I know everyone on Imgur is an animal lover, but...

Jan 16, 2017 3:18 AM

Don't get me wrong, I love my cat, but if he decided to go apeshit and attack me, a loved one, or someone else, I wouldn't hesitate to wring his neck. Humans come first, and I think anyone who values an animal's life more than a human's is a moron.

Cat Tax

Seeing as Dr. Watson is the kindest cat in the world, I don't think he has much to worry about.

On the other hand if somebody attacks my cat, Id fuck them up right then

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 3

I used to have a cow that would paw at the ground and get ready to charge every time I tried to feed it so I carried a heavy stick with me 1

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just in case he actually charged and someone told me it was animal abuse. Guess I should have been trampled.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My issue is that some people would say a barking German Shepherd or pit bull is vicious simply because of the breed.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

If a dog actually attacks you then kill it. If you kill a dog because you THINK it will attack you, you're a terrible person.

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

"Don’t kill if you can wound, don’t wound if you can subdue, don’t subdue if you can pacify and don’t raise your hand at all until you’ve ->

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

first extended it." -Wonder Woman

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

That mentality worked well for a friend of mine who had to have his arm put back together after a pit got ahold of it.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Talk shit get hit

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

It goes the same for people

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Since humans are basically animals, yes.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

values a human life over a pets... because pet cats are known for their ability to kill their human prey. happens daily. feeds them for days

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

Yeah. I think...I think this is probably a good idea. And one shared by the majority, if not all, people. So -1 for poor application.

9 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 3

you would be surprised how many people seem to disagree with this idea.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Does this go for people too? Cos i feel like it should go for people too.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It does, humans are basically animals, so you can defend yourself from one xD

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I agree. This in light of an event here in the Netherlands where a woman shot their two dogs when they attacked her husband.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My neighbor's boxer jumped the fence and clamped down on my calf. I punched that fucker right in the nose. Fucking hate untrained dog owners

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You can fend off the animal without killing it. Like if some tiny ass cat attacks your mate, killing it would be excessive. All I'm saying.

9 years ago | Likes 230 Dislikes 13

ya, OP is totally a faggot

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

But if it is a huge dog that has a huge amount of firepower and attacks unprovoked....

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Why are we giving guns to dogs?! This has to stop!

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That I can fully understand, but OP made it sound like he'd just kill any animal that tries to hurt him which is just totally unnecessary.

9 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

1/2 Sure, but he premised it in a way that made it seem like he has been attacked about his views, used the meme right

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2/2 quite frankly didn't provide enough details to leap to "sociopathy".

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

neck. Sounds like he's implying he'd kill his cat which is, again, totally excessive. 2/2

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He didn't, so I'm not assuming that much, but he blatantly said if his cat lashed out at him or a mate, he wouldn't hesitate to ring its 1/2

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

OMG I am sorry. IMGUR can be confusing with opening comment threads. Someone else was saying he was a violent psychopath.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

1/2 I just was like, k the guy is probably on the defense. No way his cat could ACTUALLY lead to neck ringing but I wouldn't mind kicking a

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I opened your reply instead. But yeah like even mean animals deserve humane deaths.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think some humans' life come first, not always. If a dog is eating a pedophile alive, I'll bring a cookie for the dog.

9 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 11

If a dog attacks my dog I will kick it hard. Against the head or the rib cage. Been there, done that.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Dude look at ur animal...it's a house cat, if it went "ape-shit" on you or someone else you just pick it up and remove it from the situation

9 years ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 11

Agreed

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

Speaking as someone who was attacked by a pet and hospitalized as an infant, fuck you

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 8

Was that pet a 5lbs house cat?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh ffs if it was a cat u still don’t have to kill it. A fucking gerbil could smother an infant you don’t chuck it into a wall for crawling-

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

In the crib

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It is unclear to me why you think it's so easy simply to pick up a furious animal with natural weapons. You've never seen an animal fight?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 7

Judging by some of the comments on this post, I'm starting to think a lot of people on Imgur have never seen an actual animal attack...

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

I have. Unless a cat is rabid, or you're locked in a box together, you kick it once and it will run away.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's one thing if you are an adult, and quite another if you are an infant or young child

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

I mean, I guess if you had a 3lb premie. So an adult intervenes and kicks the cat. It's not going to fight you in a quest to eat your baby.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think rabies is probably the only possible cause of OP's hypothetical combat scenario, so, yeah.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Cats its fairly easy to "scruff" them and move them. My very large, young cat still bites/scratches pretty bad (working on that) so I (1/)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

scruff him behind his neck to get him to stop biting and then move him. You'll get a few scratches in the process, but its possible (2/2)

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

1) I don't disagree. But I don't think "warning bites" are the hypothetical scenario OP is talking about. Cats were a bad example not

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

2) because they can't inflict damage but because they typically don't *want* to. You shouldn't try that technique with a rabid cat.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Someone's dog come running up to me and snarling at my kid. Punched it in the skull and knocked it out. Didn't feel bad at all. #getaleash

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You sounds like a psychopath....

