House appropriators are circulating a memo raising issues with the short-term funding bill that Speaker Kevin McCarthy is planning to bring to the floor, per a copy obtained by CNN.
Among the issues they point to: the lack of money for Ukraine and the fact that it doesn’t include a provision to block a cost-of-living-adjustment pay raise for lawmakers from going into effect, as the Senate’s stopgap bill does.

This quote was in 2010 at the National Association of Counties. The bill they were passing was not done in secret and was accessible for both parties to read. Her quote was meant to suggest that benefits of said bill would be understood after it passed mostly by individuals who were being kicked off insurance by insurance companies who didn't want to pay for their treatments.

It was gaff. Journalists jumped on her wording. Fox News (who you posted) purposely misrepresented it's intent. The bill passed and lo and behold it protected Americans who paid for insurance from being removed from said insurance. So feel free to find another example of Progressive Democrats trying to force a bill without letting anyone have a chance to read it. I will wait.

Point of the post is they both do it. None of them write their own bills. All of them add pork and special interests. I think you might be giving them too much credit. They're too disjointed and incompetent to actually leverage their house majority to get what they want, and the shutdown risk is the chaos from that flailing. They're gonna try to blame it on Biden but what's going on is just way too obvious for that to convince anybody who isn't already deep in their corner.
