Possibly; this is a Eurasian Eagle Owl so at its largest it could take cats. But a cat would also put up a good fight and the owl might well
change its mind partway through. I think they do sometimes do it, though.

As with most birds, owls are much more fragile than their sizes suggests and generally avoid 'prey' that can fuck them up in return.
