Fuck... I want a hijab with hotdogs and a metro card.

Still waiting on the taco trucks on every corner.

Though to be fair I live in a heavily Latino area and that ain’t far from reality.

He's so damned good at this.

10 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

This man deserve hijab.. I mean, the job.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

The only conspiracy I have, based entirely off of this single video, is that he can’t not have his arms bent at 90 degrees, and is therefore, at some level, doing the robot 24/7.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My gawd! Hey bob, it's a hotdog, hijab.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Smart talking and good looks - however, his suit looks horrible. I know this maybe is to highlight that he's a modern socialist, I just like aiming for perfection.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

Everything i see of this man makes see hope for the us. Especially the fact that hes wearing an ill fitting super inexpensive suit in this video. Im sick of seeing politicans wearing suits that cost more than my rent.

Has the *he eats dog & cat* crowd been heard from yet? Oh, sorry, it's not Halal

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I love that he ducked the tree branch. Didn't force it out of the way. Didn't have it cut previous to doing the take. He ducked it, like a normal human.

10 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

No such thing as *normal*. It's a control word. Who's foundation of normal are you operating from? Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, How about Charles Manson, Jeffry Dahmer? Y'all believe in the *father of psychology* Sigmund Freud... Who was a mother loving cocaine addict... Yes sir, let's get right on that *normal train* and ride it to *Schizophrenic Town*

I’ve never actually heard this guy speak. I’m sorry maybe I live in cave.

But he seems genuine and actually very funny. I would definitely vote for him if I lived in New York City.

10 months ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

I like how he was asked what he liked about previous mayors, and he had an unironic, positive answer about the last four or five of them

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

he has some great zingers in the debate with cuomo and clownshoes

10 months ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

You may not be able to vte for him but you can donate to his campaign if you're in the states! Any small amount helps, he is up against Cuomo's big corporate donors.

10 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Good point!

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is just the tip of the halal cart. You shoukd deep dive him. Especially when he calls cuomo out for not having integrity

10 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

This must have been from his primary race because he says June 24 for voting. This general is in two weeks or something.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He’s gonna win.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I will NOT be voting for him.

I live on the other side of the country.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This man is conveying so much New York energy that I found a chopped cheese grilling on my stove

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I dont care about who or what you put in charge of things as long as they can do their jobs. Except cats. Don't put a fucking cat in charge of shit. They just push everything off tables and piss behind the couches and then you have to play "whats that smell" for 3 days looking for it.

10 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Put cats in charge of cats. See how they like it for a change.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think that's Curtis Sliwa's plan for the NYC rat issue. But other than that, I don't think there's much advocacy for cats in charge of things.

Red hat mad

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"Centrists" (diet red) hate Mamdani, too. Remember, a bunch of idiots actually voted for Cuomo, and a lot of Democrats didn't endorse him. Much of the American Democratic Party would be red on much the civilized world.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If it wasn't for the fact that there's a far far FAR right party right now Dems would definitely be on the right

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tiny octopus would say a wild thing too if he ever got to meet Mandani.

Like "As-salamu alaykum".

He's a candidate I'd like to have a beer with.

He might not drink, being a Muslim. But he has purchased and smoked grass from a legal dispensary! I’d be down to share a spliff with him

Early voting starts in 2 days!

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm glad I don't live in America but I'd vote for him

10 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I do not! wish to live in nyc. Can’t stand the place, however I would love to wave that flag of support for this fella.

10 months ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 2

Upstate New York is also New York. The finger lakes are beautiful. Plenty of clean open spaces.

10 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Completely! I specifically mean nyc. I like upstate very much.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Same!!!

And here I thought the revolution would start in California. But in this Reality it seams New York City and fucking Portland are running the show. Good work boys. And girls. And all others be you Gendered or non-gendered or un-gendered or ¿quasi-gendered?

Signed - your often sceptical northern neighbour.

10 months ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

LA got hit early and defended itself with riots as is tradition. Portland is hit currently and is doing an unprecedented job of showing how absurd the 'warzone' rhetoric is. San Francisco is up next.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

as is halal and holy

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There’s no starting gun — revolutions happen all over, all the time. The question is simply, “Which one will crack the levees?”

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If Mamdani wins this election I have a feeling it will go down to be the start of the largest political shift in recent US history.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Having lived in LA, the bay area, and NYC at different points in my life, I am not surprised at all that NYC is setting a better example. While California is pretty liberal overall, it's a lot fewer actual progressives and a lot more establishment Dems/NIMBY style libs.

10 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I mean, I like it. But I also remember the other idiot... What was his name? The one Imgur was all over and then he had a stroke and suddenly he's a typical shitty politician. Fetterman or something?

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 16

To be fair, Fetterman had a history of violence and racism before the stroke that people were really, really trying to make known while he was running.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You admitted he had a stroke, might be why he changed and people don't like him.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think it says something that the man basically turned Republican due to brain damage.

10 months ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

It turns out people are liked when they are good and likable and hated when they become fascistic shitheads. Not sure why you're bringing up Fetterman here, don't think we're necessarily at risk of Zohran Mamdani getting brain damaged into being a Nazi.

10 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Well, if you don't understand I can explain. He too was well liked, spoke well, promised good things, had a lot of support, and received applause when elected. Afterwards he turned to be a typical shitty politician. I hope that made it clearer without throwing shade on Zohran that has, yet, no reason to be thrown. Cautiously optimistic.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 4

By all appearances, Fetterman does seem to have undergone some changes due to an outside medical event.

It's not that I don't understand the practicalities of your point, it's that I don't understand why you think they'd apply. You'd have more of a point if you were to reference how Obama had a cultivated image of being a personable and progressive POC who turned out to be extremely moderate and somewhat typical as far as politicians go.

While cautious optimism is warranted in general 1/2

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

with regards to politicians, contextualizing is important.

Because it's not just that Fetterman turned out to be a "typical" politician. It's that he's also become more aggressive and lost his personable edge, which someone like Obama never did.

Maybe he'll turn out to be a moderate paperweight like Obama. Who knows? But pumping the brakes on a rare fount of positivity is exhausting, and doing so on a tenuous and unlikely-to-repeat line of logic is likely why you're getting downvoted. (2/2)

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Imo your phrasing put people off, fwiw. It was the "the one Imgur was all over" as if you are standing above all that, plus the comparison without saying you hope he doesn't end up that way. I for one am glad you clarified; there's enough rightwing trolls about and concern-trolling was old five years ago

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well rational adults can change their opinions as new information presents itself.

Fetterman says good things, opinion of him good
Fetterman does a 180 to do the exact opposite, opinion of him bad.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

True. The downvote squad seems to think I'm against Zohran or some such. I see another bunch of people ready to Fetterman another politician without too much critical thinking, but hey, opinions.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also, like... He was running against Dr Oz. He was probably still the better choice...