9 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 8

Enlighten me

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 7

He's sounds like Napoleon Dynamite. Watch out whiskers I can and will totally kill you if you attack me, I know karate.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Wikipedia definition makes most internet people psychopaths.Antisocial, impaired remorse/sympathy, egotistical. We all psychopaths, but lazy

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I live in the woods, I always carry something when I walk my dog. I'm sure I'll never use it, but better safe than sorry.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I had a dog attack me and had to kill it. Neighbor would not keep it on his property. Had to stab it through the neck and shoot it

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I agree but you executed this information really poorly and came off with this crazy sense of entitlement over other animals.

9 years ago | Likes 105 Dislikes 28

I think most people in the world would agree that humans ARE entitled over other animals. Disagreeing with that is a niche, recent concept?

9 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 16

Interesting. Judging by the way the points are going, it seems that PETA found this post. (I'm half joking)

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Check your human privileges

9 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

For real man. @op just seems like an arse. Also one would hope he'd think the same about humans going ape shit deserve the same treatment.

9 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 8

ANIMAL LIVES MATTER

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

No

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

We eat other animals, we keep them as pets, we wear their hair and skin for clothing. We don't usually do that to humans

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

Show me a non-human animal that has achieved the kind of civilisation humans have, and we can talk about putting them on one level with us.

9 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 20

I almost lost my eyeballs with how extreme my eye roll was. Thanks.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Depends. If an animal attacks me I'll defend myself. If someone goes to where an animal is and gets attacked...not the animal's fault.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It is still the animals fault, but some of the blame is shared with the human for being an idiot

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

guard dogs, or idiots that go to gator holes and get bit by gators.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Dude my cat viciously attacks me every day. It's a fucking four kilo cat I'm not exactly scared

9 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 7

That's what like 10lb? Awe. My kittie is 18lb. He's s chubby one.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Oh but you should be... Revenge will come, fools. Soon...

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Is your pussy was cocaine it would be worth about $80,000.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Sounds like a fun animal.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

The flippant way you treat this suggests that it's playing, and either you don't know what an actual attack is like, or you're exaggerating.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Children please

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

i think it's more flippant because the average house cat maxes out at 15 lbs. if you're scared of something and you're 100+ lbs heavier 1/

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

/2 you probably shouldn't own a pet.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Have you ever seen a knife? They're wonderfully handy tools and weigh less than a pound, but they can be dangerous if used in an attack.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 5

yes, a knife and a cat. the same exact thing.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If people didn't keep pets that had any potential to do damage, they certainly wouldn't keep dogs. Some dogs even *do* hurt people.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Just had a lady's boxer mauled to death a couple neighborhoods over by 2 pits. I always carry a weapon while taking a walk for that reason.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

The issue isn't the animals it's the owners... carry a gun... but shoot the owners...dogs are just animals till humans make them bad or good

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 11

Well I'd shoot the dog that was about to attack me, and chew the owners out. But I get what you're saying.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Oh damn... that's terrible. Sorry to hear about the boxer. They're lovely dogs.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I remember living in an area where dog fighting was common and the pits would get out all the time. They tore apart our cat in the backyard

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I was going to add a frowny face at the end of that sentence but I ran out of characters so :(

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Dude it's a house cat, coke on, you almost seem like you're wishing for a situation that allows you to kill something just because you /1

9 years ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 10

Want to kill something, like, I agree in theory, but you honestly come off as a psychopath with a superiority complex over a fucking cat /2

9 years ago | Likes 66 Dislikes 8

Spot on

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

1/2 I saw it more as he had an argument where someone was like "oh no just a poor innocent animal.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

this was the impression i get from the way this post is written, too. weird fuckin post my man.

9 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

2/2 I was a vet tech and had to help vets cut off unvxnated dog's heads because they bit someone, to test for rabies.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Cut off? Tf there’s easier ways to euthanize there dexter.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I guess I didn't clarify, but, I agree with the idea of what he's saying, more or less, it's just the way he worded it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't think you need to kill your cat, OP. It's hardly going to be able to fatally wound a human.

