Stripping it means you have tightened the bolt so much that the threads can no longer hold and strip off rounding means the head of the bolt

You're locked into thinking "bolts". For the average lay person the common "strip" is a screw, and they mean the drive not the threads.

It isn't a Wrench - it's oddly shaped pliers. Just like pliers, the size of the opening here depends on your grip strength.

Get a nice set of knipex. I use it in the aerospace industry and they are a life saver. Almost every AME has a set if not a couple of sets

There are tools called "adjustable wrench". Some of them have adjustable grip in steps. That's "Adjustable pipe wrench".
