So awhile back this exchange happened. I was laying sick on chemo in the hospital (first checkup was last week and showed good signs of recovery!) and i got this generous offer! I was allowed to pick a comic and asked OP if he could pick one for me. Instead i got the offer that we both pick one.

This is the one i picked. Felt like it reflected my life perfectly! I’ve been going from one medical thing to the other for the past 10 years, and i’m still kicking! (You can read more in my bio about the my latest health concerns.)

Then OP picked this one out for me, or rather he made this one for me!! When i saw this on the front page i instantly felt like “huh... this one looks different than what he normally makes... it looks rather personal somehow...” turns out it was!

Had it removed, but have so many complications that left my leg paralyzed. Dr is not sure if I'll live past 5 years, since it's super rare.