9 years ago | Likes 92 Dislikes 9

My brother was outside talking to our neighbor and a cat ran up and jumped him. It was on him for just seconds before the neighbor grabbed..

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

the cat and broke it's neck. My brother had a prolonged hospital stay, with multiple lacerations clear to the bone. I think when cats...

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

attack normally it's just a warning cause that cat could have definitely killed him.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Dogs on the other hand

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

That's what they want you to think, right up until they suffocate you in your sleep.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, it definitely could, but the chances are not likely.

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

I want to see you get relentlessly bitten and clawed by a cat when you are walking down the road. I bet you would at least punt that fucker

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

I think OP is a very small and delicate person

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

We had a cat that was a total jerk and attacked us when he felt like it. My brother has a 4in scar on his arm. We had that cat 17years. <3

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

OP is just trying to be edgy

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Cats have been known to attack infants

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Though think about this: a cat might be able to kill you but what about people with children? I know people with terrible scars from that.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 3

2/2 why own it. Same reason serial killers get executed.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 3

I've never met a domesticated animal that attacked without provocation. If it is "vicious" it's prolly because some human was a shitbag.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

1/2 Cats can carry diseases in their mouths that can make wounds septic. I wouldn't kill one for biting but it it was just vicious,

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

(that being cats attacking them as children)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Regardless, don't animal bites usually have a bad chance of getting effective? I realize OP meant the cat as an example.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Infected, and yes. Because they lick poop from their butt, ect.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Cat bites have an unusual high chance of cat fever. If you feel seriously ill after a cat bite go to the hospital.

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, cat bites in particular, however killing your cat isn't going to stop an infection.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

right like wtf is up with this guy

9 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 14

yes exactly my thoughts.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Just needed an example and probably doesn't have another pet

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Just making a good backup story for the time he murders his cat "SEE I TOLD THIS WOULD HAPPEN! I HAD MY REASONS! SEE!"

9 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Sadly a few years ago my buddy had a pit that he rescued. Dog was really sweet but I came over one day not knowing he wasn't home.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

aaaaand then....

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The rest didn't post together damn. Basically I had to stab the dog. Dog lived but I don't trust him.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

News for you: that dog wasn't "really sweet".

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He was at first.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Shit. I wouldn't trust anything I stabbed and didn't die either. Sorry that happened. What happened with the homeowner?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well he's a good buddy. I called him once I got the dog under control, he was understanding thankfully, didn't send me the vet bill lol

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He still has the dog, names Budge. We have an understanding but it's a shaky relationship.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure you wouldn't need to kill a house cat that's attacking you.

9 years ago | Likes 233 Dislikes 13

I mean, technically, you don't *need* to do anything; you can just lie down and starve at any time. There are different kinds of "need".

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

You probably would not know it was a house cat if it started attacking you. I wouldn't take the chance on getting rabies from a feral cat

9 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

You can lose an eye pretty damn quick

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

ya the cant really do to damage

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

My brother was attacked by a cat, it was able to claw him clear to the bone. Had no idea a cat could do that.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I had a friend who had a crazy cat that would trap her in her bathroom frequently due to attacks. It needed euthanized...

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

would the cat lock the bathroom door from outside?

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

no she was terrified to leave because the cat would attack her viciously, leaving deep bloody tears in her flesh. The cat was not right.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Someone clearly hasn't seen Pet Semetary. Sometimes, dead is better.

HOW DO YOU KNOW

Someone's never seen the Boondock Saints.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

cats can certainly leave some painful bites and scratches but it's definitely not enough to threaten your life...this post was just weird.

9 years ago | Likes 127 Dislikes 7

Would guess it would be like with a dog. Attack humans, get put down

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Actually they can cut pretty deep. It's extremely possible to have an artery punctured by a cat attack. Also they can give nasty infections.

9 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 26

your house at mr. fluffles has a 99.99% chance of never being able to kill you.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What if he shreds your jugular in your sleep

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's technically possible, but it'd be an accident. The claws aren't long enough, and they go for the eyes anyway. They don't bite that way.

9 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

My brother was attacked by a cat, neighbor was nearby and killed the cat. It did an amazing amount of damage to him. Cut clear to the bone.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

exactly. watson up there has a lower likelihood of killing you than most things in your house. this post was fuckin weird

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well, *killing* you, yes. If it had a desire (rabies or something) then it could inflict serious damage, if not lethal. Cat is bad example.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Cat scratches can actually kill you. Or at least make you incredibly I'll and in need of an ER stay. Just saying

9 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 21

Yeah but technically anything can kill you.

9 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

So if a cat scratched you, you would kill it to protect from infection?
