That is just ridiculously good.

Nailed my favorite scene in the movie where Varang steals a humans crocs and her feet find relief for the first time ever.

I've never seen the movie, and this just straight looks like movie set-tier design. Amazing work.

I was thinking the same. But honestly this looks more “realistic” which is odd to say but it’s wicked good.

I for one welcome our blue cat overlords.

I was actually really impressed with this characters design in this movie.

18 hours ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I was surprised to learn she is played by Oona Chaplin. Charlie Chaplins granddaughter.

15 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This is definitely not a "I can fix her" but a "She can ruin me" situation

20 hours ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

More like "I would ruin her..."

18 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I was gonna say her poor squished girls, the might need a break.

17 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You know what, Quaritch? I would've folded, too

21 hours ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

I love that he spends all this time talking shit about the Navi and once he meets a goth one who likes fire he goes native in 10 seconds

20 hours ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

There is no force more powerful than a goth baddie who likes fire

18 hours ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

#1
Eywa sees all things
Now through German sniper glass
Sacred optics glow
Wups - I read that as Olga HAIKU...

Makes me realise we could've had an Avatar movie without spending hundreds of millions on CGI. Just an amazing prosthetics/makeup/costume department could've sufficed.

#9...I zoomed.

17 hours ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

See, why couldn't they just do that for the movie rather than all the uncanny CGI nonsense...

18 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I was seriously wondering about that missing finger.

19 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

#2 anyone else zoom in to be disappointed by a bead?

18 hours ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

17 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Was the movie even a fraction as good as this cosplay?

18 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yes

16 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Really? Hell ya, I’m gunna check it out

6 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

ok women, how uncomfortable would it be to bind your bits in a narrow wicker band?

20 hours ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Depends on the band and the tits. Doesn't strike me as a great time, but she seems to be doing alright with it.

8 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Depends how tight it would be. The tighter, the more painful. It's like you would press on a really, really strong bruise.

18 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Step 1 be hot.

The people calling everything AI indiscriminately are just as damaging to creators as the AI itself

21 hours ago | Likes 161 Dislikes 2

I'm prepared for the downvotes; using extensive photoshop crosses the boundary of "cosplay." Whether AI or Photoshop or any other digital image manipulation, in the first pic she has only 4 digits on each limb and it's not from tape and paint. The rest of the shoot is fully impressive, but the first image feels misleading and damaging to the authenticity of cosplay creators.

8 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 3

I was guilty of that at first but when presented with the evidence I was wrong I owned up to it

18 hours ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Immediately jumping to "AI" without giving any evidence to support the claim is a clear indication (to me anyway) that that person isn't very bright.

11 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Old movies are even getting called AI despite not having a slop filter of any kind. I recommend these people take advantage of tools for detection which are not LLMs or Stable Diffusion or anything like that. Much simpler neural networks to detect the others. Not new tech. Though so many companies choosing to rebrand their shit as "AI" in the market boom has not been helpful.

Ngl, I only question it because its probably the most perfect cosplay I have ever seen. But id lean into its more likely that she has a professional special effects makeup team.

7 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd argue even more damaging, because they're too stupid to tell the difference and too mean to shut the fuck up and mind their own business

18 hours ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

It's the people with no creativity in themselves. People who can only criticize and not create anything.

8 hours ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

i totally agree with your point
however this specific artist did not do herself any favor by using a massive amount of photoshop for something that people would believe was cosplay.

i remember the dragon one she did and everyone was amazed about the wings. and once it was clear it was not real that kinda hurts the artist integrity

18 hours ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 6

Yesn't. While I agree that it's better - and a lot more interesting - to disclose what's what, good retouching is also a skill.

The EU just passed a law, that public AI content must be marked as such. It enters in force in 2 days.
I wonder how imgur will do it, and if non EU countries might profit from it as well. Might take some time and a few court rulings for proper implementation, but it's a good step forward.

12 hours ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes. The problem is enforcement though, especially on sites full of user generated content.

4 hours ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yep. I keep seeing call outs of "It's AI!", then I look and it seems more like a Photoshop edited photo. I suppose one uses a computer and prompts it to do something by clicking a button in Photoshop so I guess that's AI now.

19 hours ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

honestly I don't even think they're damaging the AI at all, I've called out a few things that were blatantly AI and damn, some people just cannot accept that pretty lady with the watermark of an AI companion site is AI. Like I would get it if you think it's still pretty even if it's AI, that's expected when they literally plagiarize from all the most attractive pinups of history. But denying that it's AI because it's hot? That's cult behaviour.

On Imgur it's wildly hypocritical; a site owned by StarLabs AI, Inc. that's an image & video sharing site (the only one owned by an AI Inc). Streaming represents the most Data Center use by volume. Nearly all Imgur posts are AI -- everything that's not an original pic or vid -- so it's odd to see one thing attacked while most is ignored. It's algorithms are AI. But it's not about logic; it's all about anonymous followship in herds of sheeple.

Correction: It's MediaLab AI, Inc. not Starlabs; that's my laptop brand https://starlabs.systems

I was on Imgur before it was bought out.
