrarily restrict myself to a single gender.

I suppose the real question isn’t “would you ever transform into both men and women” it’s that “is one of these different from how you perceive yourself?”. Like if I could shapeshift, I’d probably turn into a woman on occasion, DMing dnd for example would be a hoot, but that’s not the same as being a different gender, that’s like wearing a hat. I perceive myself as male, I don’t feel apart of woman spaces or struggles, I don’t resonate with feminine ideas. The gender fluid people I know aren’t

like that. Their very concept of who they are is both tethered to gender norms, but simultaneously embracing all of them. They aren’t pretending to be one or the other, they are that thing in their own way. If we could both shapeshift, I’d be able to pretend to be a woman, but they’d actually be one, I suppose is the difference

A lot of trans people say that, before they came out, when someone asked them what superpower they'd want to have, they'd immediately answer "Shapeshifting."

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If shapeshifting were a thing and I had it, I would totally want to experiment with configurations and just experiencing everything. But since here we are without it...I just accept the setup I've got and roll with it. The idea of feeling so out of place that I'd need surgery and hormones to correct it just feels alien to me. No offense to those for whom that's the case, of course! But at least for me, it feels more "I'm at home wherever I am" than "I want to change because I don't belong here."

"And now I'm a horse!" "NEIGH LOKI, THOUGH ART A DONKEY!"

1 year ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

"How will you find Loki in that herd of horses?"
A. "Heard of horses? You bet, there's a bunch over there"
B. "I figured I'd just hug each horse until one of them pulls a knife and tries to stab me."

Look for the one with a little spider-horse following it around.

I dunno, Brain. If I had an endless string of failures to my half-baked ideas to take over the world, I'd get high, too.

Brain looks super stoned here

#4 - Loki canonically horse-slutted Asgard out of a labor contract, then gave birth to an 8-legged arachno-horse.

Loki is a premium loot crate of WTF-ery. None of this even registers as a blip on his/her/their weird shit-o-meter.

1 year ago | Likes 286 Dislikes 1

Dude should be the God of Bards. Has proved he'll do anything.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Loki would never be this concise and orderly, he/she/they works on bugs-bunny gender, except for whatever is funny it's whatever is the most bullshit at the time.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

That horse is in the MCU.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Loki does whatever is the most chaotic gender non-conforming thing at any moment. Darth Vader can’t out drama’ing Loki.

1 year ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 0

I do not recall that being an idea Loki was especially happy about.
Wasn't he kinda pressured into that, and ended up stuck as a mare after being nonconsensually impregnated by the stallion he was supposed to be distracting?

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

yes

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, and very reasonably he would fuck up anyone who so much as breathed about it.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, but there was also the time he came up with the idea for Thor to cross-dress to steal Mjolnir back from the giants, and turned himself into a handmaiden to help

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I do not think the two events are in any way analogous.
Being willing to cross-dress does not mean you are willing to be raped.

And that is what happened. He didn't consent to sex with a horse, he was forced into it. That's rape. Or at least sexual assault, by his family no less, since you can't exactly hold a horse accountable.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's true, wasn't trying to imply it. Just giving a better example of the sentiment behind the comic

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Of course not, I didn't think you were, I'm sorry if I made it seem like I did.

The comic is wholesome, Loki could be argued to be NB in myth and perhaps, with his variant, even more strongly so in MCU. I just don't think the horse incident is a good example of it.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

He's canonically a shape shifter. He does whatever teh fuck he wants. Other people turned into fish and dragons and stuff. He turned into a mare and got plowed; god forbid a shape shifting god of mischief have hobbies OTHER than ending the world,.

1 year ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

He turned into a fish also. He was trying to hide because he pissed everyone off to Hel and back. Then he got tied up in a cave with the entrails of his own sons and had snake venom dripped in his eyes. There may be a reason he's the one who starts Ragnarok. The Aesir were all assholes in one way or another.

But they're still family!

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Loki was just ahead of his time and knew the truth

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

And what truth is that, you criminal carnivorous catsnake?

1 year ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I once said “get a load of this guy,” and was corrected that they weren’t a guy. I said, “Sorry, get a load of this person.”

I wanted to be dismissive of their opinion, not of their gender.

1 year ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 1

I use guy as a gender neutral term, imo I think you were in the clear. But I'm Australian, might be a locale thing.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

I do that sometimes as well, I think it's a knock-on effect of being Californian, where everyone and everything is "Dude"

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

The most inclusive thing you can do is treat someone like a person. And if they’re being an idiot, well that’s a kind of person. Being non conforming isn’t being an idiot, but having an idiot idea is.

1 year ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

That's why I call everyone dude

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

As someone who also calls everyone dude, please do respect when people do not want to be called dude.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

It's kinda weird, in some areas 'Dude' is very gendered, other areas less so... The test is if a dude can say 'I fucked a dude' and not have people know the genders involved without further clarification.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

it feels more context driven imo. if the context is gender neutral, then dude is gender neutral, if the context implies a male subject, then

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

dude is male in that context. it's kinda weird and blurry, but that's english for ya XD

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I got yelled out for telling a guy in a wheelchair he was dumb for some stupid opinion he had at a Christmas party. Everyone acted like I pushed him out of his wheelchair. I called him out for being an asshole.

IMO everyone else was being ableist in that sitch.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

People are scared of stuff that's different. But many realize this , and most overcome it ( current generation of humanity withstanding) . But this translates in part to a reverse of the attitude and people over compensate and now they start treating people with kid gloves etc. Honestly happens to almost any visible disability.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As someone w/ cerebral palsy fuck that dude and the ableists

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good on you. I’d totally make fun of you for being an asshole but you do seem cool.
