Like lazy never ending summer vacation. Sunburned shoulders. Melted ice cream and sleeping on top of the covers. And "come home before the streetlights turn on. (I might have aged myself a bit there.)
That and hot summer afternoon garden hose water after riding bikes all over town are etched into my memory, along with over clorinated municipal outdoor pool water up the nose from a bad dive off the high dive.
My daughter doesn't like chocolate eggs. I normally buy her a little gift so she gets something. Nothing expensive, just the cutest of a couple of Easter eggs
We do fairly small baskets, but they’ll often have a little candy and some small outdoor/spring things. Bubbles, chalk, but definitely not presents. However I did just have this conversation with another parent that some people treat it like a smaller Christmas.
No you’re right. They technically are. But they’re small like activity things as opposed to big wrapped things. Honestly mostly things I’d buy for spring/summer outside anyway.
I think this is a case where it fits the dictionary definition, but most people don't think of them that way. A present is usually more of a targeted thing for a specific person, whereas an Easter basket is more of a generic activity thing for the kids. So 'present' is correct, but people would be surprised to realize that it is correct.
Even people who ostensibly care about animals don’t care as much about fish or insects (myself included). Probably because they don’t emote nearly as much as mammals or birds.
This feels like a good time to inform, then, that some of the most intelligent animals on Earth (who have passed the mirror test) are fish! Fish display surprising intelligence; cleaner wrasse have the ability to "lie" socially, various fish use tools, etc. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fish_intelligence

The one guy sipping from the clothes iron is the one that got a real life LOL out of me.
jimhotep
Same,
huffnpuff72
Same. It was timed really well in the clip too increasingly wondering what was going on and then bam. Iron.
CyberHexx
Then the dude with the fucking pot...
DonIsMe
Me too. It was his deadpan expression that made me laugh. Like "yeah, so I like to drink water out of the iron. So?"
SlaaneshiRightsFront
It's perfectly good water, and you want me to waste it? Or let it sit in there and scale up the inside of my iron? This is a hard water region, Tim.
RipThemUpRatchet
This might be the funniest professional prank I’ve ever seen

Oh boy, when all the victims have passed I'll tell you about 30 years in medical labs.
hotaru251
yeah actually funny to boot.
Ivain
Actually funny, doesn't harm anyone, doesn't even inconvenience anyone but the ones executing it, just causes non-essential confusion in the best way.
OliverClothesoff70
OK, so how many of us remember EXACTLY what the water inside the water gun tastes like?
Smallbrownrabbit
Why yes, yes we do.

We usually do Easter baskets. Not sure what Easter presents are lol
BJWTech
The stuff in the baskets....
AvsFreak
I guess chocolate is a present.
rowzdowr
We've always done Easter presents for our kids. Small stuff, candy and a gift card kind of thing, like Valentines with a rabbit.
sendmeyourpitbulls

Maybe it’s a language barrier thing, but what are those if not presents?

Why is this down voted , thats a disgusting disregard for an innocent life
Feralkyn
Whyyyyy is this downvoted. That's straight animal abuse.
And that fuckin music is people abuse.

I don't know. People seem to be fine with animal cruelty if it's for a joke.
