I much enjoyed Fallout and the hideous steps of the story which could well make Fallout the best sci-fi series of 2024.

I think it’s been great so far. My SO and I stayed up late and finished episode 4 last night. So far I keep seeing mostly positive opinions of it. I played the original Fallout years ago when my son who is 13 now was only about a year old. Now he is really into gaming and he has played a couple of the Fallout games. It’s been great getting to sit down and watch the series with him too and reminisce over playing the game and pointing out all the little details that line up with the show.

You'll have to decide for yourself. It is visually well done. They did an excellent job of getting the game's appearance. Walton's performance is fantastic. Looking at the comments, I seem to be in the minority.

Very. It keeps the dark humor of the games, lore is mostly consistent with the games, but over all still feels like it's own thing. I'm only on episode 5, but good story so far, good characters and character development. And Wolton Goggins!

not a fallout fan but I think it is good, I played the game only for a limited time, so not sure if the movie is aligned with the game

You're thinking enclave, who literally claim to be the continuation of the US government. BoS are an isolationist paramilitary group with deep religious undertones who want to "save" everyone by keeping technology secure. It be the equivalent only if our dpt. Of edu. Was run by the navy.

Religious groups, like the BoS, are the biggest proponents of the American sex education system, saying it shouldn't be taught, or that abstinence only is the only way to teach it. Leading to situations like that portrayed in this scene.

Except the US department of edu. doesn't say it can't be taught. There is no federal mandate that health and reproductive education can not be taught. It's is left up to the states, with a base outline of what has to be taught and each school district formulating their curriculum around that, either going w/ baseline or expanding. Just because a few states are run by religious fanatics doesn't mean they all are.
